As I remember, I got mine around 1982 or 1983 at it was serial no. 1894? Might be wrong. I carried it as a backup in an ankle holster. I sent it away to have it Nitex'd. Worst thing I EVER did was selling it a few years later. A superb combat pistol.
You're absolutely correct they are fantastic pistols. My husband and I are collectors of German manufactured firearms. We hope to one day purchase a HK P7 M13. It's a fantastic pistol, classy looking, German engineering and craftsmanship. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Me too! I bought mine (Blued version) in 1994. Its still in like new condition with nary a wear mark or scratch even tho I shoot it, but that's because I baby it, dont carry it, and am very careful with it at the range. Always put down a clean microfiber cloth to rest the pistol on. It saves scratches. I did used to use it to renew my CHL License. Always got a lot of looks and questions from other shooters but the range masters did not like it for some reason.

Got one new in Germany late 1983. Still have the original box with proof target. Cost me $441.40
