- This cute chap is so simple to make and will put a smile on anyone's face in the festive holiday season!
I've used stretch knit fabric as it's so forgiving, and so soft to touch. Try making a few in different sizes to create a fun group of characters!
This one stands 7" [18cm] tall with his hat folded down.
Use a 1/4" [6mm] seam allowance.
Materials from www.debbieshoresewing.com
Materials:
1 piece of fabric measuring 15” x 6” [38cm x 15cm] for the body [Woolly Christmas Fair Isle Knit]
1 circle of fabric measuring 3” [6cm] across
2 triangles of fabric for the hat each measuring 8” x 10” [20cm x 25cm] [Plain Polar Fleece Wine]
1 circle of fabric measuring 3” [6cm] across for the nose
Approx. 5m of ¼” [6mm] piping cord or thick yarn
Pom-pom for the hat
Toy filler
Strong wet fabric glue [H640]
Another wonderful easy demonstration. You really do explain things very clearly

thank you Debbie for this, I looked at others and they drove me potty, with their over the top instructions ie pin this to the right side I'll show you how to pin, then went on for ages saying how to pin. I don't know why I looked elsewhere my bad. thank you for not treating your viewers like total Idiots.
cute love to watch you sew or glue,
Acho uma pena não saber ingles
Mas o bom mesmo e que suas aulas são tão maravilhosas
Que consigo fazer tudo o que ensina
Obrigada pelos ensinamentos preciosos
Beijos💐👏
Hello. Is there a tutorial for the bag with drawstring ribbon hanging by a peg behind you on the wall? Thank you.
Luv these little gnomes. How would you make a bigger one x
Make the base the size you want, then the width of the body section will be about 4 times the circumference
Hi Debbie, your gnome is gorgeous ❤️. What are the measurements of the fabric pieces you have used please? Also, what thickness of piping are you using as I love the shaggy look 🤗? Thank you x
All on the description box under the video!
Thanks Debbie x

Can you tell me what size piping cord you used please Debbie
That’s 1/4” (6mm)
@@debbieshore thank you
A bought doorstep that needed to be recovered had gravel in a strong plastic bag inside.
Could I use cotton fabric for his body ?
You could, just be careful Em with the gathering around the base to make sure the gathers are even, you’ll also need to hem the hat.
Thankyou
