Ford F350 had a slight vibration when driving, replaced the Carrier Bearing fix this problem. Loctite 242 - Blue. amzn.to/2NSHE75 Loctite 243 - Blue. amzn.to/2OhUfQU
Im glad to see you had trouble getting your splined shaft together. I too had to clean that blue stuff off the splines good before it would go. What the hell is that blue material. Some kind of cushioning agent?
Wow that looks like it kicked your ass. I'm starting this tomorrow on my 07' F-350. Hopefully it goes smoother. Doing all three U-joints and the rear pinion seal since I have it all apart.
Richard Clasby take some paint or some WhiteOut and mark all the connections so you can put it back exactly the same way you took it apart. I took it off starting at the back of the truck and worked my way forward. I pressed all three u-joints out with my ball joint press. Worked great. Put greaseable ones back in. I grease them at every oil change and have had no issues a year later.
I have a f250 7.3 powerstroke that has a bad vibration most noticeably in the center console vibrating like crazy as well as back of vehicle and I noticed my driveshaft center support bearing is wore out driveshaft has alot of up and down play in it I hope it fixes my vibration problem
Just replaced my center support bearing on my 2001 f250 4x4 all the u joints are good and i had little vibration before. Now that i have the new bearing when i hit around 40mph it feels like im hitting rumble strips
Are the u-joints in line, as in they all point at six o clock at the same time? Also, I recommend checking the ball joints. th-cam.com/video/Y9FdBx40Bkw/w-d-xo.html
Yes the ball joints are good and the u joints are all in line. I took a surface gauge and realized the shaft is warped by 2/16” (the one coming from the transfer case going to the csb) the shaft connecting to that goin to the differential is good. I cant afford the hole shaft but i can afford the 1st one. But im worried if i only got that one it would be un balanced because i think drive shafts are balanced as a hole. Thanks for your feed back and if you have any thoughts or suggestions i would much appreciate them -tyler
Did it vibrat all the time? Or only certain times? I ask cuz my 2002 had 2 incidents recently where I hit a bump or rough freeway and felt like I was going over rumble strip. Didn't shake violently or anything just enough where I noticed but the wife didn't
@@jasonzucco5054 yea i do believe it did vibrate all the time just not much. But before when i would go 75-80mph there would be a really loud whining and a very high frequency vibration in the floor, wheel, throughout the hole truck. Now after changing the bearing it dosent do it at 75 -80 no more its very smooth but not like it should be.
@@jasonzucco5054 and yea i have put 45,k miles on my truck this year so i know what you mean about knowing different sounds it makes. Everyone tells me it sounds normal but i know when something is out of place lok
Nimue, I do believe that the bolt is permanently fastened, it's the nut on the upper side that comes off. If I remember correctly 😁 it's been since 2003 when I replaced mine and now I'm feeling that vibration plus a clunk at a moderate speed and I punch the accelerator just a tad, I can feel the "slack and slap" of the U-bolts. I'm certainly dreading it!
Just changed both rear ujoint and now it starts shaking while going 30mph. My problem used to be cruising at 55 mph. Go figure. Damn. At least the clunk went away.
@@badmatt4227 paid a mechanic to take it out and "fix it" , told me its not that. Even tho i feel like it might be that since it started after the new ujoints just yesterday. Wheels were purchased around March balanced & alignment done. Told me it could be the 4x4 driveshaft, to run it without.
Mine starts to vibrate when I try to jump on the highway and give it hard gas... If I go smooth on the gas it jumps that part and I can go to higher speeds with out shaking. But just in that part of speed where it shakes it does real bad... No so much of a shake but a bbbrrrrrrrrr sounds with hard vibrations! It's scary... Lol
keep making videos man no talking just working I like!!!

How'd yours go? Any suggestions? I'm starting mine tomorrow. Thank you!

Hey brother. Thanks for the video. Did you bang that bearing all the way in? How did it turned out? I am still experiencing vibration
Possibly the rear brake rotors are warped.

did that fix the vibration? my 06 F350 has a nasty vibration from 35mph up to 50 on any acceleration, off the gas pedal it smooths right out.
Easy with a breaker bar , gear puller & 1 1/4" Pipe with cap about 12" long

I had to cut my bolts off my f250 too! talk about bad design of the nut and bolt for the carrier bearing

Are all the u-joints lined up. This helps with the driveshaft balance. Also, maybe see if the tires need balancing.

Any details on the bearing puller used?
Harbor Freight
It looks like you made extensions for the puller?

I have the same problem you figure out the issue?
Does anyone know the torque spec for the 12 mm torx bolts on ends ?
"Center support bearing" (carrier bearing is in the differential)
Wrong....that's called a carrier bearing
@@matthewberthiaume2938 😄 I love it when people think they know what they're talking about, lol 😆 👍👍
No Captain crunch, in the differential that's the pinion bearing 😂
I could be tires to that was what my problem after a tire rotation
With this truck, whole back of the vehicle had a vibration. The Carrier Bearing resolved the problem.
Was the carrier barring " splicer series "
