Hi guys,
The promised crochet case tutorial is finally here XD
In this video, I'm accompanied by my lovely grandma! She will be the one showing how to make the case and I will narrate for her since I'm not very familiar with crochet.
Hopefully, you guys can understand the steps and please excuse me for this weird teaching style :')

Fluffy Yarn Case (she used "mole yarn" from Daiso)
Leave 130cm for a tail
1:48 Magic Circle, 7 sc (then pull tight!) [7 sts]
3:12 Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch [14 sts]
4:36 Round 3: 1 sc in the first stitch, 2 sc in next stitch. Repeat [21 sts]
6:16 Round 4: 1 sc around [21 sts]
7:37 Round 5: 1 sl st around [21 sts]
10:23 Finishing Touches: Threading a border
Tail
13:44 A Prostate Exam: insert through the middle and pull your tail out (not completely! her grandma tied a slipknot as an anchor on the inside of the case, your yarn will double up)
14:06 Twist the yarn 2x

Crochet Hook Size: 2.25
18:22 Magic Circle, 6 sc (pull tight) [6 sts]
19:06 Round 2: 1 sc for the first 2 stitches, then 2 sc in the next [9 sts]
19:54 Round 3: 1 sc for the first 3 stitches, then 2 sc in the next [12 sts]
20:47 Round 4: 1 sc for the first 4 stitches, then 2 sc in the next [15 sts]
21:46 Round 5: 1 sc for the first 4 stitches, then 2 sc in the next [18 sts]
22:42 Round 6: 1 sc around [18 sts]
23:30 Round 7: 1 sc around [18 sts]
To finish, do a slip stitch and then fasten off. Leave yarn to sew the ears on!

I made the body out of Premier Yarn Parfait with a 5.0mm hook, I added an extra round so that it covers a bit past the sides and into the corners of my Tama Meets. I also tightened the decorative whip stitch border and it made a more snug hold overall. Turned out perfect ✨💕
LOVE this! I think it is awesome that you two made this video together! Your grandma seems like the sweetest. I know nothing about crocheting, but I've always wanted to learn. Once I find the time, I will definitely come back to this vid!

A good yarn that I know of that looks like the fluffier yarn and works well with a 6 mm hook, in the US, is Bernat Baby Blanket yarn. Similar in color as well to the one used for the case being made.
Great video, I was always trying to figure out how to end my cases in that way and thought it was a crab stitch of some kind! Never turned out the way I liked though lol

Question: can you still connect your Tamagotchi Meets to the phone app/other tamagotchis even though the case is covering the infrared sensor at the top?
meets / on actually use bluetooth not infrared such as the P's and IDL. i can confirm it does work while using a case.
