- Today I want to talk about using the Accsoon Seemo as a wireless director's monitor for an iPad, and - how that might be the best use case I've seen with this product while using it over the last year. And no, I don't use it for my iPhone.
We're on a mission to reach 1,000 subscribers by the end of 2023! I'd love to have you join along!

That's why I think the Accsoon Seemo is such a valuable piece of gear, you can use it in more ways than the way it's advertised. I've got a couple different uses planned for it, one of them being a livestream photo session around town showing the camera's UI. It'll require an HDMI audio embedder, and I'll use a wireless audio solution which will make the setup a bit more ridiculous, but I got the mounting solution and cabling figured out, and I think it's doable while keeping it still hand-holdable.
Using gear in more ways that it's advertised is the best way to use gear! Appreciate the comment!
So underrated! I know you hope to get 1k at the end of 2023 but I hope you get 10k!
The first video I saw from you is the a7s iii rig with the Tamron 35-105.
Videography for me is still a hobby for me where I get paid sometimes and I hope I can do what you do someday.
But I think that has to wait because I just started as a media planner 💀
Heck yeah! Appreciate the encouragement so much. Videography definitely started as a hobby for me as well - looking back, I never imagined I’d be here today.
Maybe 10k subscribers will be the goal for 2024 😅
Nice!
Appreciate the love!
This video is very helpful!!. I’m going to purchase. What wireless HDMI set up do you use?
Hollyland makes pretty good budget wireless HDMI transmitters/receivers. I have an older 400 model, but the newer 400S Pro is fantastic from what I’ve seen.
Thanks for the review,
Does Seemo charge your Ipad?
I'm looking at similar needs as yours and I could also run HDMI to capture card to Ipad and use Monitor+ and I'm so confused what this seemo set up gives over that one...
The Seemo does charge the iPad! (I believe it only charges USB-C devices)
From what I understand - Monitor+ is only able to use the wifi connection from a camera & the Seemo is the only device on the market that can run a hardwired HDMI input into the iPad/iPhone. Because of this, the hardwire connection is just a lot more stable/easier to setup over using something like monitor+
@@RossBarnett02 Monitor+ can use WIFI or it can use wired USBC to USBC or you can feed HDMI signal via capture card or it even has a duplex mode where you can combine so you would get HDMI signal and camera control signals (that's the one I want to test, but still waiting for my Ipad to arrive)
@HardIsEasy woah! I see now on monitor+ website that with iPadOS 17 they released an update earlier this month that supports input through capture card. Interesting! In years past I knew this was impossible, maybe that’s a new Apple update that is allowing HDMI input now? If so, makes the Seemo almost obsolete. I might buy the Kondor Blue capture card and see if it works all the same using Monitor+
@@RossBarnett02 Yea new IPadOS allows now usb webcams which these usb capture cards are... I'm gonna try out some USB hubs and see if I can get HDMI + camera control cable + charging to everything that would be a neat set up :)
But finding the right hubs and cables might be a challenge
