This tilting back and acceleration happened on my Inmotion v12 HS. This also happened on my friends v11 just the other day. There is an option now in the new app that notices the batteries are not stabilized and it asks to reset them. After that was done, it fixed the issues. It seems to be common among ALL inmotion wheels.

Keep away from Inmotion products. On December 2021 I bought V12 after the Adam's review. On the very first day I got like 2 cut outs from standing still position, but wheel was turning on after that. One month later lights went off and a week or so later bearings have disintegrated after only 220km of ride. The wheel spent a month at the service and when it came back the motor was noisy and some metal grinding was coming out of the wheel. Almost another 3 months in the service and finally motor was replaced, I have my wheel back and it is riding well, but I lost all my confidence in this wheel, it could cut me out anytime, it could again break as the bearings are the cheapest possible, I just hate IM for this wheel. I bought V12 as I was impressed by my previously used V8 and by my V10 - these are really great products, waiting for V12 back from the service I bought used V10F with 10000km on it and it is still running fine (bearings to be replaced soon). But both V11 and V12 HS and HT are disasters. Many issues from the very beginning, and after more than one year they are unable to solve them, that's a shame and I will not forgive them this.
You can have luck or unluck with anything! I bought a new V10F last year. I chose it because it has been on the market for a long time and has proven itself. Or so I thought! After 80 kilometers... BAM... the motherboard died! Inmotion replaced it and now it works fine but who knows how long?! 🤷♂️ EUC's are sketchy and all of them are cheap produced in china. Question for you Adam, curious what settings you were using? Pedal sensitivity, split mode settings etc. I have 1400 miles on a v12ht first batch and now waiting on the v12ht which I ordered in March and should arrive soon. This wheel must have some weird curse. Chooch crashed his on the very first ride - but under different circumstances. I rode mine conservatively, for about 400 miles, but decided to stop and get a V11 until the new boards came. The V12 is a really good wheel - but with all the stuff going on, the Master and EX20s could eclipse the V12 before it has its time to shine.
Hey Adam in the next 2days I will be buying my V12, the distributor says they have new HS models with the new driver board. Do you know if the updated HS models have the reinforced rim as well? The reinforced rim might just tip me over to the HT if they didn't update the HS rim.
I have an idea - I made a 16 inch wheel scooter with Yedoo Friday frame and an EUC motor like this would be simply perfect. Now, I suspect these EUC's don't have any fancy wheel motors, all control electronics applied to EUC is on a separate motherboard so I wonder .... what kind of motor are they using and if I could get it as a separate unit to fit it to my scooter :P I'm currently using a Golden Motor, which is nice and robust and has a boatload of torque, but it's slow (30-35 kph). Something close to 50kph would be perfect on a 16 inch wheel, but that would require 600-650 rpm on the motor.
Thanks for the video. As always. Would you mind making a longer video on power pads for newbies? General Advantages ánd disadvantages of power pads, brands, good ones in different price brackets? Thanks!
I think the Grizzla pads are best right now because they are easiest to space exactly how far apart you want them to sit. Good for jumping. Just remember to use industrial strength velcro if you are a bigger rider.
Thank you for yet another entertaining and informative vid! Sorry to hear you got hurt!… :-( It is definitely frustrating! Want to know what sort of problem could that be this time with V12…
Hi, Adam. Can you please tell anything about charging V12 with 8A charger? I know that V12 supports up to 10A, so 8A should be totally fine, it is just 4A for each battery pack. Have charged it with 8A just 3 times yet, but did not saw any high temps or anything bad. Have seen opinions that max safe charging current for V12 is 6A.

I’m looking forward to the follow up to this story…It seems very odd..and disappointing!. This is a wheel I really interested in as my second wheel now that I have 1500kms on my starter.
Sorry to hear about the fall. I have had something like that when I got my wheel back from ewheels and it had a BMS issue and cutout with 98% batt going 35kph. My only question is why didn't you show the footage. You said Monica was behind the camera, so that implies you have footage. Is it because you know it will become a meme in the EUC world? LOL
V10F can do this if you overpower it. Just say overload get out and hard tiltback come no chance to react. Maybee V12 have this feature or just bad calibration are you calbrated V12ht before crash? You have eucworld conected if crash this rpogram have amazing log files with details about euc.
@@mr_wrongway Glad to hear that the internal log could be uploaded! Hopefully it still includes the time of the crash crash and wasn't overwritten by the ride back home.
I also had some serious issues with my very first batch of the order in China, the screen won't turn on, and every time I turn on the wheel just lean back itself then the wheel just starts burning like hell, making tons of burning smell, so I sent it back to factory, and they replaced the main board, I have to say with the new board the wheel is totally acting way much better in control, accelerating and braking. I wondered why they didn't make the wheel like this before, and there's definitely problems with the early orders. yes, the weel is ok now, but I lost confidence riding it at max speed, cuz almost all v12 users in China that I know are getting rid of the wheel and changing brand.
Adam, do you know if the V13 will have suspension? I'm trying to be patient since I like Inmotion quality but the lack of info is making me go back to Begode (maybe the Master). Thanks for your great content! Stay safe buddy!
So sorry the new wheel went on it's journey without you. I saw your video review of the V12 six months ago & knew that it was the wheel for me! I just bought my V12 last week. When I purchased it, I let the seller know that i wanted an updated board. Seller says No problem. Now when I ask about the board, they keep giving me the run around & saying they tested it before it shipped & to do the spin test & let them know if it fails. WTF is that?!?! Over 1/2 of the cutouts happen on wheels that passed the spin test. I thought that InMotion was going to replace all the sussy Main boards Period! How can I tell (without opening the wheel) if I have the updated board or not? My Main board says that it is Ver 1.5.4 . As the reseller is giving me a hard time should I try to deal directly with InMotion? I have already registered the wheel on their site. I don't really want to send the wheel back. I just want a new board. Any input is greatly appreciated.
WW, i have a serious question for you. My job is at the edge of town and the business is strict about, where i leave my items and i might not be able to keep my Electric Unicycle laying around indoors. At least the business is in a closed space so i could leave it outside, But can 4-8 hours of Unicycle sitting outside cause any harm to the electronics, even though it,s weather proof?
They are not weather proof. Put it inside. I couldn't imagine working for any company that would not accommodate me storing my personal items inside, that takes up about the same amount of space as a backpack. That would be a crazy conversation to me lol
Keep seeing video after video of this. We as consumers need to demand better services or at the very least a big price drop if we are going to be their test rats. 3k for a product that leads to a 25k hospital bill is ridiculous
You will homey. Just gotta believe. My first wheel should be coming soon to Canada, early June hopefully. V12HT. Hope I like it. But if I don't, no big deal, just sell it and maybe get a Surron e-bike..(:
Adam, I am glad you are ok, but this new trend of new wheels cutting out unexpectedly is not ok AT ALL. First the Abrams, and now the V12 HT. These are unfinished products that should have never gotten in your hands or the hands of any rider. Where’s the respect? Had these wheels been my first experience with EUCs, not only would I have stopped riding right away, I would actively campaign against anyone riding at all. Unexpected cutout in traffic, or even just a bike trail adjacent to a steep slope or body of water can lead to lethal results. The market will speak for itself…nobody trusts riding these particular wheels and will tank. The initial v12 problems were supposed to be fixed in this v12 HT! This isn’t a three strikes and you’re out situation…it’s a one and done. Done with these wheels and sorry…but these companies too.
Maybe, just maybe they actually need to test their products before they ship them out to consumers and especially reviewers. Reminds me of Garant Thumb getting the Hi-Point carbine sent to him for a review and catastrophe ensued. Like they know it's going out, but they can't even bother to put some miles in it before they hand it out and expect the reviewer to just brush it off and sell their product anyway.
Czy wiadomo, która opona w HT trafi do sprzedaży? Z tego co widzę na necie są 2 wersje - z pełnym środkiem i dużymi klockami oraz ta z filmu (i wszyscy co ją mają nie mają stópki ;) )
But reviewers should not be test pilots! (Not unique to Inmotion) ...and the eeevee guys ignored Inmotion in their "best manufacturer" award, iirc. It was a real surprise to me as an Inmotion customer.
Manufacturers are not testing there wheels properly. They should have testers out on new wheels for weeks prior to supplying them to anyone. Further they should be using them in extreme controlled environments, putting them through the worst they could reasonably expect a customer to. To glibly say its a firmware problem, is no excuse, what it does confirm is that changes in the firmware should attract the same regime in thorough testing. If firmware changes can fix a problem like this, it makes sense it could cause it as well.
I put a deposit down on this wheel. Now I’m kinda thinking about canceling my order with all these bad things I keep hearing from people who ride these things. I don’t wanna fall and get injured if I’m riding these things conservatively. Might just go with a scooter instead
@@MmmhMarky I want a Surron X, but these unicycles look so damn fun and cool. I hope my V12 HT doesn't cut out on me. It'll be my first wheel. Should be getting it early June hopefully. I want an e-bike and a couple wheels, but funds are limited, so I'm waiting to see how much I will like EUC's to make a decision on my next purchase. If I like the V12HT I'll probably just wait and see what V13 will be. If it looks good with suspension I will probably get it.

By his description of what had happened and I had seen it first in his Instagram story, he was going at a very low speed and all of a sudden, the wheel tilted and stopped and he flew for no reason. @@curtflirt2 You want me to relax when you're the one going 100 MPH with your comments? Don't be clown. Again, you not there. Adam there. Adam said no cutout. Software perhaps. Grunt.
Global testing and certification? If we compare wheels to airplanes, then we can expect costs to increase by 5 to 50 times. The amount of bureaucratic control is unfathomable to anyone not already immersed in that quagmire. Spare parts like a simple bolt that would cost about a dollar at the hardware store would cost maybe 37 dollars but it would come with complete chain of custody documentation and quality control test results. A very nice result, but more of a millionaires toy.
People would not buy them at that price, that would only be large companies that could afford that. Not saying that bureaucracy won't mess it up, but the price is not one of them. I fear that regulations will eventually force riders to ride on normal roads, or severely limit its speed, and then you might as well not have them anymore.

I rode mine conservatively, for about 400 miles, but decided to stop and get a V11 until the new boards came. The V12 is a really good wheel - but with all the stuff going on, the Master and EX20s could eclipse the V12 before it has its time to shine.
My V12 should be coming 28th this month ..what you recommend for pads? Im looking at grizzlies but im not sure I’m a Newby btw so any advice? Thanks
Now, I suspect these EUC's don't have any fancy wheel motors, all control electronics applied to EUC is on a separate motherboard so I wonder .... what kind of motor are they using and if I could get it as a separate unit to fit it to my scooter :P
I'm currently using a Golden Motor, which is nice and robust and has a boatload of torque, but it's slow (30-35 kph).
Sorry to hear you got hurt!… :-(
It is definitely frustrating! Want to know what sort of problem could that be this time with V12…
Wiadomo kiedy dostaniesz nowe V12HT? Bardzo mi się podoba ale Twój przypadek odstrasza od zakupu.
I was debating between the V12 HT and RS19 HT for my first wheel, now not so sure
Hope you heal quickly. Do you ever miss your monster pro? I still love mine.
Thanks! I guess sometimes. But now with the EX20S not so much anymore
New hs v12 board- today tilt back and the audio message “overcharge pls dismount”. I was stranded
Installed new board by yourself, or by a seller?
@@noelleonard2498 by a dealer eevee's
@@igorgoga7985 almost got this wheel, inmotion needs to get their shit together. So many issues with this new batch, terrible quality control. Think I'm just going to stick with my 16X that has never let me down.
@@noelleonard2498 i am thinking getting 16x as a matter of fact, I still have no update on my v12 as it is in the shop- they are trying to troubleshoot it with inmotion using some kind of proprietary soft, aka calibration tools
LOL
Monocat, not Monica 😅
She witnessed what happened from the back, she wasn't recording. That's what he said.
@@BitWolf "As Kate was behind the camera saw it." That's all he said. th-cam.com/video/BUvzCLUqpmI/w-d-xo.html
@@BitWolf Stupid auto correct 😝. Ah, that makes sense.
V10F can do this if you overpower it. Just say overload get out and hard tiltback come no chance to react.
Maybee V12 have this feature or just bad calibration are you calbrated V12ht before crash?
You have eucworld conected if crash this rpogram have amazing log files with details about euc.
I didn’t calibrate it…I uploaded the log files via inMotion app and sent them. I’m in touch :)
But V13 suspensions are arleady confirmed by Inmotion itself !
Trials tire seem like a good type of tread.
Thanks for sharing
I like electric unicycle, it’s very fun to ride, he he.
Update on this HT wheel would be ace!! 👌
Coming today
Say the name of the seller so we don’t buy from this crook.
How can I buy that 'Tiltback to the Future' shirt. It's the best!!! 😂
Keep seeing video after video of this. We as consumers need to demand better services or at the very least a big price drop if we are going to be their test rats. 3k for a product that leads to a 25k hospital bill is ridiculous
curious, how do you get the wheel to do the free spin thing and then make it stop?
CAN ANYONE TELL ME, will there be an newer version of the v12 High speed this coming JUNE?
All those beauties in the back and of course Kate.
Wish I could call any of those wheels my own.
You will homey. Just gotta believe. My first wheel should be coming soon to Canada, early June hopefully. V12HT. Hope I like it. But if I don't, no big deal, just sell it and maybe get a Surron e-bike..(:
Kinda like the Abrams crash. I hope Inmotion is faster at finding a solution than LeaperKim, because we're still waiting for one.
It was different. Abrams was a Hal sensor - software problem. They put out an update for that today :)
Is the rear light stronger as the previous model?
What's better, the new version, not the old one, the better battery, the good speed.
Very discouraging that quality control isn’t keeping pace with the increase in power and capability of these wheels.
The opinion I trust is one who turns down free stuff for promotion
Adam, how is begode master meanwhile riding? I think more people looking for updates about that wheel...
Inmotion gave you the V12 HT to be the crash test dummy. Nothing’s ever free.
Day 3 of asking to do a comparison with the EX20S and the Master. Maybe a partial review
I’ll look into it :) I was thinking about it this morning :)
But reviewers should not be test pilots! (Not unique to Inmotion) ...and the eeevee guys ignored Inmotion in their "best manufacturer" award, iirc. It was a real surprise to me as an Inmotion customer.
Innotion has a high failure rate.
I was told the same by ewheels.
My v11 had a board failure.
Colors are similar to the latest Volcano Hybrid vaporizer. I like it! 🌱😁
And just as much plastic that you are inhaling.
So sad to hear so many issue with inmotion product.
grip tape in 2022? Spiked pedals and power pads is a safety feature when we talk about wheels that can go over 50kph
You don't have the footage where you crashed?
Sadly no
Fresh haircut?😁
This is disheartening. What is Inmotion doing...I just had a cutout on my brand new V11. Waiting on a new board currently.
I put a deposit down on this wheel. Now I’m kinda thinking about canceling my order with all these bad things I keep hearing from people who ride these things. I don’t wanna fall and get injured if I’m riding these things conservatively. Might just go with a scooter instead
I am with you. I ordered powerpads for the v12, but I am looking at e-scooter and e-bike now.
"Two wheels is better than one."
@@Skrippykrotangler good luck to you and always wear lots of protection. It is indeed a lot of fun, but danger is everywhere. Avoid any chances of danger to minimize risk. Hsiang tested the v11 and ran over all the manholes he came across until one flipped him over.
I am TELLING YOU, I am Soo disappointed to hear about this cutout with this wheel. Had the money coming to buy this at the end of the month.
It wasn't a cutout
@@GoLakers3900 It definitely was a cut out, just what was the reason for it. A sudden stop like that in the wheel for no real reason is a cut out. InMotion has had way too many issues with this.
@@curtflirt2 You weren't there, Adam was and he stated it wasn't a cutout.
@@GoLakers3900 Slow down, don't get too into your feelings, RELAX!! By his description of what had happened and I had seen it first in his Instagram story, he was going at a very low speed and all of a sudden, the wheel tilted and stopped and he flew for no reason. That there indicates a Cut Out or what we would call a Cut Out in the EUC community!
@@curtflirt2 You want me to relax when you're the one going 100 MPH with your comments? Don't be clown.
Again, you not there. Adam there. Adam said no cutout. Software perhaps. Grunt.
I'll take an Euc fire over a cut out or glitch any day.
So the possibility of death over falling down LOL
I need ten thousand of you guys to get these guns and ammo off my books and *RIGHT NOW!*
Plus joli coiffure..
You got what you asked for 🤣
man what an ugly wheel
you think so? I think it's the sexiest looking wheel, followed by the Master and the RS19.
this thing got that flash gordon shape man like an old mail box or something i dont know 😀
@@Skrippykrotangler So, that means you want to make sex with this wheel? Watch out for cut out.
