More than likely, they'll do what they did with this game. Take most of the classic and final bosses and revamp them as main stage bosses. Magician, Emperor, World, Wheel of Fate, and then The Devil for last.
i always found it odd, like moments at 37:40. you've got a horde reaching for your legs, but these big guys above say 'no, you all stop, it's our turn.'
So, the zombies are apparently capable of forming into a large undead tower to try and kill the heroes, but then disperse immediately after it's been grounded. Seems legit.
That ending after the credit may be the game's good ending. It's because the player got a S-rank score. Congratulations, you found the Good Ending of this game and recorded on video.

And I find it interesting that Curien (to try and cure his son), Goldman (to save nature) and Thornheart (to evolve humans?) had their own reasons for their research. edit: So now the chronological order of the games (main series) is HOTD: Overkill > HOTD > HOTD 2 > HOTD 4 > HOTD 4: Special > HOTD: Scarlet Dawn > HOTD 3. How can they continue/conclude the series? edit 2: finally got to play it at my local Dave & Buster's (Hanover, MD). Ended up with a B+ grade at the end; didn't have the option to choose master mode.
Maybe set somewhere after 2019 (HOTD 3) where the agents will fight Thornheart to finish this once and for all. And perhaps The Devil will be the final boss.

Corpses are disappeared quickly to reserve some computing resources. It is state-of-the-art of Unreal Engine, I assumed. Thus, no more shoot-at-corpse score farming as in HOTD4. Waiting to play it in Bangkok, Thailand.

How many outbreaks have there been in this universe and none of those people at the party had a gun? I wouldn't even check the mailbox without a shotgun let alone go to a giant creepy Gothic castle! And great playthrough, very impressive.
So far, a total of 5 major outbreaks, 6 if you count Overkill (though that game is non-canon), and 1 that I might say more of an search rather than an outbreak Outbreaks: Bayou City Outbreak (1991, Overkill) Curien Mansion Incident (1998, HotD1) Goldman Incident (2000, HotD2) 2003 Goldman Incident (2003, HotD4) Scarecrow Mansion Incident (2006/This game) Woodside City Outbreak (????, Zombie Revenge) The other one is the EFI Building Incident (2019, HotD3), and like I said, it's more of an search rather than an outbreak.
First of all, thanks to Shougo Sasaki for uploading their entire gameplay. As for the game...it's so nice to see two returning bosses! Good to see Kate make a return with a better look. I like the direct references to previous characters like Curien and Goldman. The new option to buy-out more powerful secondary guns is a nice touch that encourages players to perform better. Glad they brought back civilians too. Some of the new zombie designs are quite creepy this time, especially the "female" ones. I'm in love with the interior design to Thornheart's quarters, especially with the various stained-glass windows, giving it a gothic church feel. It's almost as if the entire setting is a giant funeral home :). Funny reference at 53:25 from HOTD 2, when James says "It's like they're letting us in!" Is the last boss the biggest one to date?
Glad they made a new one and it looks not bad. I will go for 9/10 for first 3 chapters and 4/10 for last one. Moon is the most bad-ass looking boss through out hotd in my opinion, yet the weakest one, looks even simpler compare to the world... Its life bar went down so quick that I thought it might have second life form like the world or it might regain the health like the wheel of fate, but neither, and the battle ends right before the life bar went to zero

I'm a little confused about where this game fits into the overall series plot. HOTD3 said human society collapsed, right? I thought that was due to nukes at the end of HOTD4, but weren't those nukes stopped? This game certainly implies they were. So what happened to the world before HOTD3!? Also, just where exactly is the Moon fight happening? You were in a church type building and suddenly you're in the middle of a very shallow ocean?
You forgot one thing: HotD4 takes place in 2003. Scarlet Dawn takes place in 2006. There's 13 years before HotD3 that means that the world collapse will happen during the 13 year time frame

Back in my day we did this with a 6 bullet mag and was able to defeat Black Manta with a hallebard, Shelob, Manbat and the Dark Magician.
Don't forget house of the dead 2. Simple pistols to beat everything, including magician again.

The bridge in Hangedman's stage is HotD classic route select. If you don't shoot it, you got some extra corridors with more enemies = more points

Nothing will ever beat House of the Dead 2; I still find that little flying demon and the fish boss disturbing as fuck for some reason.
