The UNTOLD Story of RICCARDO CALAFIORI

- Thanks for watching! I tried to keep the brainrot stuff to a minimum here, but there's only so much you can say about Bologna's Riccardo Calafiori before the word "aura" shows up.
Some people are saying he's primed to make a move to a top Premier League side, but we'll see how these Euros pan out for him. He is only the second-youngest player to ever play in the competition after all (just behind Paolo Maldini). Let me know what you think in the comments!

This guy will be a star
Guy gave a great assist tonight
Yeah I'm really happy for him because people were giving him a hard time for the own goal against Spain. Too bad he's gonna miss the round of 16, but let's hope Italy make it to the quarters so he can come back!
Great player, reminds me of Canavarro!
@@nunorb83 Nesta and Maldini
Hahahahaha, his hair is definitely a throwback!
@@artefactos1519 fingers crossed
I hope he’s not injury prone due to that knee injury. I would love to see him succeed as he is a very fun player to watch despite being at defense.
Finally a great successor to Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, Bonucci, etc..
Roma truly did give away some premium talent over the years. Scamacca, Frattesi, Calaforini... all mostly sold for a pittance.
So true
Mancini and Calafiori duet should be now
Tell me about it, I made a video about Scamacca just before this one, and have been debating about making a video essay about the Roma academy because of how many top level players slip through the cracks. Add Lorenzo Pellegrini and Matteo Politano to that list as well, and it becomes clear that it's a serious problem for the club. I say all this as a Roma fan btw haha.
To be fair, Roma needed the money.
At the time and still to this day, they are facing Uefa FFP issues
@@tired-dev Even so, they sold him to a Swiss team for 1.5 million. Mourinho was the manager at the time. 1.5 is nothing, Roma lost talent AND a lot of money on top of that. I'm not against selling young players to make bank, but at least develop them and sell them well for premium cash. Roma was dumb here.
We have great players and they need playing time. Calafiori needs to continue playing and he will be the next Great Italian Defender. Surely, these EURO's performances just bumped up his stock!
Yeah and that sell-on clause with Basel probably means Bologna will charge a STEEP price off the back of these Euros.
He's got the Maldini touch
Amazing video man, and forza azzuri!💙
Thank you for the kind words Luca! Forza Azzurri!
Having maradona as your profile pic you know football and that’s enough for me and your opinion makes me want him more at juve as juve I say maradona greatest football player ever no question about it
I'm glad me and Christoph Kramer aren't the only people who have noticed...
Amazing video. Thank you. He's definitely star. Lion heart.
Thanks for watching! I've always found his return from that injury to be really remarkable, and I'm glad he's getting some appreciation now.
It was quick video but beautiful and very informative thank u my friend u just got new follower
Thanks for the sub bro!
He scored a great goal against Spain
Mourinho should not be allowed back in Rome for freezing him out of the squad.
That might be a bit extreme hahahaha, but I agree that Mourinho's habit of going completely cold on certain players is very frustrating from a fan perspective.
One of the best
Very high quality video compared to your sub-count. You deserve more subs!
Thank you, I really appreciate that! Hoping to get that number up and continue to improve the videos.
It's simply great. He looks like Maldini. Finally, a defender like Italy ever had in the past.
Roma like many of the Series A clubs seem not to let homegrown talent succeed and would rather buy established foreign players. This obviously affects the national side, hence missing the last two world cups.
Calafiori continues the great Italian tradition of great defenders. A glorious centreback.
Carrying the mantle of Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, Bonucci, and Chiellini. Joining him is Bastoni, Buongiorno, and Mancini.
Really spectacular player, as a Roma fan even harder to think that he was let go...
Giorgio Scalvini
Really unfortunate about his injury in the last game of the season, I think he's a gem too.
The machine gets better the longer it runs
Calafiori has the making of greatness in him. He can potential be the next "big" centerback at Italy and make a name for himself similar to chielinni, cannavaro and maldini. My only concern is him picking up another injury. One more big injury at a young age will unfortunately probably lead to a poor career and I feel that having suffered one already leaves him prone to picking up another one
Yeah, I definitely agree that a big concern would be him picking up another serious injury. He's been fairly healthy since that one he suffered as a teenager so I would take that as a sign of encouragement that Calafiori can stay at this level for a while.
bro looks like a vinland saga character
In italy se dont’use “Aura”, we prefer the term “grande Ciola”
😂😂
He should remain with the feet on the ground and everything will be great for him
If he doesn’t join Juventus to reunite with Motta he will flop at arsenal mark my words
Are you a Roma fan by any chance?
Definitely not bro
Yeah I seen how much aura he has when he scored that own goal vs Spain
But he actually was one of the best players for italy that game
ah genio su una palla deviata dal portiere e con la gamba già lanciata per spazzare cosa doveva fare per non parlare della prestazione che è stata comunque ottima
Only attackers and spectators who are far away from their own net never score own goals.
