I know some people that collect cheap cards “for the binders” that are for fun, but I know more people that don’t act like they want the cards, and instead seem only to view boxes as lottery tickets. To be honest, I wish they would just buy lottery tickets. It’s a lot easier to cash them in and I think it would do us all a favor. The psychological aspect of what is happening is pretty interesting.
You should do a topic on whatnot dying. The app is losing it's sellers and the viewership going down on the breaks daily. I can see whatnot disappearing in a few years. Having only 100 people in the basketball break channels isn't going to cut it. Theres no need to break when Wal-Mart shelves are fully stocked and the wax on clearance for 50% off
I feel like an exception in this hobby, been in just a year. I live in NZ (new zealand) and a handful of breakers run the show. I took part in breaks early on until I did the math's. Seems like everyone just wants to hit the top qb since that's worth the $. I now buy singles of players I'm emotionally attached to.
To each his own. No one should be able to tell you how to spend your money but, you have to either be extremely savvy or a straight up jackass to invest or gamble on sports cards at the moment. Very few people are actually making money on trading cards. There is a whole list of hundreds of mutual funds that are over 40% YTD and people are buying into breaks to make money. People need to Wisen up the covid boom is long gone. Thanks for the video and Merry Christmas.
Am I missing something? Isn’t opening packs & boxes in and of itself gambling? Also, iIt seems like the reason why breaking is even a thing is bc of how much these packs & boxes cost. The average person cannot afford the product anymore, so breaks are a means to having a chance at opening product. Not to mention, if say I’m a Celtics fan, I might not want to pay for all of the other teams. So the option to pay for only my team is a better value for me. Just another perspective on breaking

OF and breaking?! They're ahead of the curve. Women are not dumb
Who are trusted breakers?????
The gambling aspect in this hobby is a fool's bet. Breakers get loaded boxes to begin with. You have better odds actually going to Vegas and winning.
Hopefully honest, reliable breakers rise to the top. Seen breakers disappear whenever a dishonest decision receives heavy pushback on social media.
Tell us who we can trust?????

To your comment about the ‘average person’ The big irony is that the average person cannot afford new product mostly Because of breaking
Its gambling yes but some people its emotional attachment when it comes to pulling ur fav team or player. Vegas gambling does not have that attachment
Vegas has better odds.
