This is obviously an anti-Putin song, if you dig a little deeper you will know that we have history with Russians but we love them, but Putin or Staljin not so much:) But this is not my reason why I am commenting on this. It's about Slovenia, you have 150000 real estate in Croatia, 1/2 Slovenians visit Croatia every year. Even Josip Broz Tito's mother was Slovenian, show us some love Slovenia, why do we have to be so hard on Us:) I don't mean on a personal level, because I was in Slovenia, and you're so nice, but on a political level, you are so hard on us:) Show some love in politics:) Even nowadays, when we all are together in the EU, NATO, Schengen, still have Slovenian army on our territory. Well OK if this is the way it should make you feel more comfortable about Croatia no problem, but please show Us some love in politics:)
I am from Croatia. When I first heard the song I thought it was rubbish. Then I listened to it a few more times. After the third time, I understood what the writer was trying to say. They criticize the war in Ukraine, call Putin a little crocodile psychopath and the message is totally true. You had to have the balls to do this. And not like Ireland. No balls. Cameltoe.

Let3 is like a musical/rock/punk Monthy Python. After shock, humor and confusion people do some reasarch and realise there is actually a lot of thought behind their madness.
I understand their choices but since I don't speak Croatian, I really wished they would have used English. I think that this is such an important song and I am sad that a lot of Europe missed out on the depth of the visually "funny" act.
It's always good to laugh. A big thank you to LET 3. Mama ŠČ gave a fierce critique, but at the same time, it radiates a lot of positive energy, which can only cause one thing in these dire times: CATHARSIS !!! Podrška iz Budimpešte
There's a TH-cam comment that explaines well the meaning of this song: "As a Croat who understands lyrics, I would also like to provide an additional interpretation of the first two verses. So the first verse goes "Mama kupila traktora", and it actually doesn't literally decode to Lukashenko buying a tractor to Putin, but to Russia "buying"/bribing Belarus and establishing control over Belarus. That's because "kupila" translates to "she bought". Also, беларус (=Belarus) is the best selling model of tractor in Belarus, and this makes the parody more more apparent. This interpretation is important for understanding the second verse "Armageddon nona", which is harder to understand. "Nona" in Croatian means grandmother. So if "mama" Russia, then "nona" = "Soviet Union". This makes more sense if you consider that Russia "bought" Belarus, and has now transformed itself into new Soviet Union who wants to be an empire (armageddon nona). Finally the nonsensical spelling of alphabet letters in the middle of the song actually represents unification of (Soviet) states into new Soviet Union, which is now represented with a new symbol "§C'. Also "SC" is parody of letter "Z" which you can now see on Russian tanks deployed in Ukraine. Despite being punk rockers, Let 3 are known in Croatia and ex-Yugoslav states for their unique punk rock style and deep symbolism. Their main member Mrle also writes texts for theatre plays, which is also worth pointing out. So the whole performance must be taken into account while interpreting it, because this isn't a song you can listen to on radio, but a mini opera that makes a parody of horrors of totalitarianism" Krokodilski psihopat - crocodile is a very widespread drug in Russia which turns people into zombies. The message is that we're on your side and against all wars, Ukraine!

I think you understood the message well. Honestly, if Let 3 applied for the Croatian representative at Eurovision for 5 years in a row, the Croats would probably send him, but we are delighted that they applied this year as well. At least 90% of Croats are not delighted with the songs at the Eurovision Song Contest at least for the last 15-20 years, but it's stupid for us not to participate, and singers that Croats love rarely apply. This is an anti-war song, but also a Croatian rebuke of what is happening to the songs of Europe
@@TurinStark5 you must be joking. Not that the mainstream songs are great, but the Eurosong songs are a disaster, to put it mildly, and they still represent their countries. But ok, we don't need to discuss about tastes

Hello from Croatia! Most importantly, this is an anti-war, anti-dictatorship song. A mockery, but when you understand it, very serious song about very serious things. Every word, every move, dance, coreography is here with meaning. It`s about current mess and circus in the world, about crazy politicians etc etc. I can write whole bible here, but some important parts are: "Mama kupila traktora" (Mom bought a tractor) is reffering to Putin`s gift to Lukashenko. "Onaj mali psihopat" (That little ville psychophat) is Putin. "Mama idem u rat!" (Mom I`m going to war!). Guy in the black dress with words "NJINLE" written on his forehead...well, in reverse on Croatian languange is Lenjin, English Lenin. And you certainly understand what nuclear rockets means.
