thanks for showing the planet how you cook corn on the cob on a barbecue leaving just a layer or two of the husk on them before cooking the very best sweet corn i ever had was back in 1965 when my grandfather showed me the correct way of doing it! 🤷‍♂️🤔👍of coarse after it soaked in water for 2 days made it soft n delicious! 👍

Great video. I am surprised that you need to turn the ears. The water is boiling and the burlap cover would seem to keep the steam over all ears.

You made me want some of that corn so bad. Lol. I think it’s a great way to advertise your farm and to get your name out there. Plus it looks like a lot of fun especially with having the whole gang out there. Great to see Trevor again. Hopefully it’s a success financially since it’s very labor intensive. Looks like it was a hit with the event goer’s. Regards to all. God bless.

Cooking the corn, i dig the plate and burlap style. It reminds me strongly of how we cooked oysters back in the day. Dump 'em into a bucket after a tumble wash in a old half yard concrete mixer for three to five minutes. Dump the bucket out on the steel soaked burlap sacks over. Keep moist to steam cook for like ten or so minutes. Square nose shovel to flick them onto a table, begin shucking and eating.
Seeing the corn basically cooking the same way made me smile. As for cooking though, what if you had like a insulated cabinet that uou could load on racks cage trays. Each tray would be like one of those grill baskets for vegetables on the grill or campfire.
Oad a basket up with like twenty or so ears and close the lid, ide it into the top of the cabinet. Other trays already in get turned over if around until the very bottom one is pulled, emptied, refilled and back to the top of the cabinet. So you're always having at least a tray of twenty coming out for sale like every two minutes.

You are boiling and steaming corn not roasting corn. Roasting requires dry heat. The hot air evenly cooks the food. It's complete opposite of how you are cooking those corns.

awesome video as for the lights in the back of the truck not sure if they are real UV lights or just colored lights but UV light kills germs by producing electromagnetic energy that destroys the ability of microorganisms to reproduce and causes inactivation of microbes it helps reduce bacteria, fungi and viruses

Why don’t you make a cage to hold ears while roasting, easy to flip and you can prefill the cages ahead of time.

  • @cassowaryind

Divide your tub in half, start off cooking 50% of the tub, then at first turn, fill the second half, that way every 4 minutes thereafter you are taking corn off. You still cook the same volume but have corn ready at a max of 4 minutes from each batch. Also may work good to have 2 x iceboxes to put the different batches in, this will help control the hottest from the coldest rather than piling them all in together. Love your channel

Place row of cinder blocks on open side of fire with holes horizontal. Another row above that. More heat will be directed up, and fire has source of oxygen still.
