Really helpful guide. I was able to pull on the pedals to get enough space to remove master cylinder. My car has done 80000 miles. Symptoms were sometimes not going into gear and not able to change into neutral. I dislodged the clutch sensor and that caused me an additional headache with limited space. Very happy as had feared it might have been the clutch.
Thanks for an excellent vidio. Saved me Hours in a job that should not be that awkward!. Now I need an extra arm with 2 extra elbows to get the bolt on the master cylinder back in!!!!! Thanks again
Good vid,, saved us a lot of time thanks,, just have to watch the clutch pedal sensor doesn't slip off the pedal when you disconnect the slave push rod
You are very welcome, I am glad you found my video helpful 😀 Yes you do have to watch out for that but it can be replaced easily even if it moves out of position.
Interesting, If there is like you say you don't need to remove those ones to get this job done but if you have to remove the plastic cover inside for brake servo removal then it's good to know 😉
I prefer to make life as easy as possible for myself and to make sure everything is free to be removed without being damaged. That's just the I work. 😉
@@nickthemechanicen8 fair enough I've done a couple of them and that how I've always done it because I found you can hit problems when you disturb thing that don't need to be disturb. But each mechanic does it different
Hi its hard to put my Zafira B in 1st gear sometimes at lights it refuses to go in. Do you think a new clutch master cylinder will solve this? I also get noise sometimes when I press the clutch pedal while driving. Gearbox was rebuilt 6 months ago with new oil . I also have a new clutch kit, slave and dual mass Flywheel? Thx

So more force is needed to pull on the huge plastic bit to release the master? I will give it a try

Happy to help ☺️
FYI there are two more bolts under the scuttle panel behind the wipers.

Just to let you know you only need to undo the torx bolts and pray it out to get the plastic panel out enough to get the master cylinder out

Hi Joe,
In my experience because a new clutch was installed you have to adjust the clutch pedal accordingly so it is in sync with the new clutch.
