Attacking Barcelona has always been a thing. It's why I was so dissapointed when most Barca TH-camrs jumped on the whole 'terrible transfer window and Olmo is a bad signing' bandwagon before the season even started.
The Olmo transfer is terrible because he’s injury prone, his footballing ability was never questioned and only god knows how many games will he miss this season :/

Most of these mfs dont give credit to barca when its due, granted its only 5 games into the season. Which is why i respect channels like deadball tv and give n go (atleti fans) and Faysal from SDS (die hard madrid fan) bc theyre unbiased and actually give credit to barca when they perform well.

Robby, I feel you, man. I normally consume Barça content in spanish, and it is way worse. The influence and control of RM over the media (i.e. Marca, AS, Sport, ESPN Deportes, etc.) is insane. Add to this RM influencers in social media, and we’re talking about a control of the football community’s narrative to RM’s benefit like nothing I’ve seen since I first started following sports. Being a Barça fan comes with having to live with the hate of all of RM’s controlled media.
That's it's not a problem but the bigger problem which I don't understand is other fans seeing the content and going with it just cause they hate barca and not stand against cause it's not true or has no sense but there is still a few who calls things as they seems😊

Take 2009 UCL semifinal dor example. Chelsea robbed Barcelona in the first leg, but NOBODY remembers that. You know why? Because immediately after the 2nd leg, English media painted the match as the biggest robbery of all time and they gave Barca the "Uefalona" name.
Even before neutral fans could make up their minds about the game, English media painted their own picture about it and of course people bought into it. Cause average human is so f*cking gullible

I fully get your point, the timing is really strange.
But as someone who watches Vizeh quite often, he does quite a few of these videos where he covers trending stories. His FDJ vid came out during the whole "Frenkie is still feeling pain but refuses surgery" period and tbf to him he went deeper into Frenkie's history and covered the story with good, accurate details.
I also watched the football iconic video and I think it's the first one I've seen from them. Tbf to them, it's obvious that it took a lot of time to make so maybe it was started before we reached this level, but the overall vibe of the vid, presentation and even tone of the voiceover was sometimes unnecessarily and overly negative.
Idk. Maybe I saw it that way because, as you said, I was on a high and it kept bringing me further down but in reality it might've been fair.
What really matters tho is letting yourself enjoy the moment and ignoring all the negativity because we all know how bad it can get at Barça and how painful that is so we should enjoy the highs.
Its our own fault tbh, nobody has taken us serious and should take us serious for the past couple years because how shit we are, but now the flickanator will restore our respect dw

Barcelona traumatized world football for a decade+ and when we went through tough times everyone rejoiced. For years they spoke about the death of Barca and how we were closer to AC Milan than Madrid(quote from the Managing Madrid Podcast). The fact that the boogeyman of world football is going through a rebirth with la masia doing la masia things, the club being healthy financially and competing so well even though we've made one signing this season + the addition of Hansi Flick(A manager second only to Pep). The team they said was dead is ready to compete for everyone for the next 15+ years.
I see their fear as a natural response but the ptsd is pure comedy.

Barca internet is worse. Barca journalists are a huge part of it they never act check their statements. They'll just say whatever they want. And Barca has such a huge fanbase it's so easy to get views/interaction. And a lot of hate comes from British media and fans. Probably coming from childhood trauma of Barca beating them.

If I had to put on my tin foil hat, I'd say it's not a coincidence that these videos have popped up round about the same time that Victor Font has also been in the news criticizing everything Laporta has done in the last 4 seasons. Ever since the day we found out that Bartomeu used to pay people to make social media content discrediting our own players and coaches, I can't of look at "criticism" that comes out of the blues with a serious side eye. After the vizeh and football iconic uploads I've low-key been toying with the thought that somebody paid these guys to make those videos. I know, it's a bit out there, but the amount of information that football iconic has in his video seems way beyond his typical level of depth of knowledge. This guy was talking about the great grandson of one of Barcas former Club Presidents a guy who even I had never heard of until I watched that football iconic video. Now I'm not saying that football iconic doesn't research his videos well, he tends to be good particularly on the statistical side of things but never in history has he shown investigative journalism levels of research which is precisely what you'll see especially in the second half of that video most especially towards the end of it. I think Dan from the Barca Podcast, who you've worked with, is one of the most knowledgeable English speaking content creators in the Culerverse and I've learned a lot of niche information about Barca and it's history from his content. How is it that my man Tinashe (football iconic) has info that to my knowledge even Dan doesn't have? The level of detail from football iconic, in my opinion, felt kinda spoon-fed like somebody just directly gave him that information coz how are you (a premier league and united fan who has previously shown only surface level knowledge on other leagues and generally parroted what outlets like The Athletic report on Barca) out here promoting a guy who is basically a nobody as a potential future president of Barca (detailing his whole family tree and connection to the club) whilst not even making mention of guys like Victor Font, who we all know has been putting in work and been the face of change since Barto latter days? It seems pretty strange to me for someone to do that unless of course they weren't really tapped in to what's going on and somebody just "told them" what's going on.
Anyway if they did get a bag, I can't hold it against them, I'd slander Real Madrid for free just for shits and gigs so if there was a bag involved it would obviously be a no brainer 😂. The conclusion is that we as cules must strive to be more like Flick and less like Xavi with regards to paying attention to negative headlines. Just 2 days after those negative uploads we received news that Barcas salary cap has increased by like 200Ms, seats are now being installed in the Nou Camp Nou and the team is playing well. Let's focus on the positives guys, siempre positivo and forca Barca.
Everyone hates Barca, even our own “fans”. I mean it’s unbelievable how they can whistle and boo our own player during the Joan Gamper player presentation. And also the fact that there are Twitter accounts that are literally created just to hate on certain players. It seems that some of our “fans” have become toxic in recent years due to these types of videos and posts you’re talking about. It’s embarrassing for the rest of us real fans who have supported this club throughout its worst moments.
If there's three reasons why they uploaded negatively towards Barcelona it's this:
1. The season is too early to call which means they weren't convinced by the games we won despite the context and nature of La Liga (which I'm sure they don't know about it)
2. Because the season is early, the memory of Barcelona being trophyless last season is still fresh
3. Last but not the least, Barcelona having a "terrible" summer transfer because our only big signing is Dani Olmo (+Pau Victor) whereas the rest is selling or loaning players

You'd be surprised how often this happens with Spanish sport media portals too: most of them always try to talk trash about the team whenever we're doing somewhat well, like, posting "new info" on the Negreira case or posting fake information that may affect negatively the teams moral and stuff. Most of Spanish sport media portals are connected to Real Madrid, not surprisingly considering what Florentino Pérez said back in 2009 about controlling TV channels and sport media portals such as Marca.
Been saying this for years. As Barça fans, the problem is that some of us believe the lies instead of looking into the club for ourselves.
Tbh, Football iconic video was pretty good. He made a video on Madrid's history and then Barca history.

I love vizeh's videos but I did not even bother with the FDJ one. We often forget that just because someone makes YT vids does not mean they're experts, it's easy to assume they're experts because of the prevalence of that circumstance in YT (often times, not always tho, actually qualified experts make YT vids eg prof dave and the indian guys who helped me pass my calculus modules in varsity). Vizeh however, is not an expert just like most of the football commentary YT channels, he is just an idiot (like myself) who has a platform to voice his idiotic opinions. If he does not understand what FDJ does, then that's him being stupid and willfully ignorant because an expert (like pythag in boots for eg) would never say something that ignorant. Because if you have watched an in form, healthy and motivated FDJ play football, there's no way you'd ask what he does. He is literally one of the best ball-carrying and progressive midfielders of this here generation. Yes he is injury prone, but that does not take away from his abilities and accomplishments.

As a neutral, barca are playing the best football in the world period. Pleasant surprise considering their current structure and what happened last season, but it cannot be excused that these players are playing top top level football. Hope they can sustain this level to keep laliga competitive.
