    Hi Pete. What i would love to is a video on the various tips, blue red green and silver and what can be sprayed through them. As in types of paint, not everyone is a painter by day. The last review all i got was PPG. Yeah ok. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

      Hi Paul, I haven't got the green HVLP cap so can't say what it's like, I have done reviews on the Aqua cap and the DVR Clear and Titania cap, the latest in below, trying the Titania Pro cap against the DVR Clear cap, cheers 👍

    Great gun you have there Pete, I’ve got the 3300 GTO, plus I recently bought the 4600 Extreme DVR 1.3XL clear gun I’ve used the 3300 but not the 4600 , really eager to see how I go with it, so far I think they are very good guns

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's my first Sagola but having used it a few times i really like it, can lay clear super smooth if needed, quite fast as well in 1.3XL, I'll no doubt be looking at another in time to come, maybe the 3300 like you have or the mini extreme, been slimming my guns down a bit to make way for the newbies, what do you think of the 3300 GTO?

      @watchthisspacecarchannel6523 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@peteshobbies5383 well to be honest my first use was horrible but that’s because my friend bought the clear and it came with fast hardener and fast thinners and it was a very hot day, so a section came out like sandpaper, but when I tried it on a test panel with slower hardener etc it came into its own, great atomisation , I think you’ll have great results like on sample tank that you use in your videos, .
      I too wanted to get the extreme mini but I’m not sure if it’s more midi size , a few weeks ago I was torn between Devilbiss SRI ( or new replacement version) the Sagola miniextreme or an Iwata LPH 80, and I’ve decided the LPH 80 is what will best suit me I even considered the Sata 4400 right after I told you I’ll never get one but no the Iwata will be able to do all I need

      @@watchthisspacecarchannel6523 , The LPH80 is a great gun, especially for smaller stuff, i know exactly what you mean re fast hardener, once it starts to go off, even though its still seems very liquid your on a downwards slop, still we live and learn, well most of the time anyway 😀

    Hi Pete, . I have the 1.3 DVR 4600 clear. I think I have the only 1.3 that is on the planet lol.... All the videos I see, was made with the XL tips. Why would Sagola make a XL version and the normal sizes.
    I think Sagola is the only paint gun manufacturer that make a xl nozzle.
    Maybe Sagola is replacing the standard size with the XL tips now.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Stanley, the tips on the 4600 are all the same apart from the size so you can get the DVR Clear versions in 1.2, 1.2XL which is 1.25, 1.3 like you have, 1.3 XL which is 1.35 and 1.4.
      I have all the tips apart from a 1.4, I really like the DVR 1.3 or 1.3XL, the XL is just a bit faster although they are a fast gun anyway, i normally use the the 1.2 or 1.2XL with the Aqua cap and the Titania cap as it allows a bit more control

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  ปีที่แล้ว

      Forgot to say, Iwata does HD tips on there guns which are, for example, 1.32mm on the 1.3HD so not as oversize as Sagola but bigger than the 1.3 they also make

  • @davidray4655
    @davidray4655 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well Pete, I got the 4600 and I must say this thing is a hoser at 2 turns out. I had to turn the fluid out just 1.5 turns to match my speed, but the fan is only 6 or so inches and thats not wide enough so I turned the fluid wide open and moved like crazy and it seemed to spray the way I want but I really don't like moving that fast.
    Do you think the 1.2 or 1.2xl would slow me down but still give me a wide fan pattern?
    I'm using 42% solids clear unreduced at 2bar 7" off the panel. Slow activator @ 80F

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David, Sounds like you got the 1.3XL DVR Clear and yes it throws it out which is one of the things i like about it but sounds like it's not for you in that configuration.
      As you say, with this and many other guns turning the fluid down compromises the fan which is why they make different tip sizes.
      The 1.2 is slower and is recommended for the lower solid clears which your is by the sounds of it, the cap just draws too much fluid through with the bigger tips.
      Another thing to try is the Titania cap, this tends to cut the delivery speed as it has a baffle in the air cap that the DVR Clear doesn't have, it defuses the air so with the smaller tip works well, i think the 1.2XL so 1.25mm is a great do it all size but think it may well be a little too much still.
      No the lightest or prettiest gun around are they but you know they will last years and years, hopefully you can get a setup that works for you mate 👍

      @@peteshobbies5383 thanks Pete, but which would you consider the best option cap or tip? Or both?

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  ปีที่แล้ว

      I Would say tip first as the Titania with the 1.3 or 1.35 will still be fast, the tip should slow it down the most but i would go 1.2 as i think 1.25 will be too much still if your having to turn the fluid down that much

    Hi Pete! Just got 4600 Xtreme DVR Clear version for a very good deal from Australia, seems like in Australia it costs less. By the way I’m from Europe. I’m so excited to try it out 😎
    Could you please share best settings for 4600 to get flattest finish?

      I know where Latvia is but have never been there, unfortunately.
      I think the Fuji spray gun is overpriced for a product made in Asia, I haven't used one but the Sagola is a great gun, well made in Europe.
      The sites I use are below.

      tiendaracingcolors.com/es/Pistolas-Sagola/

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi William, I haven't got any problems with the coating, on one, which was used when I got it some of the anodising has been scraped off but that's where the previous owner used a different spanner on the tip which scratched the surface.
      Is it actually on the taper where the tip seals?

    • @williammuldoon-zh2pf
      @williammuldoon-zh2pf ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Pete thanks for the reply yes its on the tapered seat . I had problems with it straight out the box and was advised to over tighten the tip which cured the fluctuating fan but i recently changed tip and its doing the same. In hindsight i should have returned the gun .
      Thanks
