    Hey guys i'm sorry that there is no overhead video in this vid. I tried recording it but the file got corrupted. As i said if you really need to be walked through each step, you can watch an in depth build video like the one below along side my video. th-cam.com/video/XCNO48mbzhs/w-d-xo.html

    I have that same cooler master small case, and the main reason I’m switching cases is because the acrylic scratches so easily, and it is way too small.

    I want to switch my case, my question is...is it necessary to remove the cpu fan from the motherboard? I don't have a thermal paste and I'd need to get one if I remove the fan...is it really necessary? My pc isn't even a gaming pc, just a workstation, want a cooler case though. Thanks!

    • @hardwiredreview
      @hardwiredreview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You don't need to remove the cooler if its only attached to the motherboard. The only time when removing the CPU cooler would be required is when it is an AIO which has fans attached to the case. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps!

    I'm switching my PC case too, I also bought a liquid cooler, when should I install that? Before or after I mount the motherboard in the new case? Thanks!

    • @hardwiredreview

      Definitely mount that after you have installed the motherboard. Thanks for watching!

    • @hardwiredreview

      Yes this vid will help you! Gaming prebuilts are no different transferring compared to regular builds

  • @legokingiscool

    Please help - Im doing this really soon, the original plan is using the same motherboard and transferring it just like this... But I was also thinking about maybe swapping the motherboard out for a new one? Is that safe? Will I have to reinstall windows? Will I lose data? I will hook up the same HDDs and the SSDs (which contain my OS) obviously, please let me know what you think. Will I be fine? Thanks a ton bro

    • @hardwiredreview
      @hardwiredreview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you own a windows license and its stored on those drives which you will be using, I don't see it as a problem. The only time you would lose your windows license is if those drives were wiped. Hope this helped!

      Lol you don't need anti-static equipment as long as you ground yourself prior to working on the parts 😂

    • @hardwiredreview
      @hardwiredreview  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it is an NVME M.2 SSD than yes. If it is just a regular SSD connected through sata cables than I would advice you remove the SSD first. Thanks for the question, hopefully my answer was helpful!

    Whats wrong with a pre build

    • @colinhendry6116
      @colinhendry6116 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some prebuilds are def okay--HP has a Victus 15L model which can have some beefy components. However, their motherboard is a thin green PCB and the RAM has slow speed. Prebuilts always have a weak link somewhere.
      For example, my prebuilt from Ibuypower (2019) has a cheapish water cooler, flimsy network card, and poor case thermals. Although, upgrading these components ends up being a sizeable fraction of the original PC cost.

    I have an issues. After I changed the case the fps in the games got low. Before I always played with fps 200-300. But now it’s not getting higher than 100 (30-70), it feels like I’m lagging. I updated the drivers and tried different stuff, it doesn’t really work. What can the issues be??
