    The first months and first year is the most expensive cause you have to figure everything out. I am lucky that i have my chinese wife. She orders lots of stuff for us online which saves us money. I think one of the biggest reason living in china is so expensive for foreigners is that many still want to eat burgers and stake, and drink foreign beer and that often in foreign restaurants or those which cater to foreigners.

    Interesting video. Shenzhen seems so expensive. What do you get paid a month? Why choose Shenzhen over other more inland or more northern cities?

    • @FromDkWithLove
      @FromDkWithLove 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Is it? It's my first time watching a budgeting video from that region and what struck me was how cheap everything was. 50-70% cheaper than anywhere in Northern Europe on literally everything.

      @@leanlifer I know. I live there.😅Scandinavia to be slightly more exact. Rest of the world seems to be catching up though, at least in terms of housing and rent costs in major cities... homeless people in the US and Canada can attest to that in ever increasing numbers... being poor in a rich country only sucks doubly so.

      @@FromDkWithLove Unlike most places, the cost of living in China have been maintaining at the same level for the past 4 years. It's not a good thing for most companies, businesses, and stock markets. But could be a good thing for people with a low income, at least for now.
      The Chinese government didn't give its people loads of subsidies during Covid, so there have been no inflation. However, the overall economy did get a huge hit and we don't know when will it fully recover.

      Not here in New Mexico lol I live on 1300$ a month as a whole my rent is 600$ 35 extra for parking but I mite get rid of that so I can go back to 600$ everything included washer and dryer modern apartment all utilities except electricity I pay that out of pocket and internet which just runs be up over 700$ a month the rest is just food and what ever I want …I live a cheap life here in New Mexico I dono why some people think all of the U.S is expensive I would say most but not all ….New Mexico is definitely one place to stretch your dollar just a little bit sadly nothing compares to overseas …..Im also living in central downtown New Mexico Albuquerque City which would be equivalent to New York City ……
