      @CodeLeeCarter 7 ปีที่แล้ว +61

      If you don't understand the act, then one can only conclude you are lacking in empathy and maybe moral ethics. I suppose it's all down to how you've been brought up and Whether you've the ability to show some respect for another human being.
      P.S
      Or you are just being a Troll, in which case, you lack everything!

      alex wintermeyer ... Ask anyone who has ever felt better, even for a moment, because of a word or gesture from another (i.e., 'helping')
      Sadly, this is news because this kind of thing, while quite common in the past, has become incredibly rare. And also because it might teach just one person how signs of respect can be uplifting.

My sister and I were driving in it, and multiple people on the sidewalk stopped, doffed their hats, stood at attention and saluted when they saw it was the burial of a vet (flags on the hearse gave it away). Thank you Colonel Usrey!!
      The respect, dignity & gratitude & plain old decency of bygone generations. This respect was strongest on our WWII veterans generations. Look at the numbers of those veterans who continue to pay their respects at War Memorials to the day they die. And come back to have their ashes scattered with their brothers in uniforms. Evidence is at the Pearl Harbor memorial. Each year the numbers of remaining veterans goes down. But the families still return in respect to the fallen. It is the greatest generation of Americans to date. We the children of these WWI, & WW11 veterans, baby boomers and all were taught the respect and traditions. The traditions seem to have faded as the 1990's moved forward. Lots of the younger generations born after the late 1980's to 1990's have lost the values, respect that were ingrained into the spirit & souls of Americans! Proud Americans.... Save the heart & soul of our America!! 🙏🙏✌✌👏👏

    As a police officer in he UK we were instructed that whilst on duty and in full uniform if a hearse was to pass we would also stand at the kerbside turn and salute that hearse whilst it passed. as a mark of respect. That was as a mark of respect for a member of the society that I was sworn in to protect. My society, my public, home town. I don't see that anymore but then I don't see uniformed officers patrolling the streets. do you.

    The fact that something like this stands out nowadays is pretty sad. Growing up it was normal that everyone stopped and pulled over when a funeral procession was going by. Nobody, and I mean nobody, interfered with one out of respect for those who lost a loved one.

      Are you living under a rock? People still do that. People never stood out in the rain saluting them.

      Crypto Database that’s not it all what happened in the video. Somebody pulled over and got out of their car and saluted in the pouring rain lol what are you talking about? There’s plenty of stuff people do nowadays that are good that people didn’t do 50 years ago. But we don’t discriminate against black people anymore that is not always happen. So don’t say something stupid watch the video then don’t pretend like people now or worse than people 3040 or 50 years ago because that’s not the case.

    Growing up in Mississippi this was the norm for us. No matter if we were walking or in a car, we would stop, pull over and give reverence to the family.
    Seeing this man do this gives me hope that our humanity is not lost. Bless his heart and life always.

    This guy is awesome. And, by "awesome", I mean I am in awe of his commitment, respect, dedication and actual concern and interest in his fellow people. If only people would spend 10 minutes a day to help a Vet, an elderly person or give a kid some wisdom, the US might be a bit different. The best Xmas I ever had was helping a family, with a disabled child, change a flat tire in an ice storm. It doesn't take a lot to mean the world to someone, and the recent "deal" with the NFL is a joke. The only reason those GED idiots can make millions playing a high school game, "protesting" and kneeling is due to a man like the guy in this clip.
