Growing Multiple Suckers from Single Pineapple Crown

This is an amazing technique to grow multiple suckers/seedlings from just a single crown/top shoot of Pineapple. Generally we just plant the whole crown and from where we can only get one sucker (rarely more). But very few of us know this magic method to grow multiple suckers from only crown. So, I am very hopeful that after watching my video everyone will be able to produce his/her own Pineapple nursery not only to fulfill own demand but also to starts business. Interesting, I’ve been trying to grow a plant from the crown as I just want the green plant, but the leaf tips always dry up and turn brown and I don’t know if I should cut that off or not, I’m going to try this way next year as it’s getting on to winter here in the states (Michigan) thanks for the info

No, not like that. Its depends on what type of variety you are growing.

It depends on variety to variety, country to country, climatic condition, soils and management as well.

If there is no stress condition sprouting will be started by two months after transplanting into the media. Some varieties may be early or delayed. And obviously environment is a factor.
