I AM TRYING TO UPLOAD AT LEAST EVERY OTHER WEEK NOW! I'm hoping to get one video uploaded each week. :) Let's see if I can do it...

I've returned! Issues with your computer and video editing software while the world is going crazy is lots of fun! This is part 1 of "looking back" at videos I have done on my language issues in the past. I really wanted to go back to my first video I made about this and look at comments on it and responses to it. I then figured I could turn it into a 2+ part "series".
Also: about the person not being diagnosed until they were 32; this was the only comment I saw on my video that was like this so I'm hoping you know who you are!
    Please, please do NOT self-diagnose!
Please do not leave rude and disrespectful comments. Any of these comments will be deleted and the user will be reported. I will not have any negativity on my channel.
Do you have any video ideas? Please feel free to comment any ideas for future videos in the comments section and I will be sure to check it out.
Thank you for watching! If you liked the video, please like, comment, and subscribe.

I don't know why a certain comment was removed from my video?? That's frustrating...it had things in there that I would've liked to keep.....and a lovely response! Ugh...anyways, please check the description. Also, I have an eye infection that's giving me immense pain and is swelling my eye up, so I won't be able to film for a few days. I'm HOPING my schedule doesn't get messed up though..

Thank you for posting. My 3 year old son was diagnosed with the same disorder. Unfortunately he no longer qualifies for speech therapy because his issue is not considered “severe” enough. I am hoping he will qualify for services once he starts elementary school. I worry about how this condition will affect his school, work and social life. I already see how his teachers in preschool don’t understand why he won’t listen, even though they know he has this disorder. I get notes home from them all the time about it. It makes me really sad how there seems to be no support for his disability.

Hi Alyssa, thanks for the videos. I'm pretty sure my son whose 15 has a language disorder...I had him to a speech therapist but they didn't diagnose this. I may try a different one. Do you live in Canada (I thought you might, from some of your phrases. I'm in Canada also (NS). Wondered if you can tell me who your speech therapist was? Thanks!

I am actually in the US close to Canada! I have some Canadian family so maybe that’s why. My speech therapist was in Idaho and her name was Claudia. I can’t remember her last name cause it was about 10 years ago now. Keep trying though! My disorder was caught by my first counselor who had me see a psychologist who then tested me. It’s also a bit different today and the disorder I was diagnosed with technically doesn’t exist in the DSM-5 anymore. There’s absolutely still language disorders though so it might be a good thing to look in to more!
