I still love 101 Dalmatians. I finally rewatched the remake, and it still holds up. The other two I enjoyed all the way through are Pete's Dragon and Lady and the Tramp.

I think these movies are best when they try to deviate from the original. The more the better. Even though the movie is bad, I can respect Mulan for not being a musical cause the animated one already did that. When the movies are trying to just be live action versions of the animated movies I find it hard to even excuse their existence cause why wouldn't I just watch the animated versions that are pretty much always just... better? Sorry not sorry.
I think it started well with Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent cause they were so different from the animated versions that they had reasons to exist. The worst movie is still the Lion King cause it's everything I hate in these remakes. The fact that it's the highest grossing animated film ever is frankly an insult to the medium cause it's animation that's sacrificing its own quality to make you believe it's not animation. I.e. it's animation that hates itself. And I don't stand for that.
Putting Cinderella in the S tier is a crime lol

The 2016 Jungle Book is the only one I like because it’s closer to the book.
With the existing controversy of the animated Pocahontas, I am praying that they don't make a live action version 😭 or at least, make a completely new story with a new Native American princess.
And Hunchback of Notre Dame is also safe. Thank god. I don't want to see how they'd butcher Hellfire.

As a die hard little mermaid fan, the live action version for me was by far the worst. I can go on and on about how the live action just did not understand the original at all. 😪
