@@keeptrxllbeats4201 I make decent money from throwing my own shows completely diy, that has brought in more than a grand usually pocket about $1,200 or more after paying the artists i book as support for my events. i just hit $1,000 in streaming revenue this month im a little over $1,300 in my distro after recent pay outs. Technically dont know how much ive brought in from music all together b/c as far as studio session i do for people, beats i sell, consultations for marketing, and custom merch design i dont keep track of those lol

Everything this man says is NO CAP! I remember seeing dude multiple times in the south at conferences and he was always about dropping gems. Salute to the OG RapJuggernaut
This.. this was fvcking needed.
Everyone talks about how artists need discipline and marketing whatever whatever ( which I know is true ). . But hearing Kingpin talk about how much he’s sacrificed and work he’s put in to be in his position is so refreshing to hear.
Im working a full time job , working part time ( DoorDashing after a 8+ hour day while I type this ).
Writing , recording , engineering & marketing my own music.
Performing my music.
It’s a lot of time and sacrifices.
Barely time with friend’s family and romantic interests.
Because I know this will set up my future generations with my Last name.
I am / will build up the Fatal name to be known all over the world.
Writing & recording for a over a decade but just became serious last year.
Just wanna say thank you , to Sean , Kohrey , and Kingpin.. for my favorite episode of NLN.
You have to make music, people would wanna hear. That shit ur making is not right study the the greats study the latest study music, study art. Study humans and what they like what people wanna hear you have to make music that you love. And other people would love. With Rhythm . Push boundaries make good music. That shit ur making is special-Ed
I didn’t even want to reply but I went to hear ur shit. And it reminded me of my ex homie that got laced and tries to make music and it just makes me sad hearing that shit.
Hopefully you get better you seem like you put in alot sacrifices for music
Salute yo grind 🔥

What a line!!!!! "Success comes before work only in the dictionary" - Rapjuggernaut. The truth No shortcut. Maybe based on connections. A Rapper might get a shortcut rising to the top faster than a true indie. Getting on radio due to connections more than talent. If he/she had to advertise like us indies through google and other methods then he would have less listeners/fans
OG served up too many gems on this one! 🔥

Damd. This guy's words just took me into despair and then rite back to feeling powerful in myself
I feel like they really enjoyed having him on the show, and we need more wisemen like this in the music business. Thank you for your knowledge and inspiration!! God Bless 😊💪🏿
I met Kingpin in ATL in 2020 he the real deal 💯
I've been in branding and marketing for some amazing companies for just over 17 years, started at my first agency at 16. I'm almost finished with an album I've been working on producing and recording. Professionally, I'm focusing on "taking my talents" to the industry. This was really inspiring thanks for posting it. Subbed.
Hip hop saved my life bro. . I am what I am today because of hip hop and I'm headed for greatness because of hip hop .... we finna change the culture for real
First time hearing this guy and I love him like a big brother already
My 1st time here 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 it was GREAT
People are tired of the death and destruction we need new music! WE NEED ART! I am the art
Need pop and r&b
Thank you all for that you do. This episode was so motivational."what are you waiting for"that statement changed me🙌🏽 it will be rewarding the day we get to link up. You gentlemen are the truth!
Gotta respect a man using cooking allegories to explain composing/producing music. That's it. Nobody is waiting. Take your time. It's between you and god. Keep building that staircase step by step and one day you'll find yourself on a higher level, but keep building because that's what you love
His story of “getting started” is exactly how it starts when you decide to be an entertainment entrepreneur💯 It begins JUST LIKE THAT… I walked away from running a video rental store and being an open enrollment customer support person to be a comedian
That's what I live for legacy thank you guys for dropping this video. The part about who's waiting for your music changed my life thank you
This is one of the best episodes I've seen ya'll put up. This is so valuable and I'm only 17 minutes in!
I found this Man incredibly motivating and I’d like to remember all this when I start to get frustrated as a musician. Thank you for allowing him time to speak. 🙏🥰
Bruh this is probably the MOST EFFECTIVE podcast I’ve listened to ever. Shououts to this man for speaking.
I fk with this finding yourself and "making people care". I've seen people feel entitled to fans and even fuss at people for not hitting like ect. You're so right you can't force people to care without showing the receipts when you haven't developed the rep. I think it's best when you don't care what people think because then you making music for yourself first and whoever else likes it. I think solely needing outside validation in order to do things and to be successful is a recipe for disaster. "nobody is coming to save you" is something i've heard before a few times. It can either be encouraging or empowering depending on who is hearing it. To me its empowering because i'm in control and can do what I want. However, if you have a heavy victim mentality and disempower yourself daily "nobody is coming to save you" is terrifying although it's 100% true.
yesss i'm a music therapist I love it! I also love making relaxing and meditation music. I'm trying to profit on all the ways I can with all my skills
Music isn’t all about money - I think people mustn’t forget the art in artistry
these conversations are centered around the music business though, so it makes total sense. you can be the best artist but without knowledge of the industry or marketing etc, you'll never be a commercial success.
@@seanmundyphotoI’m also just tired of the idea that “real art isn’t made for profit”, like I guess no video game or high budget movie is art then? Just because you want to pay your bills with your passion doesn’t subtract from your authenticity as an artist.
I hate it when people like u say that, some of us do art to make profit because it's more than just art, it's also a business my G
@@GenuineRSA Exactly, and I always hear it from either people who don’t make art at all, or people who have too much pride despite being an amateur. I’ve never once heard a highly skilled artist say it’s wrong to profit off of your work.
@@defcreator187 What terrible point are you trying to make? First of all, nobody was talking about being seen as a legend, we were talking about being an artist which are not remotely the same thing. Second of all, if you’re definition of a real artist is just somebody who’s seen as a legend in their field, then you’re making my point for me. Most artists alive today that are seen as the greats, are million airs.
Let’s use Hip-Hop as an example because I’m a big fan, and the legends are very important to Hip-Hop culture. Eminem is seen as a legend and his net worth is over 200 million. Kanye is seen as legendary producer and rapper and his net worth is over 400 million.
Point being, choosing not to profit off your art doesn’t make you any more fit for the legend status, and profiting from your art doesn’t take away from that status either.
I love this dude. He drop it straight no chase.
Yes, eye seeeekkk it! Thank y'all soul much for being here and for sharing this! Truly appreciate it < 3333 More success is on the way!

GROWN A$$ MAN TALK! I love it 💎💪🏿
yoo thanks for the shoutout to Richmond Kingpin!!!
Real 🤝
I came to this video to see how I can make money from music without releasing a record, and got a whole life lessen😂 I picked up quite a few gems💎💎💎 though, like when he was saying worry about your own battle with yourself, to improve yourself because once you start worrying about other people you loose the battle, and by battling yourself will improve your life in general. How you are basically a king and queen and your job is to build an empire, and a few others just would be to much to type... 😅 it was so enlightening I have to come back to watch again. thank you'll appreciate what you'll doing 💯
