- Welcome to the Summary and analysis of Turok: Son of stone. It's a 2008 animated movie about Turok the dinosaur hunter. I'm Soar Loser and we dive deep into this film. Hopefully I get to share my joy of dinosaurs with you. If you happen to see your art and it's not credited please let me know and I'll fix that. I hope you enjoy!

One note: the species name does not need the capital letter, only the genus name needs it.
Also, mosasaurs were not deep sea creatures, they lived for the most part in shallow waters, like the Western Interior Seaway, were Tylosaurus lived.
Also he called certain creatures genuses even after he read out the species names
thank you for your criticism, I will definitely be changing the way I do that in the future
@@SaurLoser Ya welcome
As a Kid I grew up with Turok 64.
I really Enjoyed this movie, and wish more people talked about it. It seems to be more focused on the original novels
Great Review!
Thank you so much!
I love that Turok catches that axe, then right before it cuts, he glances at it and gets the same surprised expression on his face as Redstripe.
Do a review on the game as well big man
The people have spoken!
This is lit big man. You are good at this!
Very cool vid, I had heard of Turok but never really dove much deeper into what it really is, but seeing this recap and just how badass he is I'm all for it and will prolly get the night dive rerelease to try out the game!
Subbing for more badass dino content !
thank you so much I really appreciate it
The terror birds where probably based off of titanis. When it was found its arms where thought to have looked similar to dromeosaurs arms.
That's been disproven since the mid 2000s.
@@daliborjovanovic510 this movie was made in the mid 2000s but also its a fantasy movie in a franchise with aliens
Definitely need that review chief
Yes! TORK video game story review.
Great content. Even better channel name
That do not feed the wildlife sign looks... Interesting
2:51 ah yes

I can’t wait for the 2008 Turok vid
I love turok (2009) it was the first game I played as a kid I wish it didn’t get as much hate as it does
I really don't get the hate. It was a complete game. The one that deserves it is Turok Evolution. That game was not ready for release.
Good content my man
thank you I really appreciate it!
I've never seen this Turok animated film. Doesn't look like it is based off the Valiant 1990s Turok comics I enjoyed back then.
I'd be down for a review of Turok 2008. Might actually be my favorite Turok game. Shame we didn't get that sequel as it sounded awesome. I think the Xbox 360 version remains playable online, PS3 version online is gone.
It's based on the original 1950s comics that the Valiant ones were based on!
God that carno makes my fucking pancreas ache.
Not only does dude have WAAAY too big arms, considering carnotaurus arms are so small as to almost be considered vestigial. (As well as also not possessing claws at all) but the carnos ridiculously long arms are ALSO pronated!
Fucking A.
It’s also much too large, as SL pointed out.
But not only that…carnotaurus is postulated to have been a VERY proficient runner, at least in a straight line, with the chevrons at the base of the tail vertebrae being shaped in such a way as to heavily imply enormous muscles in that region. Muscles that are implicated in pulling the legs back. So, this would indicate that carnos could run quite fast…not to mention the rigidity of the tail, to help with aerodynamics, and the overall disproportionate size of the legs compared to the rest of the body.
I AM TUROK!!
You should read the comics if you haven’t. Valiant’s Dinosaur Hunter is my personal favorite iteration. This movie is based off of the original Son of Stone line from Dell.
By the way, it’s *Andar not Andor.
Thanks big homie ill check it out! And thanks lol
Note, that Chucklenuts became a cannibal as the British gave him their food, one of the cliff people.
i'm not sure he's all that bothered by it
I died when he said that Ankylosaurus fighting with its tail club was inaccurate
it's more rather the way its shown it most media, with spins and far reaching arcs. I should have been more clear about that.
@SaurLoser Ah, okay
I'm greatly disappointed that they never had Turok yell "I AM TUROK!!! in the movie. The writers had one job!
Dimetrodon was the only one you pronounced right!!
there's no way it's the only one lol!
7:48 be interested to see on how you do that one considering almost all the creatures there are the evolved descendants of prehistoric dinosaurs and creatures 7:49
Its gonna be a LOT of conjucture but im going to try and back it with evidence and comparisons
If you liked Turok riding a Carnotaurs, Try the 80s series Dino-Riders
Thanks man ill check it out

Hello, 00s Zoomers? 80s Millennial old enough to be your mom here. I need you to stop being old enough to drink so I can continue living in denial about my age.

I hope you did the turok 2008 game next
We need turok in Mk1
Phorusrhacos wasn’t exactly 8 feet tall, it was more around 5-6 feet tall, and had a much rounder beak. The size and description is more similar to Kelenken and Titanis with a more square beak and larger size.
Bet
Do Turok 2008 my favorite Dino game
Do it do it now
You know I want it🦍🦖
Its cookin in the oven, coming soon 👀
Can you do Dino Dan in your next video?
are you talking about the kids show?
@@SaurLoser yes
@ Dinotopia episode 2 is next, but I will gladly add it to the list of reviews!
Thank you for Correctly stating CarnoTaurus Means Meat Bull. It is rather annoying when people through in eating, There is no Vore in the name
Ohhhh my poor internet brain shudders at that word
do the review on the game 2 G
of course you like jp3
Please do the Turok game good sir
I love this channel, in all honesty. You’ve got a lot of charisma, you’re funny, and you seem very knowledgeable about the information you’re expositing
But my GAW brother. The pronunciations.
“Ankey-low-saurus” instead of ayn-kylo-saurus.
“True-dontids” instead of trow-uh-dontids.
Is it an inside joke I’m just missing? If so, my bad.
But maybe lookup the agreed upon pronunciations for species and taxons, before u just wing it bubba.
You seem very intelligent and you know your stuff…but it’s gonna only hurt your credibility, if you’re wildly mispronouncing basic species and genus names.
Besides that? Subscribed. Liked. Good job 👏
I just have a hard time with pronunciations, like even if I practice it a bunch it still comes out wrong but I'm working on it. Thank you for your kind words I appreciate it!
honestly this comment really motivates me to be more accurate and try harder. thank you for your criticism!
🤔 Natives, Americans, British, War..... Fine! I'll take this as a sign to buy AC 3, 😢 if only it had dinos
New
You mispronounced Ankylosaurus again. It’s actually pronounced “YOOP-lo-CEPH-a-liss”
Ad a Brit….. 😂😂😂😂😂 That most definitely a British child 😂
lol it's low hanging fruit but I gotta reach for it
@ 😂 Nah bruh. It’s true 😂
This isn't dinotopia
