    My Jeep had been randomly dying and throwing no codes. After a lot of research, and cleaned the throttle body, I decided the crankshaft sensor might be the culprit. Ordered one from Mopar, watched your video and installed my new one. Solved my stalling issue and Jeep is running smooth, shifting right and gas mileage improved now! I have no mechanic experience but just saved myself a lot of money. Thanks for this video!

    I had a similar problem with my 2011 Wrangler. This was a great video to help diagnose and to repair. I am not very mechanically inclined, basic skills, but this video addressed the specific codes,P0339, P0335, and P0300. It took longer to remove because my exhaust was still too warm. It took about 5 minutes to put back in. Thanks TheTopher!

    Thanks for the video! I just had the hesitation with the engine light/traction control mayhem happen yesterday. Watched your video, and bought the part for 21.99 at Autozone. Installing this am. p0339 code was confirmed when I scanned. You should have seen my face though when it went wonky in Phx rush hour traffic lol!

    Best info. Exactly what was happening with our JK. Probably the least expensive part on the JK, Mopar from the dealer, $32.99. Ten minute fi
    x for my 2013. After drive and restart, check engine light went off :)

    My jeep was having trouble with hard starting or not starting and it was throwing a cam sensor code and traction control light. Also was surging some at certain highway speeds. I changed the relay for the fuel pump and it runs like new now. Just in case it happens to your jeep to let you know. Took me a week and 150 $ to figure it out. Thought id share the info with you. Thanks again for the vid man.

    Hi, thanks for the video. I'm changing my sensor out now, question please, how do you get the connector off the sensor? I watched a few other videos as well, and everyone says "just pop it off", but mine is on pretty tight and I don't want to break it. Any thoughts? Thank you!

    Thanks I had the same issue with a manual, would flutter on occasion as soon as I accelerate out of 2nd 3rd for about a week. Finally stalled and got a code PO339, PO300, C121C. Why and how does the traction control and abs code go off?

    • @ovobuzzkill326
      @ovobuzzkill326 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can reset codes by taking the positive battery cables off for about 2 minutes

    How long did the autozone crankshaft position sensor last for you? I’m having the same problem, changed it 4 times in one year, and now yet again having the same problem.

    • @thetopher1126
      @thetopher1126  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Knock on wood, still going with the same one from that video. Sorry you're still having issue, not sure what's going on with that, I guess maybe try the OEM from dealer and see if that's it, hard to believe you've gone through so many and it's the CPS sensors that's the problem.

    Thanks for posting this vid. When I found out the cps was the cause for my check engine light I thought “oh fuck how involved is this repair gonna be, cause this v6 is really packed in here and what do I have to remove to get to this crap.”
    Oh wait it’s right there out in the open, right on bud.

      ahmonguiform Hi, thanks for the question. Here are the 2 codes I got:

    Haha I live in vermont.. I was on the highway going 80 around 3100rpm and saw a cop. Let off the gas and my traction control light and check engine light came on. Threw the code p0369.
    Got a tiny lag when I went to leave the ramp.. so just replace this huh? Factory oem part?
    Also on my jeep to see the code I have to turn the key 3x on and off.. when I got home check engine light is still on but the code is gone.. any idea?

    • @thetopher1126
      @thetopher1126  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nick, thanks for watching. For that code, replacing the CPS should do the trick, I got the part from Autozone. I have a programmer that clears the codes, you could try disconnecting the battery?

      @@thetopher1126 I have a code reader and reset everything. It may be a fluke but ordered 2 crankshaft sensors and a camshaft sensor. Going to play it by ear

      Mopar was my choice, RockAuto has it for about 20 bucks, but duralast is all right when paired with that warranty offered by AutoZone

      No it was P0339, I believe p0394 is for the camshaft position sensor, thanks for the question though, I've added that to the description.
