- In this special new video, Jeff Parks travels to beautiful New Brunswick to river fish for smallmouth bass. Probably one of the best-kept fishing "secrets" in Canada, the smallmouth bass fishery in New Brunswick is one of the top in the country. Even better, it is ideal for fly fishers who love moving water and bass fishing. Professional guide, Marlon Prince, guides Jeff Parks to land some truly magnificent smallmouth bass! Hey everyone! Jeff Parks here. Hope you enjoy the show. The Saint John River is an incredible fishery and Marlon Prince is the best of the best!
But you might really like it it's nothing like striped bass fishing in Massachusetts, just endless amount of creeks channels and flats more reminiscent of redfish water
This was a great start to a Saturday morning in Ohio
What a great trip! I need to get up there on the St John with Marlon!!
Awesome video! Pretty amazing that you were able to start this trip on your birthday! Ironically enough I'm watching this on my birthday and wishing that I could be there!
Well Happy Birthday! Yes it was a perfect birthday outing!
JUst finished watching this. I am going to dig out the fly rod for this season and give that a try. Great show.
Good call! Tons of fun!!
Glad it inspired you to dig out the fly rod!
My stomping grounds; grew up on this river
What a great river to grow up on! Lucky
Just watched! You guys put together an amazing episode!
River musky next? Let’s do it haha!
We had a great guide showing us the way😉!
Marlon, tell a bit about your boat!
Hey Brian, lots of memories for me in that rig! Many many days spent learning to fish Muskies with my late father before upgrading to a 20footer to guide in.
It’s a 16’ sylvan Alaskan that sat in the yard for many years before a full renovation last winter getting it rigged as a jet sled/drifter 60/40 merc jet on it now.
