Whoa Nelley, 1973 and it could be over for thee. My parents had a 1972 Fury. They bought it new and only had it a short time (through about 1974). My mom accidentally chipped the flywheel by starting it when it was running (a feat not possible on most new vehicles now), so they sold it and bought a 1974 Charger. The Fury was probably code T8 Chestnut exterior paint and I vaguely remember it. The Charger was code G8 Deep Sherwood and we sold that in 1979 to buy a Pontiac Phoenix (Nova look alike) during the 2nd gas crisis. We sold that in 1980 to buy the Pontiac Trans Am turbo 301 that I own today. The "H" in the price class (High) should denote the Fury III moniker.
We got the VIN, we win: P for Plymouth Fury, H for High price class, 23 for two door hardtop, K for 360 V8 with two barrel, 3 for 1973 model year, D for Belvedere, IL assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Belvedere, IL plant operated from July 1965 until February 2023 and is currently permanently idled and will likely permanently close.
No tag, can't brag, but somewhat easy to figure out, no doubt: E57 for 360 V8 with two-barrel, possible D32 or D34 for Torqueflite automatic transmission, F6 for Green interior, PH23 for Plymouth (P) Fury III (H) two door hardtop (23), F1 for Mist Green exterior paint, among other codes. I believe tilt wheel cars had a separate lever like a GM did in those years. It's missing the "FURY" back up light lens in the middle.
Whoa Nelley, MOPAR not going very far. Pentastar was quite a car. 360 and doesn't have to go. Mist Green still looks mean. Torqueflite doesn't have to be out of sight. Maybe not flat and that doesn't have to be that. Body code 23 and it's for me. Fury means "mad" and if this one is cubed, many will be sad. Please don't get squished or a lot of people here, including Benny and yes to a degree the Google Man are going to be pissed.

@@libertysgarage8411 Indeed. I couldn't make a deal on the 1981. We were about $500 apart and although it was a nice car, I knew what it was worth. He supposedly sold it for $5k more than we were in the ballpark for. Let that guy be upside down in it, I won't be--and I have NOS a lot of the parts it would have needed.

Im partial to the 73's as my friends Mom had a light green 4 door low miles fury 3 given to her in 1988. I was 16 and got to drive that car many times until she passed away and it was sold for only $150 at her estate sale. It was ugly but held many fun memories for me going places. Her kids fondly called it "Booger" LOL. I was so sad nobody gave me a chance to buy it.

When I was in high school drivers education I learned to drive in a 1972 fury three. That was one fine car it was so smooth riding and the a/c was so cold you could hang meat in the car. It was the same color as this one and it was brand new then. I hope someone saves this one they are so comfortable especially on the highway.

I like it. I owned one just like it. The downside was the yacht-like handling. That does not work well in a northern Canadian city where it’s winter for 6 months of the year. I crashed into a hard packed snow bank because I couldn’t stop or corner with any reasonable response. You would be surprised how badly snow can destroy the front end of a stout car. They do look cool though.
