    Thank you for this. You other video was nice because there are hardly any videos on YT, discussing this issue, esp. from a personal point of view. Please continue. 😀

      I agree - please continue. There are so many of us parents out there in the thick of it and it is so encouraging to listen to you articulate yourself so well! I have two children with MERLD (I talked only of my oldest in the comment above). My oldest is speaking so much better now and has a TH-cam channel. You are an inspiration. Thank you.

    Don't know how I came across this. Really appreciate that you made this.
    All of these shared experiences help build greater understanding.

    Thanks for making an effort to advance the awareness in this topic. I would definitely love and appreciate more videos on this subject from you (anyone). It's really valuable for me, as I have no point of reference for my own linguistic problems that I experience daily. Good job, keep it up :) - Laura

    I admire your courage to talk about your language disorder. I saw your first video and you completely described all the problems that my son is having difficulty with. He is 11 and just started 7th grade. He has only been diagnosed with mild autism and adhd but all the issues you described is exactly what he’s going through. How much time did you spend with your speech therapist?

      Thank you. :) I spent about 8 months or so in speech therapy.

    Thank you for making you videos in regards to MERLD. My daughter was diagnosed when she was 2 1/2 but has been in speech therapy since she was 16months. She is 3 now and she speaks much better but her social receptive is still an issue. She’s an only child so she doesn’t get to be around other children often. I’m hoping school will help with that. Please keep giving updates. You rock and I’m proud of you!

    Hi i am 27years old and i can relate to you. I feel like an outcast because each time i try to talk is a challenge for me. No one ever understands me when i talk to them. I get made fun of alot by my coworkers and customers. i try to keep small talk that way no one can figure out that i have speech problems but eventually they catch on.

      I completely understand your struggles...dealing with that kind of thing early on helped to form my most serious issue..still getting the courage to talk about it on video. Don't hesitate to dm if you want to talk more.

    I can understand and relate too. Have you considered hypnosis? Also if you're interested, look into opening the throat chakra (energy vortexes within the body)

      Been thinking about using it for other issues I have as well! The only trouble is finding someone who does it close to where I am. Thanks for your suggestion! (sorry for the late response)

    My son has a speech delay of mixed receptive and expressive language. He just turned 4. Any advice? I have had him in speech since 18 months. I worry about his future but your videos give me hope. Do you know or have videos of when you were around 4. You speak so well and it is my hope my
    son can talk as much as you one day. God bless.

    I think these days many kids with lanuage disorders are given Autism diagnosis and doesnt seem right. Did you ever think you had ASD but you dont?

    • @BissTheBatCat
      @BissTheBatCat  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I definitely have some similarities to the autism spectrum but I don’t think I’d qualify. The problem with ASD is that it’s such a wide spectrum and some symptoms that align with it could be something completely unrelated. My issues come from this language disorder and the social anxiety and personality symptoms that have come up from that specifically. I never actually thought I had anything like autism. I think people are wrongly diagnosed with autism and related disorders just because it is such a wide spectrum. This and other language disorders are being more thought of as related to autism spectrum disorders in some ways…I don’t know if I agree with that or not but that’s something to think about.
