- Welcome back to another episode of Skypothesis: Vanilla Skyrim Character Builds! While these are 100% unmodded builds, we use a few visual mods to improve the video / storytelling. (Natural View Tamriel ENB / Equipped Favorited Items, Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, Skyrim Together, etc)
This week we are SUPER stoked to share with y'all the Saxhleel Vagabond! This lizard is a master of ambush, and explodes from the shadows ensuing chaos. We LOVE the brutal unarmed killcams, and thought they paired very well with the epic exploding bolts from the crossbow. Hope you enjoy! We'll see you next week for the SEASON 3 FINALE!

I forget what gauntlets I used, but try the Ancient Nord boots with the Dragonbone chest piece. I think I used the Dawnguard heavy gauntlets with it but I don't remember cause this was my first PC playthrough a few years ago. I think the Dawnguard helmet would look good with that combo to but you can't enchant it if memory serves so its not the best choice.
Edit: Although I don't know how good it'll look on female characters because unfortunately the boots use a different model for them.

Try combining penitus oculatus armor with nightingale armor or shrouded armor
As simple as it is, I like the idea of shooting a crossbow bolt from a dark corner of a room and following it up with whirlwind sprints and a knockout punch.
Oh it’s sooo fun yo. The ambush-centered playstyle is so satisfying it’s insane
Season 3 is definitely owned by the assassins! It says a lot that you've all managed to make the Desert Magician, Imperial Specter, and the Sahxleel Vagabond all completely different and unique despite sharing some similarities. Gotta say the Desert Magician is my fave though and I've even managed to combine him with some builds like the Stylite Storm for a more compact playthrough!
So true! We honestly didn’t notice all the assassins when we planned the season, it just kinda happened hahaha. Glad you’re diggin’ the Magician!:)
I told myself that I will play your newest build, I cannot wait to jump in. I know that these builds are vanilla but i will use animated armory with this build that adds claw weapons, they will fit into the brutal nature of this guy. Thank you for an amazing build guys.

Argonians, crossbows, explosions what's not to love? I really liked the rough look of this armor combo, it truly conveyed the background of the character.

explosive bolts were my second guess xd. I wanted to make a crossbow build some time and I read somewhere about a year ago that the 2nd tier of two handed swords is broken and also affects the critical hits of the explosion of crossbows, which would make this build just a bit more deadly. As he is an argonian I think a hist inspired supermove similar to the storm stylite would fit well. Obviously you need to drink the hist sap first to make you able to endure a difficult fight, then you drink a fortify archery potion, which increase all physical damage including unarmed. This way the hosts will make you more than suited for most challenges you gonna face. Anyway I really like this build and especially the aesthetics are on point. It’s a very unique but well fitting combination.

As for future plans, more Skyrim build seasons (for sure), some Fallout content, and hopefully Starfield stuff it that ever gets released this decade lol. And OF COURSE Elder Scrolls 6, but... that’s gonna be like 25 years from now lol

I've always wanted another Argonian Build!
They're my favourite race for sure, and this build definitely does them justice. But I don't expect you guys will ever deliver a bad build.
Also the Ancient Shrouded Cowl is glitched with Argonians, and doesn't show up, and instead just removes the horns of them, making them look weird. It's also glitched because you can equip the Ancient Shrouded Cowl alongside the normal Shrouded Cowl (which does appear normally) for double the bonus. I'm assuming this didn't occur to you because you use the USSEP, but just wanted to let you know since these are Vanilla Builds after all.
Wow, had no idea about that glitch! Super cool stuff! We build them on PC with the patch, but when we do actual playthroughs it’s usually on switch. Makes sense that we wouldn’t know about it!

I always LOVE a good shadowscale! It’s my favorite type of Argonian and my favorite build to use for the Dark Brotherhood! Once again you make a unique spin! I never thought of a Shadowscale using unarmed combat!

That is a dope killcam, breaking the people's back from behind. I've seen it in videos and made a sneaky unarmed character, but I've never done it. All I get is suplex. I also LOVE your channel. My dad and I found it and have watched every episode as it comes out.
My favorite build so far. Argonians are already my favorite race, this combined with the awesome backstory and equipment makes this a perfect character for me, definitely gonna try it out.

This is really fun to play, far more so than I expected! I have avoided "assassin" type builds in the past as the playstyle didn't really appeal to me, but this is my favorite build right now. Only level 25 or so, so I do still have some leveling to do before it's "complete" but such a cool idea :)

Just finished a platinum play through using your Relic Hunter build and loved it, and have enjoyed seeing all the other builds you guys have created so far! Are you gonna stick solely to Skyrim content? I would be really interested to see what kind of builds and stories you could make in other elder scrolls or even fallout games, but either way keep up the amazing work y’all are crushing it! 👍🏻
Oh heck yeah!! Hope the playthrough was a blast! She’s super fun bc it’s easy to roleplay going everywhere in the game.
We will definitely focus on Skyrim for now, but we have Fallout plans, and really want to hit it hard with Starfield when it comes out :)

@@Skypothesis When you are a vampire, or a Vampire Lord (is better) when you equip a ebony shield or lame shield this one is equip but invisible. You can block and use all perk of Block except magic and arrow protection because the game need « a texture of shield ».
Very fun with run + block for throw people barehand.
This glitch appear also with thieves hood.
I will soon try if this glitch is ok with hybrid (werewolf + Vampire Lord) for delete the weakness of sun of vampire.
Just the glitch of invisible shield intereste me, not the fact of become a vampire or a werewolf in my run game unarmed.

Thanks so much, yo! We use Natural View Tamriel ENB, and equipped favorites items. ENBs always take a hit to performance without a beefy PC, but most others don’t!

This build looks so COOL ! The combination of Morag Tong armor and vampire boots made a very dirty travaler looking. Plus all the dark assassin abilites you give him without even perk illusion or alchemy but just use standing stone, powers and racial abilities, that's absolute genius ! He his a perfect rival for The Desert Wind Exile.
He remind me one of my old playtrought in Skyrim, i played a very similar character based on crossbow and elemental bolts, but it was a Morag Tong dunmer assassin and a very lawful character who use the ebony blade instead of unarmed build.
I can't wait to see what you have for the final of the season, if the werewolf you planed is badass like the Daedric Warchief it's gonna be gorgious !

I just noticed i indicated the wrong time for the Ghost of Atmora.
He his actually at 4:04 when the Vagabond swin in the lake close to Riften ^^
As much as my inner optimizer screams at one heavy piece among light ones, the drip has been delivered as per usual.
I did have a question tho. I know you dont do modded builds, but have you considered doing some sort of "special edition" of select builds, basically turning them into modded versions of themselves. Some of them would be even more amazing when modded (like the Saxheel using explosive oils ans explosive barrels from Ordinator mod).
We haven’t much thought of that but that’s a cool idea!
And the reason for the heavy armor gauntlets is solely for the “Fists of Steel” perk for extra unarmed:)

(By the by, you recall my ideas for hypothetical Fallout ideas? Well, this one is more....basic, I’ll admit. Think a character inspired by the TF2 Spy. Really sneaky bastard with pistols and knives, is extremely smug and downright insulting towards most people, yet is surprisingly charming, especially towards people he decides would be his lover)

Could actually take inspiration from just about any of the TF2 cast, now that I think about it. (Sniper’s my favorite.)
Spy happens to be the most interesting to try and emulate, and it just so happens there’s a lot he can actually do in the Fallout games. Hell, there’s a actual Pip-Boy in TF2 as a cosmetic item.
I will say this, though. If it’s in Fallout 4, for maximum effort, have him infiltrate a faction, only to later betray them. “I never really was on your side.” and all. Brotherhood, perhaps?
Guys if you need some inspiration, put a character in saviors hide. Then give it any of the mage hoods, unenchanted can be bought at solitudes clothing shop. Combined with the steel plated armor leggings and gloves you get a true noble warrior feeling. Might be an exploit that lets you wear two headgears at the same time. I would suggest a headband with the hood.

A really evil necromancer instead of a good one like tha auramancer and uses the staff of corruption to give people nightmares lol

4:03 i only now noticed that you can see the ghost of atmora in the background
I liked playing this build as a khajiit and using enchanted alchemy gear to make the fortify marksman + health regen potions from the wood orc to boost my health regen in lieu of histskin and also my unarmed/bow damage.
Probably my fav so far along with the magician and volkihar knight! I always have issues with character creation and how to make them look, I’m just never happy with it, what would you suggest?

And totally feel that! We honestly just use the presets and change a few things about them to make them unique. We recently found a channel called Grace Foley who does vanilla Skyrim faces. Pretty sure there’s a famous TH-camr with that name too, so be sure to add “Skyrim face” to the search or something like that

I'd love to try this but I wouldn't know where to start quest wise or how to go about doing what quest when.
We’re gonna do a better job in the future of showcasing quest order and stuff, hopefully that will help!
First thing first, oddly enough the Morag Tong armor is actually somehow WORSE than the standard light Chitin armor by a armor rate of -4 and an additional pound. You'd think the Morag Tong armor would be the same as the light Chitin armor or somewhere between the light and heavy Chitin armors. It's weird right? I mean the only reason for this I could find is that the Morag Tong armor is a "reference" to the Netch Leather armor back in Morrowind before it became a CC Content Addon or mod.
Secondly, and this is a personal preference, I'd switch the Ancient Nord gauntlets with the heavy Chitin gauntlets. Love the additional claws the gauntlets give and would fit perfectly for this type of character who often tends to brawl when in melee combat. Think of them as an extension to your own claws. I could also advise to switch the boots for Chitin but that's entirely up to the player given how there's only a minimal difference between the two boots.
Yeah it’s so wild that that is the case! We chose Morag Tong armor because the color scheme is darker and matches better though. The Chitin gauntlets would be sick!! The claws they have would look amazing, that’s an awesome idea. May have to use that in the future!!
Personally I chose to use the chitin heavy gauntlets because of how it looks like claws
I love the aesthetics of the character and I wanted to ask can you play this character build on legendary difficulty?
Thanks!! We balance each build for Adept, but this one could probably do okay on legendary! Might go through more bolts haha

Where do you find the morag tong armor? I've seen it in the game when using mods but never in the real game.
In the Dragonborn DLC you have to do two quests: "march of the dead" and "the final descent", then return to Raven Rock and speak with Adril Arano. He thinks someone is trying to kill the councilor of Raven Rock and asks you to search the town for clues of Hlaalu presence, this is a new quest "Served Cold" which will guide you to the Morag Tong hide in Ashfallow Citadel and you will be abble to kill a Morag Tong agent and loot the armor and him.

That was an oversight on our part! You will need those perks! We recommend swapping out perks in sneak for those:)

At what point makes sense leave the main story for role playing? to me it makes no sense for thieves/assassin to become dragonborn

@@Skypothesis It's called the Ash Scale. An argonian battle mage. He was raised by dark elves that trained him in the arcane arts. He wears the light Chitin armor and boots, heavy Chitin gauntlets, and an adept hood. He specializes in destruction, alteration, light armor, enchanting, heavy armor, and restoration. He's uses no weapons other then magic and unarmed. Feel free to add or change anything that you think should.
