Fitted a single DIN Pioneer stereo with smart sync app to my E90. Very good radio, definitely worth the price. Its now time to get a mad boot build started

can't go wrong with pioneer/kenwood head units. I see all these big touch screen DIN's ppl are using but i don't want that. I just need Bluetooth and RCA jacks!
No enough explanation. What the hell are you doing ?
My radio in my E90 hasn’t got Bluetooth can i buy a radio that has Bluetooth and jobs a gooden ?

Well done matey. I'm about to install a single din in my 330d. This one has canbus and reverse sensors in the kit. Did you notice any difference on sound quality?
Yes mate, a lot clearer, plus with the use of the advanced EQ, a lot better, having said that, I had 4 subs in the boot😂
What was the problem with your standard unit mate. Was it just blank and nob buttons light up when headlights are on
My e90 is doing this too lol all fuses are fine and I have tried unplugging the battery. I guess it is dead
They are common for going. the screen was just blank and rarely played music. This was probs the best thing I did to my BMW. so much more user friendly
@@sammalseed8764 hi mate i know its been a while but iv followed this video and fitted the same head unit did you have a problem with the memory (yellow wire) mine keeps loosing memory after being left for short periods with out ignition, iv tested the wire in the loom but it seems to be on a timer relay and the volts drop slowly until it's under 12v and the stops but then theres not enough power for the memory until i start the engine and the relay kicks back in sorry for the long message but it's doing my head in

Hi I've just tried installing a head unit using a converter harness and won't turn on? Any ideas? New radio only has yellow red black and blue where as the orig bmw head unit has many other colours

You can also run a wire in to the free fuse socket

what setup do you use ? Any link ?
Had the exact same issue when fitting my pioneer head unit. Followed pretty much what you did with cutting into the ignition for the cigarette lighter, but instead routed the other end of the wire into the empty receiver for the ignition pin to save time splicing. Works perfectly, cheers.
Could you possibly explain how to do this would be very appreciated, did you lose your parking sensors?
Sam mate did steering controls work for you after install? volume up and down and skip song etc
No mate you have to buy an extra wiring harness and do more wiring in order to get them working, I didn’t bother

Hi so I've just fitted a kenwood to mine and have now lost my parking sensors did yours do the same or ?

I'm sure all you had to do was swap the red and yellow bullet plugs round on the stereo loom
Well you're wrong then. It wouldn't work like that and believe me i've tried
@@Maxton720 yes I was wrong realised after trying to fit a stereo to my lads BMW, had to take a continuous feed from the fuse box.
Did you have steering controls ?

How much did you pay for that radio and can you give me the old one
