First Vietnamese video in Taichung, Taiwan done and dusted. I am approaching the end of my second year outside of Vietnam now and am honestly feeling a bit homesick 😅. Very grateful to have had the opportunity to communicate with the Taichung’s Multilingual Vietnamese Locals. This is also the first time I have had Chinese to Vietnamese interpreter who didn’t speak English. Really looking forward to eating that “Bánh gai” I purchased 🤤 PS: For anyone interested in going to this Vietnamese Market in Taichung, this video was recorded on: 📍Chenggong Road, Central District, Taichung Taiwan 🇹🇼 🎬 TO SEE MORE FROM MY CHANNEL and HELP ME GET 10K SUBS: www.youtube.com/@kuselo?sub_confirmation=1 Thanks for the support 🙂
5:40 Even though I’ve only been studying Vietnamese for a few months, I was impressed that I was able to pick up what you were saying without the subtitles! You don’t speak with a Vietnamese accent, but it’s very clear and you don’t speak too fast either but also idk if they were speaking a little bit slower for you? But I could understand them better too:)) I guess it’s cuz they were asking simple stuff that I’ve heard a lot myself “you speak Vietnamese very well, what country are you from” I heard words like món ăn and đặc sản Which are food related so it was easy to understand based on the context but still really cool that my brain is starting to make those connections let’s gooo
Yeah... keep going, you'll get better and better. As you learn the language, you will realise that the locals are not actually speaking slower but you are actually listening faster 😅 cause the more you speak to them, the more you will adapt to the speed they speak at... of course this isn't true all the time, some Vietnamese people speak with an accent that you just aren't used to so you won't even hear the words you already know 😅
So cool bro! I visited Vietnam in 2022 by complete chance, and now it’s become one of my favourite countries in the world and I’ve now even started to learn the language. I’m from Ireland but heard that there’s many Vietnamese communities in Germany, France, Czechia etc and now I want to visit those communities and ones all around the world ! I actually went to Taipei last year for 1 week but I didn’t realise there was Vietnamese there too :(( maybe next time :))
I’m impressed by your Vietnamese. I understand 100% everything you said in Vietnamese 🫶🏻🔥 keep improve my friend and thank you for choosing Vietnamese to learn 🇻🇳
3:20 ohhhh I actually learned some IsiXhosa before too! It’s such a coool language ! I met an old man from SA living near me, he said his mother was Xhosa and his dad was a white South African… so I went and did a couple lessons online with an isiXhosa teacher to learn some phrases before I saw him again and I could surprise him:)) I saw him again, he was super surprised BUT turns out he can’t speak isiXhosa only Afrikaans haha
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is very multicultural. It feels like a real example of the word ‘melting pot’. Taiwan still feels very Chinese/Taiwanese with mostly just Taiwanese people walking around. So yeah I’d say it’s not like USA either but like any major city you can always find food shops selling different kinds of international food.

Hey... that's awesome actually, you took the time to learn some Xhosa so you could surprise the South African living near you. Incredible 🥹
Wow, I'm not Vietnamese but by listening you said it. I knew you're very good at it.
Thanks... much appreciated 🙏🏽
Taiwan is very multicultural now. Taiwan is like a mini United States
Yeah it's getting more multicultural... but not sure about it being like a mini United States though. Will see how things develop in the future
