@@Ychinamedia uhmmm…. the lie that you need a VPN just to say ‘hello’ to your loved ones outside of China, or to see this very video because of the Great Firewall? Yeah, that one. MY DREAM IS RESTORED! I'm planning on coming to China for a few months next fall, and I have been somewhat discouraged lately. This video has brought back my excitement in planning for my trip! Thank you! ❤❤❤
You may want to download a VPN app before you enter China as many widely used western apps (Google, Facebook, & etc) did not work inside China without a VPN and downloading the VPN inside China may be against its law or very hard to do; otherwise, the International Data Roaming with your "non-Chinese" SIM card and phone number may allow you to access some "blocked" websites and apps (no guartee though).
@@alyvarin1106actually,it is not 「against law」that「using vpn」but 「against law」with using 「unapproval vpn」,but, since most of vpn product is not really approve in china,u know XD
I love this video :) I went to china for the first time back in June with my bf, we went for 3 weeks to Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, Shenzhen & Hangzhou! Since I've been obsessed with china for so long, I've done a lot of research before I went. We ordered KFC onto the train, I was paying with my alipay most places, had my simcard with 5g ready to go! My bf handled all of the didi/restaurant transactions because it was a bit too complicated for me but I'm going again in November and I'm so excited to be more independent :D Honestly for all the travel we did in a short time, it was the most stress free, SUPER convenient and easy to get around, I love it! Also!! I was on the same boat ride you show in Hangzhou on the lake :D I'll be posting a video in the coming week about it ^^
Can you share a bit more how you obtained your prepaid sim card before coming to mainland China? E-sim is not compatible on all phones. I don't feel comfortable flying to China and not being already connected on the ground.
On Amy's takeout food bag, it was written: "During the day, it was forced to open for business, and late at night, it was the main arena for the soul. She is a genuine local.
China is vast and beautiful. This video set right about the prejudice and misconception about China. It will inspire Western foreigners to visit there and feel the people, cultures and food and different vibes of every city. Most will love and stay. It is very heartwarming to see peace and friendships through cultural exchanges instead of exchanging bullets and missiles. China promotes humanity to the world.
Lol meanwhile I flew to China with no sim card, no apps and no idea 😂 luckily Chinese people are super kind and willing to help, otherwise I would have been very lost haha

FYI, paper-based train tickets are only for financial uses, you don't need the tickets to get on board. You just need to scan your ID at boarding gate of railway station.
When living in China, it is recommended to live near the Bamboo Sea in Nanshan, Jiangsu, or near the Shunan Bamboo Sea in Sichuan, or on Hainan Island.
Fantastic video - always wonderful to see Raz and Amy. We haven't been to China for over four years now and things have changed dramatically even in this short period of time - so we found this video very useful for our recent trip to Xi'an (which was a wonderful experience despite it being rather short). Keep these brilliant videos coming ... and hope you (and I) continue to learn more :-)
I took 20k cash RMB from ATM for red pockets to my cousins' kids four years ago during the Chinese New Year, few thousands were left to use, and I still have them in the closet untouched.🤣 Nowadays even red pockets become electronic.

Fantastic collaboration between 2 leading western TH-camrs in China! Just can't imagine the amount of hard work that went into this. Thank you!! :) By the way, for foreigners who can't live without Instagram or WhatsApp, which VPN service would you recommend? Thanks :)

Hey! Glad that the algo pushed this video to me. Are you guys based in Hangzhou? I'm heading to China next month (Hangzhou-Suzhou-Shanghai); and I must say this video is really useful!
@3:28 Amy says you've got your tourist visa but forgot to say how long you can stay with that tourist visa. 3 months? 6 months? I went to India and lived there for 2 years, the visa was valid for 6 months, and I would just leave the country for some weeks and return with a new 6 mo. visa.
This is what foreigners who want to go to China needs most! More English videos are welcome from your channel!
They leaked so much members only secrets and tricks 😂
Important tip: Amy is completely fluent in 中文,so don't expect your experience in China to be as pleasant as hers if you don't know 中文。
