Jimmy Russel!! That's exactly what happened!! We were randomly interviewed in the street about our thoughts on the "improvements" then several months later a friend posted the video on my FB wall along with "um, is this you?" I don't think I've ever laughed as long and as hard as when I watched it the first time :D (I'm the nerdy guy in the glasses)
You do more than get an excellent music track going, you get the ESSENCE of what you are capturing. This FELT like a bustling city. This talent you have is amazing.
I am currently in love with "heaps of cars...not enough space... nightmare...terrace....knocking down nice old stufff" guy, aka Heath...he is a LEGEND....get yourself to Perth to look at his FACE!!!!!!
I remember obsessively listening to this the month it came out, specifically that New Years Eve/Day. Pogo was an uncanny constant in my late childhood (2010 on), it's scary to see this so many years later and to look back at that moment in time versus where I am now. May this music never die.
This made me think of some musician lads I havent thoutht of in a very long time, Kraftwerk! I love how Pogo does his own brilliant thing yet it manages to call back to memories I havent had in years.
Wow the voices go super well with the music, especially the man who says something along the lines of "I find-ripped up slowly" and the woman who says "bigger." Nicely done as usual, Pogo!
First Guy (@0.0.40) in his mid to late 20's is from Perth named Heath Marshall (see comments below. he has a tint of of an Irish Accent). The Next guy (@0.0.40) is English (grew up Lower working class - south England). Elder guy (@0.0.45) is Australia, (probably Perth). Girl (@0.0.46) is Australian Perth and the "Hey" guys are probably from Perth. The Pigeon is rumoured to be a Perthtonion & Australian, but alleged to be an immigrant by some. The Beak picking sounds of Down under pigeons are so similar to Northern Pigeons accents, which makes it difficult to determined accent picked up from youth. *Words to the music*: Heaps of Cars, Not Enough Space, Heaps of Cars, Heaps of Cars, Not Enough Space, Nightmare, Heaps Of Cars, Cars , cars, cars...Hey I Find Ripped Up Slowly, Takes a Long Time, I Find. Nightmare, Toast! Gotta Go on, Ramp Bigger, Gotta Go on, Ramp Bigger, Gotta Go on, Big-Bigger Ahhmm... Knocking Down Nice Old Stuff..... Development, I Think, Development, Thin' Think, Development, I Think... Heaps Of Cars, Not Enough Space.. Heaps of Cars, Heaps of Cars,.. not enough space. Nightmare, Heaps of Cars... Cars , cars, cars. I Find Ripped Up Slowly.. Takes a Long Time. I Find. Nightmare, Toast! Gotta Go on, Ramped Bigger, Gotta Go on, Ramped Bigger, Gotta Go on, Big-Bigger Ahhmm... Knocking Down Nice Old Stuff..... I Find Ripped Up Slowly. Takes a Long Time. I Find. Nightmare, Toast! Gotta Go on, Ramped Bigger, Gotta Go on, Ramped Bigger, Gotta Go on, Big-Bigger Ahhmm... Knocking Down Nice Old Stuff..... Hey.
I really like 00:54 - 1:00, I wish there was a little bit more of that. It may not be one of your most famous mixes, but this is in my top 5 favorites of yours, Pogo. :)
Man that "solo" starting at 0:39 just reminds me so much of the era of Technicolor. Just so lovely and lively! Full of life and bloom. That's what the era of Technicolor was to me when I was kid. :D
The pigeon head was sick. Also the audio from the bus and the firetruck was impressive. And the fast forward motion of mobile traffic on the sidewalk, gotta love that fast city style look.
I really like this. Having made a few corporate vids in my time I know how difficult it can be to make something engaging and watchable. You've done a great job with this. It's one of my favourite videos of yours. Keep up the great work. CN
Haha living in Perth makes this remix hit home. It's a perfect representation of the madness of this small town. Too many cars, not enough space sums it up nicely
I think I've gone through all of your video and have replayed them in-- God I don't even know how long I've been listening to these videos.. However I wish you the best! I also hope you make more videos and get to travel more! :D
Nick is like the real life August Rush, he can make music out of literally anything. Basically, in other words, he's doing the impossible. Congrats man.
I love that you just get out and create. I need to get out more. This was wonderful. And I also love that all of your videos, while are made of soundbites, still have a unique sound that's all your own.
I've just got to give an official thanks to pogo, not only for the music he's made that i haven't been able to get anywhere else - but for inspiring other people to make music in the same style, broading my source of joy. thank you, pogo!
When those synths come in this song has such a nice old vibe to it. Like around 70-80 electronic music. Reminds me of old Daft Punk and Technicolor. :)
I am from Perth, what the people are saying in bits is completely true. Awesome remix, can't believe you were here (no-one EVER comes to Perth, we're usually just skipped)
That guy saying "Gotta go" I wish there were more of him in this vid, his voice sounds so epic. XD But really, this is one of my favorites of your music vids. Such an awesome sound. :-)
I love the direction you went in with this track pogo. It's certainly different and I know there are a few people who disliked it for reasons such as repetitiveness and "annoyingness" (what?) but here's one fan who says, well done, mate. this is a bloody brilliant piece and on the whole, a very harmonious sound and rhythm. Great effort
You prove that anything can be turned into music. Once again, Amazing. You are an idol to people of all ages. Including me, Your 14 year old biggest fan. Thank you so much, Pogo.
i love this so much your so cool and its nice to see someone thats so talented and popular on youtube thats Australian and i used o live like ten minutes away from St. George's Terrace and spend heaps of time there, so its like seeing my old home again but in cooler kinda way :)
Jimmy Russel!! That's exactly what happened!! We were randomly interviewed in the street about our thoughts on the "improvements" then several months later a friend posted the video on my FB wall along with "um, is this you?"

Congrats!
Has Nick seen this comment?

5 years and later and its still underrated!
You do more than get an excellent music track going, you get the ESSENCE of what you are capturing. This FELT like a bustling city. This talent you have is amazing.

Went to Perth last month and put this on as I drove down St George Terrace
0:40-1:00 I know you feel it too.
Those synths though. Wow.
i feel it more in 0:25-0:38
Love those synth rifts.
Oh God yes
I feel it more in 0:00-2:08.

EASILY your most underrated video! Had to throw that out there.
So true, I'm shocked this still hasn't hit the half million mark at least.
Wow the voices go super well with the music, especially the man who says something along the lines of "I find-ripped up slowly" and the woman who says "bigger." Nicely done as usual, Pogo!
My favourite part is 0:53-1:00
I love how he goes between plunderphponics and YTPMV sampling. Never change, Nick.😊😊

Hey.
Bit guessy, and rude.
It's Perth humour, I doubt he meant anything badly by it.
2nd guy is definitely not English
Damn, you broke down the system.
You are too funny XD
And they never even once suspected they'd be lead vocals in the newest Prodigy hit.
I really like 00:54 - 1:00, I wish there was a little bit more of that.

I swear to god his voice + the music are so perfect together. But honestly, his voice is just the right amount of "rough"
This generally one of my favorite videos on the internet. The accents and the editing are just so perfect.
Man, I'm just now finding this, it's amazing! There's a certain feeling when it comes to music and mashups like this, like a hopeful unification.
I don't think you realize just yet how amazing you and your music is... Thank you for sharing your music and talent with everyone around the world!!
Damn I first heard this 10 years ago. I’m old af
i love the change in tone between this video and the more calm exotic and quiet places he makes songs about
I always wonder who's going around disliking Pogo videos. They're all brilliant, and this is a particularly amazing example of his work.
Good heavens. I love those synths you used.
CN
jeeze man! these city remix's are just so wonderful! Keep em coming!
I used to study in Perth and there's this one comic book shop that you have to go underground, it's my favorite place in the city...
I just listened to this 20 times in a row.
it only gets better each time.
I live just north of Perth and in the suburbs and when I visit the city it is amazing! The traffic light noises sound call in Western Australia
0:38 is where it gets amazing. That guys accent is to die for
Repping Perth!! I saw you play live at the Llama Bar in Subiaco many years ago; you were amazing to watch!
I've watched this video a thousand times and it makes me want to visit Australia even more. Everyone looks so nice and friendly.
The chorus is sooooooo catchy, I can't stop listening to it.
Haha living in Perth makes this remix hit home. It's a perfect representation of the madness of this small town. Too many cars, not enough space sums it up nicely
Why isn’t this on Spotify!
Or Soundcloud 😭😪... its one of my favorites from him
A lot of his best songs aren't there. 😢
I think I've gone through all of your video and have replayed them in-- God I don't even know how long I've been listening to these videos.. However I wish you the best! I also hope you make more videos and get to travel more! :D

I'm not in Perth at the moment, but i spent ~18 months of the last 24 there. Love that place. Nice to have a Home grown video again.
I like the beak bashing pigeon and the grp that say "hey!" even the "i find", and "bigger ah" partz :3 the whole song iz awesome
pogo, i'm glad you decided to give this piece a higher tempo and different feel than your usual. it shows how you are versatile with your style
Only pogo could take random sound on the street and turn them into a masterpiece.
You're truly a genius Pogo ! Please give us more vibes like this one
views mean NOTHING with genius like this. so glad i know about this guy
I LOVE THE TUNE!
You never fail to amazes us Pogo!

Great sound and video! This music is a another view of the world. Thank you, Pogo! :)
Ahh, my beautiful home city. How I love you for doing this Nick!
Amazing as always, I love how this music have that 'urban' feeling.
Some of the sounds made it sound like industrial music which is awesome.
I love watching the facial expressions
When those synths come in this song has such a nice old vibe to it. Like around 70-80 electronic music. Reminds me of old Daft Punk and Technicolor. :)

Lovely! Your uptempo's are as perfect as the disney remixes! more of those!
This quick and 'dark' disco depicts the urban life, in contrast to your other songs, extremely well! Added to my faves!
So Amazing.
I love the contrast in darkness from this piece compared to your other work.
The dude with the scruffy beard shadow at the beginning - Love his grin. :P And, as usual, Pogo - you never disappoint.
these people are so lucky to be in Pogo's song & video :')
love the new kinda dance style...sweet beat..even sweeter chorus...keep em coming fella.

You prove that anything can be turned into music.

Another pinnacle of art in video form.

I'm from Australia, and I approve this video.
wow, this one is really good!it's almost clubmusic. your musical spectrum is unlimited!
This is different from his other stuff, but in a good way. It shows that he's got range.
