Note about Unused Tutorial room: It might be more correct to call this a "decommissioned" tutorial room, as it was a room specifically made for the GDC demo of the game that was showcased at GDC prior to the steam launch. In this demo, the player started in this small tutorial room to give a basic idea of item usage/combining, and then they were transported to the beginning of the refuge. The area played out basically how it does in the final game, but the GDC demo ends after putting the elevator button together and getting in the elevator with Lamplighter.
Regarding "Alternative Universes" - George (Head librarian, with the die head) has six unique personalities with custom dialogues that are randomized on new game. There's an Author's book in her bedroom touching on that.

While I consider most Felines to be simple-minded, easily angered creatures, I do have a small soft spot for Niko due to all every instance of them across their original clusterverse had to go through. They DO still succum the standard Feline stigma of "KILL EVERYTHING WITH FIRE", but to a lesser degree, as they really don't want to hurt anyone as it seems.
8:28 This is about George, the librarian. Every time you play the game, her face will show a different face of her die's head, correlating with a new personality. (1 is narcissistic, 2 is stressed and a little rude, 3 is depressed and anxious, 4 is overly optimistic, 5 is motherly and 6 uses outdated slang like "gnarly"). Going to the attic reveals a readable book from the author that directly references the different Georges and alternate universes, saying that "she" (most definitely George) was an avid believer of them. Edit: 9:35 yeah no, Niko remembers all the previous runs the player did in the solstice route, so it must be the same Niko each time.
regarding the author being dead, if I recall the author was last seen before "vanishing" near the barrens, or presumed to be around there, as he was assumedly doing research around that area. silver and george both say that the author hasn't been seen for a while so it's entirely possible that the suicide note in the cliffs area in the barrens was him, although it's also possible that it wasn't as with the author knowing the state of everything it seems more likely that he'd spend his final hours trying to solve the issues. on top of that, I can't tell if the friend calamus and alula refer to is the author as well, as in solstice it seems to be cedric, but perhaps in standard runs it was the author, as iirc they also claimed that he was missing for a while. it's possible that in solstice cedric sort of replaces the author. all this is just a bit of theory work though. so of course, it's just a theory. I personally believe Niko is the Author and it's a time loop story. Niko makes a game to research how things could be different, see how they could fix things. Niko plays the game, helping a past version of themselves through, creating the loop. The end of the "old world" would be caused by the final sun going out. Therefore the new and old worlds are one in the same. But in each loop, things happen slightly later, until a Niko was unable to go through the final run to continue the cycle That's where we come in. We take Niko's place as the Player, as the god of the new/old world. We are different. We think things differently. We give Niko a new perspective that couldn't be given to them by an older version of them. We aren't bound by the minimal time Niko would have. Through our efforts, something changes, like a butterfly effect, and the Niko of our playthrough is able to, as an adult, finally end this cycle, once and for all, finding a way to save the world, not as the Author, but as the true Messiah, born of knowledge once thought forbidden from entering their world, and of fragments of lives long past
Got some cool trivia from this which I must express my appreciation for. But admittedly, sometimes your sentences are just a bit too fast to really be understood. It's understandable though, since this is your first serious video as you said. But I do hope you can adjust your speech speed for the videos a little in the future.
I remember there's an ARG involving things like the star of david and the world niko coming from having a war with humans, and as a result, being very violent towards any they see except for niko, because they are just a child, and weren't told what they did

Niko escapes at the end but you can still reinstall the game to get Niko but this is a fresh install not a reset so Niko is truly gone and this is a new Niko and they all go to the village at the end hence why Niko has no dad and also why Niko thinks they look normal actually everyone is Niko and Niko's mama is elder Niko.

i deleted the real game files because i dont see the message that says there is more history. so i was bored in youtube and it recomended me videos of oneshot(here i discovered soltice) so i deleted the real save files because i dont even uknow theres was 1 fake and i dont uknow how because i deleted all and THE SOLTICE RUN WORKED
