5:40 Even though I’ve only been studying Vietnamese for a few months, I was impressed that I was able to pick up what you were saying without the subtitles! You don’t speak with a Vietnamese accent, but it’s very clear and you don’t speak too fast either but also idk if they were speaking a little bit slower for you? But I could understand them better too:)) I guess it’s cuz they were asking simple stuff that I’ve heard a lot myself “you speak Vietnamese very well, what country are you from” I heard words like món ăn and đặc sản Which are food related so it was easy to understand based on the context but still really cool that my brain is starting to make those connections let’s gooo

3:20 ohhhh I actually learned some IsiXhosa before too! It’s such a coool language ! I met an old man from SA living near me, he said his mother was Xhosa and his dad was a white South African… so I went and did a couple lessons online with an isiXhosa teacher to learn some phrases before I saw him again and I could surprise him:)) I saw him again, he was super surprised BUT turns out he can’t speak isiXhosa only Afrikaans haha

So cool bro! I visited Vietnam in 2022 by complete chance, and now it’s become one of my favourite countries in the world and I’ve now even started to learn the language. I’m from Ireland but heard that there’s many Vietnamese communities in Germany, France, Czechia etc and now I want to visit those communities and ones all around the world ! I actually went to Taipei last year for 1 week but I didn’t realise there was Vietnamese there too :(( maybe next time :))
