Linda please don't get rid of any of your treasures they will not take up much space in your loft if you keep them, or maybe find a small space in your bedroom where you could maybe have access to them easily so that you could look at them more. I was married to a horrid man for 24 years, and eventually, I managed to get away from him and leave him, but through me leaving him, I also lost my two beautiful daughters whom he brainwashed against me . Unfortunately the only two things I managed to take from our marital home was my two daughters pink cards which had all their birth details on which were in the bottom of their hospital cribs to identify the child and I also have the two little clips which were placed on their belly buttons. Precious keepsakes. ❤ I feel exactly the same about the dreaded "loft". Drastic measures must be taken! Thanks so much for sharing some of your memories. ❤xx

I know what you mean Linda about stuff in the loft omg when we moved last November it was a huge job 26 years ago of just putting stuff up there. Not really me it’s my hubby he’s terrible says O it might come in handy. I also have a memory box with eclectic things in , I’m betting lots of people do. If you don’t wear the rings have you thought about making them into a pendant. I’ve done that with a few things had my mums , nans, and aunts wedding rings made into 1 ring. Had lots of broken earrings, necklaces etc I kept for sentimental reasons made into a bangle. Great Video as aways . Xx

I'm sorry to hear about your sister darling. When my baby son died at 10 weeks old, I kept the clothes he wore and also the papoose he was in when he died....I found him dead in his cot first thing in the morning. I put the items in a plastic bag, sealed and stored them in my airing cupboard. Every few days I would open the bag and hold it to my face and breathe in the smell of him. One day after doing this for a few months, I opened the bag and held it to my face and there was no scent of him at all and at that moment those things were just clothes and a papoose, he had gone. It allowed me to give them away to a jumble sale once I had laundered them. xxx❤

Hi Rita! It's true, though isn't it? I'm sure your daughter enjoys having the edge over her sibs!!
Thanks for your comment x
Hi Linda, this is so interesting, takes me back when I got married 1987 the amount of things had hanging off my bouquet, horse shoe, chimney sweep (what was that all about 😂😂) a teddy bear and lots of other bits 😂 …….thank you for sharing! ❤xx so sorry you lost your sister❤x
@@helen6477
Hi Helen. Everything has its story, doesn't it?!
Do brides still have that paraphernalia..... I don't think so, I suppose they want the cash instead!!
Thanks for your comment x
You lots of happy memories in your 'treasure trove' Linda. I understand as I have lots of stuff too. It's too hard to get rid of, thanks xx

Thank you Elaine, you're welcome x
Very interesting video, it is amazing the stuff we keep isn't it. I kept all birthday and Anniversary cards for years because they were the padded ones in boxes. I chucked them out when we moved in 2007.
I just looked up your Bournvita mug and on etsy there is one for £95!!
@@dollydaydream5839 No!!! Blimey, £95! Give me
the cash!!!
Thanks Dolly, glad you liked the video x
Hi Linda, really found your video interesting. I have a memory box full of sentimental items and cards etc.One day I suppose my sons will just chuck them away. They’re so precious to me tho’ x
@@juliewigglesworth3964
Exactly, Julie, you're not on your own there x
Loved your stories ❤ And doing a bit of 'Swedish death cleaning' is what I also need to do x
Hi Margaret and thank you x
Loved that video Linda, I keep sentimental things too. So sorry to hear about your sister and I understand why you like to keep everything that you do.
My grandfather's name was Percy, not a name that you hear these days. I have letters which he sent to me when I moved to London at the age of twenty. Precious keepsakes. ❤
I feel exactly the same about the dreaded "loft". Drastic measures must be taken!
Thanks so much for sharing some of your memories. ❤xx
@@sue508
The name Percy isn't making a comeback is it, Sue!!!?
Thank you for your kind words x
@@LindaTee70 Look after yourself and thanks for the laughs too! 😄❤️
Lovely, I did a prune in the winter but some things are just inexplicably dear to me so they are staying, and why not!

Good for you Julia! Thanks for your opinion x

Hi Linda. This was so Interesting. I have kept everything my husband and sons have ever given me in the way of cards and notes. My eldest son is also called Christopher and he is 6'3" now so we are the long and short of it 😅. I am very sentimental about the past 🙂
@@NannyJeano
I am, too Jean. My Christopher is 6'6" ( not that it's a competition!)🤣🤣 X
Hi linda i like your video of your treasured possessions im the same i have my sons first sippy cups and other items from my family that i cant get rid of as they are sentimental to me and things that my son made at nursery and the infants and junior years so thankyou for sharing your things that you have by the way i like the pretty top that you wore have a good week take care x
@@hilaryhaynes2421Thank you Hilary. I don't think we're alone on this x
Xx

I wish I had kept my Ovaltine mug 😂 ❤
Oh first on 😊
I'm sorry to hear about your sister darling.
It allowed me to give them away to a jumble sale once I had laundered them. xxx❤
@@TheNumber1LadiesClub-lf9yc
Oh, Dear Imi. How unbearable for you. I can't imagine your deep pain.
Scents are so evocative and give us comfort, if only for a short time x❤️
