    People are crappy. If he had a puller this would have been a little easier. Go price a puller...go price a shop.... this is a $10 way to get this done and not a thing wrong with it. Thanks for posting

    I was able to cut the rubber with a pair of snips, little easier than the smoking wheel of death! I just got here because I learned a fun fact. Welding a chunk of metal to the bearing for something to smack with a big hammer seems like a good idea - don't. The race breaks!

    What kind of car did this come off of? I have a 2015 Dodge Charger RT and it seems like the carrier bearing is bad but they don't sell just the bearing, they sell the whole assembly with the drive shafts.

      Watch Steven Cox's video on this. He cut the driveshaft from cutting too deep into the bearing. In my opinion, ruining the driveshaft.

    so the carrier does not have the bearing in it? the carrier and the bearing are 2 different components? am i right about that?

    • @rudyburgin1433
      @rudyburgin1433 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no he bought a wheel bearing and if you noticed he tried installing the cone bearing backwards to the race side...so he went and got a new carrier bearing and installed it. it wouldve worked if he didnt cut up the used rubber and cradle bracket but in the long run he was better off not tryn to jerry rig it.
