Also, something interesting I thought you might appreciate (cuz it's the little things): when Hans Landa says "adieu" to the Jewish family before ordering his soldiers to shoot them through the door, that literally means, "goodbye" in French. But in the scene where Shoshanna escapes from under the floor, he says, "au revoir", which means, "I'll see you later". So when he meets her again at the restaurant, he knows exactly who she is. He also toys with her brutally, first ordering a glass of milk to remind her of the day he killed her whole family, then makes her eat cream on her strudel, which was made of pig fat at the time of the war, which Jews are not allowed to eat. He's brutal.
Great points. I totally got the milk scene. Thay got me laughing like “oh he knows it's you” vibe. Sick of all that dark humor. Hopefully i was able to entertain you. See you again around the channel? Thanks for the comment
@@CJmidnightreactions oh, absolutely! Hans Landa is a POLITE psychopath. He wasn't going to kill her in the restaurant in front of Joseph Goebbels (literally his title was: head of propaganda) because all of his evil is done behind closed doors, and he felt like she wasn't a threat. Remember, he thought of her as a rat: cringing and hiding in small spaces. He didn't even CONSIDER that she could play the long game, because she was a Jew, and she killed the friggin FÜRER!
The farmer knows he knows, but hopes by keeping calm, he will be able to somehow rescue the people he hides in his basement. But then comes that scene. When the farmer realizes all is lost. It breaks my heart every time. No screaming, no shouting, no fighting. Just that one, single, lonely tear rolling down his cheek. He is out of options and he knows it, and it breaks not only his heart, but everyone who watches this movie
Marcel is still technically alive, by the end of the movie. All he did was light the fire, but it didn't mean he stayed behind while the theater burned.
Inglorious Basterds is Django for Jewish people, it's an awesome movie. Tarantino is fantastic at making underdog alt-historical fiction, I fucking love it
Anachronism: The line "Paris when it sizzles", which is heard in the Churchill / mission briefing scene, is a reference to a line in the Cole Porter tune "I Love Paris" published in 1953.
Nah, this was DURING the war, man! Think about it: Germany had already occupied France! That's why he's in France, speaking, FRENCH, to a FRENCH guy, and it's crazy how he just asks "may I come in?" because they both know that's not even a question. It's a command.
Commenting as I watch. Dog was a poodle. The basement scene got pooched because of the captain doing the German 3 wrong with his hand. Brad’s Pitt Ariveadurchi might be the funniest thing to hear on your first time watch. It’s the equivalent of Paul walker saying “I said forget it cuz” it’s to be ashamed landa was powerful enough that he could double down on being a double spy. He knew no one would question what he was doing. Hence “the guy in the white smoking jacket” he said that and they knew to get Brad. He knew the nazis weren’t gonna say hey why are we doing this or what are you doing landa. Also hence why he was able to place the explosives right underneath hi1tler. Without anyone blinking a eye. And to double down on landa being a double agent , why was he so quick to place the dynamite under h1tlers seat? Anyhow great reaction! Very chill and always love a basterfs reaction! You gotta watch interstellar now!
Amazing performance...the Nazi interrogator...the Pinnacle of evil.....plays the exact opposite in Django....fire performance...... another great great anti Nazi movie is JOJO RABBIT....🤘✌️🔥🔥🔥
@@CJmidnightreactions much more comedy involved even though it's an extremely heavy topic...I'm Polish... Hitler destroyed hundreds of thousands of my ppl..so I don't say it's a great movie lightly....good luck on your journey bro ✌️you got a new sub🤘👍

Nice thanks for that info
I always wondered if there was anything I missed in the briefing scene

Imagine Adam Sandler being the bear Jew. God almighty
Hell ya 😂
Good reaction.
FYI, Brad Pitt Does Actually have Native American Heritage. So his script “ I Got a Little inJ*n In me” Must’ve made him uncomfortable.
