The Doctor is Stuart Whitman... an Oscar nominated actor... and now he's in this movie... the pain was real.
He died with 50 million dollars! He was one of the best investors in Hollywood.. there was no reason for him to even be in this thing!
There was no way they could pay him enough to do this if he didn’t want to…

That what happens when you hire a pro. Stuart Whitman was Best Actor nominee in 1961 Academy Awards and got his star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1998. This man CAN deliver.
@@Rotionu He was the only actual good actor in this pile. I exclude Adam West, even though he could be good when he wanted to be, because it was so obvious he was hammered and didn't give AF and was doing this for a paycheck.
In the mid-00s, Walmart had these bins filled with slim-cased $1 DVDs. That's where I got this, and it's sequel, Karate Cop. Along with a bunch of other terrible action and horror flicks.
Pity we never got Ninja Cop. Marcini was something else.

Adam West is also in 'Zombie Nightmare' which stars Thor (from 'Rock n Roll Nightmare'). Yes, the MST3K crew riffed 'Zombie Nightmare' long ago, but SBIG would have a blast with it as well. Another awesome episode. Keep up the great work!

Well, it features Thor. Also has a short a ppearance of the little kid from Rock and Roll Nightmare as Thor as a six year old. He was the director's step-son. Godd Bad or Bad Bad did interviews with him when they reviewed both movies.

There's this channel called Cool Classics, and he made a pretty good mini documentary on Burt Ward. It's like 27 minutes or so, definitely worth watching or even just listening to.
Part of it tells about how he and Adam West would go around the country promoting Batman, staying in a bunch of hotels and sleeping with women they'd met along the way(Burt was 19 at the time).
One of those times, the woman Burt was with was actually married. He didn't know...but her husband knew about them and tracked them to the hotel. Burt ended up running out of the room butt naked. Adam helped him out of that situation and made sure he was more careful moving forward.
I say all that to say this...I absolutely believe Adam West was drunk as phuck many times during the filming of this movie 😂

Apparently, Burt Ward had a HUGE member, per Gilbert Gottfried. I've heard him mention this more than once. They had to try and wrap it down, so it wasn't so obvious wearing those little tights during the show. 😆
@@Fluoride_Jones The people on top at the network got him to take pills to shrink his johnson because some church group was offended. True story, same channel covered it😂.
He took them a few times and then stopped. Adam had his back, helped get the network to stop trying to get him to take those pills.

@@JasonBrant I know far too many disturbing facts. If you're ever so inclined, you should check out episodes of Gilbert's podcast from before he passed away. It was called, "Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast." He would interview celebrities, but often celebrities from previous generations, like Dick Van Dyke.
He had also interviewed Adam West, and I believe they discussed Burt Ward's python. The best was his interview with Bruce Valanch. He helped write the "Star Wars Holiday Special," and explained that process. You can find it here on TH-cam. 👍
Ron was my karate instructor in Stockton, Ca back in the 80s and 90s and Chris Ost (the half face paint guy) was one of the other senseis at Renbukai. All the students got to go to a private premier. The movie is awful, but it was so cool to know a martial arts "movie star" both Ron and Chris are legit competition chanpions tho 😁😁👍🤘🤘
Also, Ron made a bunch of these low budget films...this was his big budget one 😆

If you guys are looking for more vanity project movies, I'd recommend Honorable Men. It's got all the hallmarks of a vanity project: The writer/producer/star is the same dude and every woman wants him despite him being a middle-aged man with a dad bod.
I don't think I have a copy of that one yet, but I'll add it to the watchlist.
@@JasonBrant Also if you are interested in another So Bad it's Good cop movie, then I'd also recommend Satan Killer. The funny thing is that the guy who made Satan Killer is the brother of the guy who made Honorable Men.

Apparently Ron Marchini used to be considered one of the best Karate fighters of all time…Chuck Norris said he was his most difficult opponent. Hard to believe he’s only 44 years old in this movie!

The ''drunk'' guy got hit by a solar flare , apperently when you get hit by a solar flare its equal to drinking 3.1 bottles of wodka.

OMG this review so much fun. Champagne & Bullets is my all time favorite, but this belongs to the top. Using wigs to reduce the cast. The MC really running, the harem cheering as he jumped into the water. Your commentary on the doc & chicks was hilarious. People should produce more bad movies.
Also collecting harem of nice girls on your journey is basically modern isekai.
To me there's no topping the Barbarians. It's the one I go back every so often to rewatch and it is as funny as the first time.
Well, that movie has John De Hart singing, there is no way Omega Cop could compete with that.

But the semi-amateur production have that SBIG charm.
The weird expression gone to pot came about during the 16th century and was originally used to point to the lesser parts of meat being cut up to be cooked in a pot for soups and stews.
The dude in white who puts the gun (Browning Hi Power) to his head when the girls are yapping is Stuart Whitman. The man was in a TON of movies and TV shows for decades. It is sad he was in this and seems that scene might have been closer to the heart for him in the moment.
The doctor stole the movie. The scene with him fingering his gun was hilarious.

The actor playing the suicidal doctor was Stuart Whitman. He was in an actual good movie with John Wayne back in the day called The Comancheros. It's definitely worth watching if you like westerns. He also was in the syndicated 1988 Superboy TV series as Jonathan Kent. What the hell was he doing in this film?!
If Neil Breen is the king of the vanity project, then Ron Marchini is heir to the throne. The complete lack of introspection or self-appraisal really elevate their films in the bad-good genre.
Adam West knew what a trainwreck of a film this was going to be, so naturally he had to drink himself silly to get through it, like Bob Hoskins with the Mario film.
In the late 60's, Marchini was one of the top rated karate fighters in the U.S.

Ron Marchini was the best Karate Martial Artist in the late 60s and early 70s and according to Chuck Nortis, he gave him his toughest fight back then.

The title "Omega Cop" seems to be a reference to "The Omega Man" with Charlton Heston (based on the same story as Will Smith's "I Am Legend"). It's a post-apocalyptic movie where Heston plays one of the last surviving humans who finds himself besieged by night active, vampiric, but intelligent mutants. I would think the "not-zombies" are meant to reference those creatures. Look at me, I'm analyzing a movie made on a budget of 25K and a couple of six packs.
