- Students share their perspectives on life at Harvard Law School, the caliber and diversity of its supportive community, the many benefits of the school’s Zero-L, mentorship, and clinical programs, and the role financial aid plays in making an HLS education possible for so many.
As someone who isn’t even close to applying to Harvard yet, going there and becoming a lawyer to finally accomplish my dreams and everything I’ve been working towards is definitely something I am working so hard towards, I really hope In sha Allah in a few years I’ll come back to this comment and say I made it.
I really hope we make it! That would be so cool. I’m veryyy long from applying to here but let’s hope
@@NaNaydo freshman in high school and dreamings probably as far as I'm gonna get but there's nothing wrong with trying!

I hope you make it brother, Inshallah.
It's just not about going there,it's all about standing on top of your class and leaving a unique legacy which every individual is free enough to use for the benefit of both the student and what/who is around him/her

Harvard Law School is probably the greatest law school for every future law student who wants to go to Harvard Law!
Harvard's a place everyone can dream of and hardly anyone get hands on.
I wish I could breathe in for just one day at HLS as a student. 😔
you can do it. just believe.
I'm a Law student by myself.
School of Law, Harvard University is the World's Best School & University.
I miss those days! I am happy too see new faces over these lovely people!
🥳🎉🎊 Congratulations to all the newly accepted 1Ls. Harvard Law school is really the best law school I’ve always wanted to visit and I did visit in which I didn’t want to leave for all the good reasons. I will never forget the moment I thanked God for allowing me to be able to visit the wonderful campus and environment. I walked across the campus to admire the beautiful grass, the beautiful buildings, scenery of legal minds who love law just as much as I do. I sat in the red chair I always saw in the Harvard TH-cam, and TH-camrs videos. I touched the brick walls and the “statue of three lies” Nick name for the John Harvard statue.
I imagining myself as a 1L conversing with the current 1Ls about the elements of the governing laws and material facts, and how the law can be use to resolve problems within our surrounding communities to make a good difference. I was a super legal minded hero in my mind. Visiting is definitely one of my best vacations. And I am probably the oldest guy who watches the Harvard Law school TH-cam channel, and who still do dream to go to my dream law school. Although I have a learning disability, and I love law, my dream just want go away. But what can I say, a man can dream can he! Thanks for sharing these wonderful memories! 👍🏾
I use to feel like that when I was surrounded by ethical law abiding moral administration of justice instructors in my community college in college he 90s. You just feel the mutual respect and support and trust.
Well, it isn’t the best, but…
This is so sweet 🤍
I am dreaming about it everyday including this moment
Me too! All my life I’ve wanted to go to Harvard☺️
Do not dream , have goals , plan , do
Don’t go to this school. This is the worst decision you’ll make in your life.
“The caliber of the students…..” bitch…. YOU WALK BY SMARTER PEOPLE EVERY DAY!!!! On the street!!!! WOW. SMFH. Y’all are literally paying to get a piece of paper. Y’all that afraid to go to a library? What’s the draw for a school THIS CRAZY? The professors suck. Literally suck.
You'll make it
I'm from Nigeria, Africa and I want to do my LL.M in this prestigious University. I wish I could get someone that'll coach and guide me through the application process.
I've always loved Harvard and I really can't wait to get in and build upon its sterling reputation.
How will it help you?

How studying in Harvard will help me? It'll give me wings to fly, it'll give me the hands-on skills and leadership experiences needed, and with the network of alumni all over the world, I have a lot to leverage to help build the Nigeria of my dreams.

Even i live in bangalore, which law college you in
The problem is that I would never ever be able to be in Harvard...living in Iran's like the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone...Good for those who are in the law school :'(

Pray. Let God hear your prayer. The Great One makes all things possible for his beloved.
I'd die for this, if at all God listens to my prayers 😢, im working hard to het in to this prestigious university
You can absolutely do it. All things are possible with God.
I am a Chaplain in the Air Force right now, about to take the LSAT in Nov with hopes of getting into Harvard for law. I believe all things are possible!
I had an instructor in community college AOJ classes that said he went to Harvard.
I have always wanted to study Law in Harvard, unfortunately I graduated with a CGPA of 3.7 which is below their average. I guess my dreams of attending here is almost impossible😓😓. I am preparing for the LSAT and I am not even finding it easy.
@btheb316 Not yet. I am retaking the LSAT so I haven't applied to any school yet
@@Cinta_92good luck!
Any law school will do provided there are good library facilities and good professors.
Not true in the slightest lol
@@SF-cq3lh Why do you say so?
@@baqirhemraj7639 because it’s objectively wrong. Check out the site, Law School Transparency, for example. The difference in median salaries between a school like Harvard and a school ranked near the bottom is immense: roughly $180,000 versus roughly $50,000.
That’s also only reflecting the medians, so it doesn’t capture the monumental number of people from those shitty law schools who were never able to pass the bar, let alone make it as practicing attorneys.
You also need to consider what you’d like to do with your J.D. If you’d like to work in big law, it’s virtually a known requirement that anything besides “respected” regional schools and top law schools precludes you from working at big law firms. As for federal clerkships, those are completely off the table for the vast majority of law schools (meaning the shitty ones).
If you’re happy to work at a small law firm or government building for the rest of your life, barely earning six-figures, then feel free to go to a low-ranked law school. If you’d like to do anything else, then you need to attend a respected law firm.
@@SF-cq3lh The question is how many students are able to get admission and about funding, it is out of reach of the majority of the potential students, similar to Oxford and Cambridge in the UK. According to me, the whole system is rotten in that only a few can benefit and the vast majority of students are being deprived of it. A law degree does not mean that a student wants to work in a law firm, there are many opportunities for work elsewhere.
@@baqirhemraj7639 yes, like public interest. Those jobs pay next to nothing, in comparison to how much your degree costs.
In the US, funding isn’t out of reach in the slightest-and not just because of student loan availability. It revolves around your GPA and LSAT. Check out LSAT Demon’s scholarship estimator.
I am planning to study at harvard
I'm going to Harvard I'm going to comeback when I get in Harvard 😁

My personal question. How one can avoid losing one’s passion intellectual after the end of course for lawyers ?
I am.from India ..how can I get to know more about Alumni Funds
Please inform how Harward studies are useful in other countries practice?
Same question
You should go to a law school in the country that you wish to practice in. It would be foolish to go to an American law school and then plan to practice elsewhere. If you wish to get an American education, you might be better off going for an MBA rather than a JD. A business degree is applicable everywhere and has potential to make you more money in the long run.
Love u all
It would be tempting if I had the money. Alas, I would not last one month because I would ask many weird questions. Such as how many students, professors, or alumni questioned the laws and the system themselves. Is caselaw (the idea of legal precedent) a good idea, given that no Judge or Jury is infallible? Does the system of settlements in Court promote Justice and prevents further harm? Etc. Etc.
I swear I wouldn’t last even a month. Everybody says that students are supposed to ask questions, but try to ask a teacher or a lawyer a question that has the potential of undermining their position and privileges or revealing holes in the system they’re part of and their moral deficiencies, and see how it goes. I’ll tell you- invariably it goes badly.
بالجنة ان شاء الله ❤🙁

You need to take LSAT and if you're an international student, you need to take TOEFL too. Then apply for HLS. You will get accepted based on your scores. Usually, an ideal score to get in ranges anywhere between 170-172 out of 180 maximum marks

It is inspiring to see these videos but living in a third-world country which seem to never develop, the Philippines, it makes me sad that only the rich and less than a handful will be able to have the opportunity to be in a diverse and enriching environment such as this. Majority of students in the country don’t even get to go to college due to extreme poverty.

@@BrigidSamhain yeah, it’s almost like they are incentivized to give you a bs answer or something like that. Did that really not occur to you?
Just to pull back the curtain for you, they are benefited even when shitty applicants apply, because they can reject them and thus appear more exclusive.
