VOIP phone accordingly are becoming popular? But where are they displayed and sold? Everywhere I can still see all around the proliferations of the I Phone, Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi, Plus One, Huawei, Realme, Motorola, Honor and a lot more, there is REALLY NO VOIP PHONE Anywhere !! Just wondering ??? Thank you.
Hi there, we've got some awesome VoIP phones displayed and sold on our website here! 👉 www.nextiva.com/phones Important to note though, you'll need a VoIP service in order for these phones to make and receive calls. Luckily, we've got that too, just give us a call at (800) 799-0600.
Hey there! 2-factor authentication is supported on VoIP with a 10DLC. We recommend checking with the specific bank to ensure 2FA compatibility. Check out our blog on 10DLC for compliances and setup: www.nextiva.com/blog/what-is-a2p-10dlc.html
Hey there! A smartphone using wifi only can still make VoIP based calls using the appropriate app (we've got one here: www.nextiva.com/app). This doesn't require a cellular network if one isn't available, and it gives the user the flexibility to work from anywhere using wifi.
Hey Aliu, the experience may vary by provider, but the general expectation would be the recipient seeing a +1 and then the caller's number. If you need help calling the UK from the US, we have a video that walks through how to do that here: th-cam.com/video/CZjxE2ReoD8/w-d-xo.html. Thank you for the question!
Hey @@don9100, yep, the country code for UK is +44! We have a video showing how to make outbound calls from the US to the UK here: th-cam.com/video/CZjxE2ReoD8/w-d-xo.html
Internet based products are great until you are visited by a hurricane, tornado, flood, or any other situation that causes internet access to be nonexistant. The worse thing I did was get rid of my hardwired phone service. Some things just can't be replaced with tech.
We're sorry to hear about your experience. Nextiva offers call forwarding and an amazing smartphone app that will keep businesses as usual- even if the weather is not. Check out this great article on how cloud phone systems can respond to internet/power outages: www.nextiva.com/blog/voip-power-outage.html
Hey there, the short answer is yes! If you are making a phone call over the internet, the underlying technology is VoIP as opposed to traditional landlines.
If I'm somewhere where there's no cellular phone operator range, but I have access to the Internet, and a phone that uses Voip, can I still just use my REGULAR phone number, and make a phone call still using my REGULAR phone number, and the person I'm calling to will not even realize any difference, because they see my regular phone number on theirs screen? Don't you dare to misunderstand me!
But I think VOIP won't work for my banks. They insist on a number affiliated with a particular device (IMEI?) don't they? I have a problem travelling every few weeks between different countries and constantly changing SIMs (because roaming is too expensive). So even VOIPS won't solve my problem, I think. I want to have a stable number for banking. But apps and push notifications and all that is more complicated and restrictive. I hope you are going to tell me that I am wrong and VOIP is a panacea for hobos on a budget who want to be connected to governments and banks on their own terms.
Hey there! VoIP is able to work without the use of cellular networks while abroad if your devices have access to the internet/WiFi. This is known as "WiFi calling," and we have a video about it here: th-cam.com/video/uukAfCX5e9A/w-d-xo.html. Otherwise, we recommend checking with experts in your industry regarding rules and regulations around telecommunications.

Would be nice if the X-815 had some kind of programming manual. $300 phone that I can't even program. Total garbage.
