While some of these older designs are shrink-wrapped on the face, the Walking with Series Ceolophysis does have lips which the When Dinosaurs Roamed America model lacks.
I really like how you bring the fact that birds are dinosaurs when the opportunity presents itself! And by the way, the Lego Coelophysis was named a Gallimimus for one small poly bag they released back when the first Jurassic World movie premiered
Here are a few more interpretations of Coelophysis that I'm aware of: Wah Chang's Dinosaurs: The Terrible Lizards - Coelophysis was featured briefly in this stop-motion documentary. Land of the Lost (1974) - a Coelophysis named, Spot, was featured in various episodes of this television show. The show reused the same stop-motion model from the previous entry. Coelophysis: Dinosaur Series by Janet Riechecky (1990) - One of many books in a series that focuses on Dinosaurs. This particular entry obviously focused on Coelophysis. Kenner's Jurassic Park (1993) - The toy line, released around the same time as the film, featured a few figurines of Coelophysis. The figurines also came with a collector card illustrated by the late paleoartist: Brian Franczak. Looking At...Coelophysis: A Dinosaur from the Triassic Period by Graham Coleman (1994) - Another book part of a series that focuses on Dinosaurs. From the title, it's obvious that this book focuses on Coelophysis. The Magic School Bus: In the Time of the Dinosaurs (1994) - During the Triassic segment of this book, Coelophysis is briefly featured. Dinosaur Adventure 3D (1995) - Coelophysis is featured in this PC Game. It's one of the dinosaurs in the mini-game, "Scrambled Eggs" & is also in the Triassic section of Paleo Island (erroneously referred to as "Syntarsus" which is a completely different theropod from Coelophysis) The Magic School Bus Explores in the Age of Dinosaurs (1996) - Coelophysis is featured in the Triassic segment of this PC Game but is referred to by its' outdated name; Rioaribbasaurus. Dinosaur Ghosts: The Mystery of the Coelophysis (1997) - This book was written by J. Lynette Gillette, illustrated by Douglas Henderson & focuses on the discovery of numerous Coelophysis fossil from Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. Dinosaur A - Z: For kids who really love dinosaurs! by Roger Priddy (2004) - Coelophysis was featured in this book as an entry for the letter: C Safari Ltd. - The toy company came out with a figurine for Coelophysis in 2017. Earth Before Us: Dinosaur Empire! by Abby Howard (2017) - Coelophysis is featured in the Triassic portion of this Graphic Novel. In the book, it's given a coat of feathers with a color scheme similar to that of Pileated Woodpeckers.
My first introduction to Coelophysis was a book we read in class when I was in elementary school, Cam Jansen: The Mystery of the Dinosaur Bones. Been a fav dino since.
@@SmashBrosAssemble just needs a little more flesh on the face, correctly facing hands, I suppose some feather covering, and Voila paleontologically accurate Coelophysis.
Glad you mentioned the "Dinosaurs Alive!" depiction, it's a good image and was also depicted in the documentary as living alongside the pre-saurian Effigia also discovered on Ghost Ranch. While there might not be many depictions, maybe do an interpretations of Effigia
I actually visited Ghost Ranch in New Mexico on one family vacation; got to see the site where Coelophysis was first discovered in the _hundreds._ It also has a major presence in the Triassic hall at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History in Albuquerque (it being the official state fossil).
The first time I ever saw this dino was on Bizarre Dinosaurs, used to love that documentary, had it recorded to an old dvr as a kid, and I watched it all the time. I later saw it on WWD, which is still my personal favorite design.
Walking with Dinosaurs, When Dinosaurs Roamed America, Carnivores, Jurassic World games, Spot from Land of the Lost (which isn't mentioned here), and the deleted coati-styled one planned for Dinosaur Revolution (which somewhat resembles the feathered version from Prehistoric Kingdom) are my favourite interpretations of Coelophysis. Even though we don't know what colour it was, the green and brown designs seem to look the best (in my opinion).
Ah, NM's state fossil. One I'll never forget as I know the cast of the 7 body pile-up well on display at the natural history museum in downtown. There's even a life-sized bronze model of what it possibly looked like next to the cast. I visit the museum often even though I don't live there anymore. That and my all-time favorite display and dinosaur, parasaurolophus and the honk simulator
12:14 I have that figure from 2015, I remember mine was labelled Gallimimus, which is weird since they made a different (and arguably better) gallimimus five years later
Hello Dino Guy. I'd like to reccomend you a game i'd think you'd like! The game is called "Dino Trauma" it's a game on steam, and i'd describe it as a horror-shooter-puzzle game. I dont know exactly what kind of games you like to play, but i do know you happen to like dinosaurs, and dinosaurs are this games focus. The games setting is faux-jurrasic park also! I think youd really like the game (and i really like to see you play it aswell.) Have a great day, your one of my favorite youtubers, and definitely my favorite dino and paleo youtuber.
10:50 You think this is a bad Coelophysis? Wait till you find out that this same mold was later used for Gallimimus (thankfully, they later made a new Gallimimus).
the creature found in the Coelophysis stomach content was not a juvenile of the same species but an equally fascinating Archosaur by the name of Hesperosuchus. what makes Hesperosuchus just as interesting is that it's part of the group Crocdylomorpha aka the only group of Pseudosuchians to survive the end Triassic extinction and gave rise to modern day Crocodilians as well as other extinct variants.
@@DinoGuy8 it's still great to bring up Triassic Crocodylomorphs as like small Periman Cydodonts and early avian dinosaurs as in creatures that lived in the shadows of their relatives that they outlived.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the fact that Coelophysis is the first theropod dinosaur to have visited space (the second dinosaur overall after Maiasaura)

I remember doing a dinosaur project back in 2nd grade and the dinosaur that I did it on was coelophysis
The most common dinosaur of the Triassic
Yay we finally have Coelophysis. I love this little dude, so much so that I made a Coelophysis OC named Dennis.
Coelophysis wasn’t the biggest dinosaur ever but where their strength fails they increase in huge numbers
