Just back from London Reto. I think it should be mentioned that Christian is an essential element in these track workouts so big kudos to him✅ And Reto, well, you continue to surprise us all, well done. Looking forward to to Y100 on 27th😀
Thanks for watching and your kind comments, Andy. Christian will appreciate your feedback, and I agree and will share with him. He's crewing me for the Yeti 100, and we're driving to Virginia on Wednesday. Should be fun.
They were some great times Reto. Kudos to the effort you're putting in regularly 👍 Don't be too hard on yourself about the 5k, you are progressing really well 👏
Thank you, Martin. Speed unfortunately diminishes as we age, so important to regularly train and maintain as much as we can. It has helped me on the trails. Appreciate your support!
Great work Reto. The temp should be great for running in NY. Are you in upstate NY? I thought you were in Connecticut. Why coach select 8 min rest? I was curious about that
Thanks Richard. I'm in CT, the Brewster high school track is across the state border, and sometimes we can't run on the local tracks because of football and soccer practice on the infield lol. The repeats are structured as lactate threshold, with a short recovery relative to the duration of the repeats. So for the target 25 min 5K repeats, 8 min rest is about 3:1 repeat to rest. Thanks for asking!

🏃♂️💨💨💨💨💨 coach, trying to slow Reto down a bit! An unenviable task 😅 Great running, Reto 👍
Hi Mark, running by feel is something that I'm still learning how to do. It'll help me when I'm running on trails. Thanks for the kind comments!
Some super strong a testing session Reto! Huge kudos bud! 💪🏃🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, Ben, for your support! Slowly making progress lol.
Thank you for the video, i always love watching your track workouts, American tracks are always so cool aha
Thanks for watching. We have tracks and you have XC nationals. Wish we had both lol.

That's a tough one to do on the track, 5k reps. Kudos for sticking with it 🎉🎉 and beat you target time by a good chunk 😁😁
Hey Matt, yep, gotta get used to longer repeats and eventually tempo runs on the road. Thanks for watching and supporting!
