The Shadowscales, the Dark Brotherhood, the Morag Tong, the Blades; it is interesting that for factions founded upon ideas & pantheons of change, deception, and near-indiscriminate killing, it is ironic that these factions were among those that suffered the most following the Oblivion Crisis. "Live by the sword, die by the sword" I guess.
Also, for being called "Shadowscales", these Argonians don't seem all that _Shadow_ - _scaly_ as one would expect.
They have been dissolved because they did a crap job and they should have seen these threats coming.
The shadowscales have always intrigued me. They remind me a lot of the assassin's Creed brotherhood. The Morag tong too.
I don't see why the Black Marsh tribes of the Argonians wouldn't want to keep Shadowscale assassins at home as elite special forces and spies.
Because can't have smart sneaky bad man wah wah people in games everything has to be 100% child friendly and other crap. Look what they did to Fett someone who is supposed to be an evil villain in book of boba fett. I choose to think they went underground in BM than truly disband as the hist would never give up their elite forces that protect them and their people.
@@Aptonoth yes but we are here with the elder scrolls and not disney. Every major part of the lore involved for example torture. Tho i agree that its a shame what they did to boba

Hey Imperial, I have a good question. Can a Daedric Prince be killed? If I somehow killed Mehrunes Dagon, what will happen? Will nothing happen or will I absorb his power thus making me the next Prince of Destruction, what do you think?
That's what happened with jygalag. I think there's no way of knowing if there will always be the same result.
Jyggalag gave the mantle of Sheogorath to the Hero of Kvatch. So the entity that existed as Jyggalag and Sheogorath is still alive, but now the entity you play as in Oblivion exists as Sheogorath. I don’t think daedric princes can be killed, since then why would the other princes curse Jyggalag and not kill him?

The princes can theoretically be destroyed if im correct. But I am not really the right person to ask as my expertise isnt in that part of the lore haha.

Oh this makes no sense to me. How do you truly "wipe out" the shadowscales? In the Murkmire DLC we learn that being linked to a hist tree allows you to be reincarnated as long as the tree is alive. If they die they just go into the amber dream sleep and re-incarnate they split the eggs up between those reincarnating and those who are newborns and the hist makes this distinction. It's literally impossible to "wipe out" the Shadowscales now that we know this. You would have to wipe out every hist tree in existence with a link to the Shadowscales in BM at the same time track down EVERY member who is still alive and kill them before they can link back up with a new hist tree. Know what happened to the last time someone tried that it was called Mehrunes Dagon and his realm got invaded... if a deadric prince can't do it your telling me that some regular joe shmoes will?
I choose to ignore this anti-argonian fanfic tier lore against them lol and most do as well.
Beeing reincarnated doesn't mean you have your memories and are exactly the same Person you were last time
If that was true then they wouldn't even have had the shadowscales facilities in the first place, there wouldn't be a single stupid argonian since they'd all have literal millennia of training in almost everything by that logic
