Yeah you’re right and considering that some of the other infected characters have shown that they have some special abilities as well. look at what charmy did in flock together. using the flickeys to cover him and using them as a shield to protect himself. he knew vector was trying to capture him so he had the flickeys swarm vector and espio well also keeping distance between himself and vector. then there’s cheese and chocola. tails was creating the cure in the last minutes dub but then the power went out as we see the cho go for the power generator. the normal zombots we see don’t think like this but for some reason they knew what tails was doing. so they sabotaged him so that he couldn’t finish the cure. then lastly we have shadow I know he got kind of nerfed but in crisis city shadow looks and acts way more aggressive then he usually is and the fact he also shows he’s smarter then regular zombots by specifically going for the evacuation truck shows that the metal virus does more then just turn you into a zombot. maybe the virus leaves certain things in place or it boosts them? like giving charmy cheese and chocola a higher intelligence then normal zombots or giving shadow an hyper aggressive attitude as well as intelligence. so yeah maybe you’re right because we’ve seen it happen before. if it can happen to charmy cheese chocola and shadow. what’s to say it can’t happen to big and froggy? The member tries to warn them but when they look. they see nothing so they just shrug her. she then wonders if she really did see something but then begins to chock it up to lack of sleep but then she notices this zombot still in the distance slowly but surely following them she tries desperately to warn the others but nobody will listen to her. then they start noticing that members of their group starts going messing but they just chock it up to nothing to serious but the weary survivor knows better so everything continues as normal for them until it gets to the point that they run into a hoard of zombots they try to flee but they run into the zombot that’s been following them and he’s clearly not alone as he has a group made of the members that have gone messing behind him the weary survivor finally gets a better look at him and she notices that on his shoulder is a frog. then all they can do now is watch as the zombots close in on them with her last thoughts of being are… why didn’t you listen? @@Ami-Derps-VA thank you for your kind reply. well yes you were right. I wasn’t exactly thinking about it being a video game before. over time though I started to realize that it’d be pretty cool and horrifying for a game. imagine playing as some of the characters such as amy tails cream espio and silver as well as the new IDW characters such as tangle whisper and jewel. they could all have they’re own unique play-styles and levels’ examples like silver only being able to use his telekinetic abilities to fight off zombots as well as trying to save civilians’ Amy having to use her piko hammer to launch herself across waves of zombots and knockdown pilers and other things to create bridges” tails and cream having to fly across hordes in order to get around the area and search for important items and rescue people’ espio having to use his invisibility and stealth skills to maneuver around groups to get across levels’ whisper having to use her wispbin to make trick shots to activate switches and opening other pathways so she other survivors and heroes can get through’ tangle having to use her tail to grapple onto surfaces and also using it like the grapple beam from Metroid dread to pull down doors and other objects for her and other teammates to cross and get through” as well as using it to pick up objects and chuck them at zombots’ and finally jewel having to use her flight like tails and cream to fly around well also using her leader ability to guide survivors safety back to check points’ then we have the zombots themselves” like you said the normal zombots aren’t that big of a deal with there only being three variations’ regular heavy and flying ones but then that’s when the idea of enhanced zombots comes in’ like you’ve mentioned before some campaigns will end sooner then others when a character gets infected’ if that happens or you make a mistake that character will no longer be playable maybe the menu selection screen can have the characters shown on the screen with a green background but when one campaign is completed and the character is infected at the end of that campaign” or you mess up’ a character’s picture will either have a x mark on it and have a red background or the screen will be all distorted and glitched out meaning you can’t be that character again they’re gone. each time you lose a character they’ll come back as an enhanced zombot you’ll have to deal with later. now the enhanced zombots are like we said they’re the infected versions of the characters made more dangerous by the virus and will actively try to hunt you down and infect you’ they can work similarly to the regeneratetor from dead space and the emmis from Metroid dread. they will appear randomly in any mission once one does you’ll have two options either run away or hide from them. once they spawn they will relentlessly chase you until they get to you. there will be some encounters where you will have to fend them off or fight them’ like protecting a group of survivors and covering you’re friends or one is blocking you’re path and you have no way to escape. so you have to find someway to damage them without touching them and each time you do damage you’ll see pieces of them being ripped or knocked off but doesn’t kill them as they’ll just regenerate and pull themselves back together. you can’t kill them so you’ll have to be quick once you’ve damaged them enough’ but no matter where you go the enhanced zombots will always appear at random and you’ll never know when they will or where they’ll appear from. some enhanced zombots can also be counters for some the characters. examples like charmy and the chao being counters to tails cream and jewel shadow being a counter to Amy and silver and big being a counter to espio and whisper because of his navigation ability. I also like to mention that the story can aliterate a little from the main story because I like to think the game would have a choice system where you have to make certain decisions each one affecting the main outcome in some cutscenes and ultimately deciding which ending you get. there can also be three to five different endings based on the decisions you make in each campaign and how many characters get infected including “survivors” it also doesn’t matter characters that were originally not infected in the main comic series are there either’ in this story literally nobody is safe everyone is fair game. even as sonic if you mess up or hit to many zombots or don’t keep his infection in check. if sonic gets infected then you can say goodbye to any chance of getting the true and good ending’ you automatically get the natural or bad ending or if you fail to keep your characters from being infected and let to many survivors get infected. you get the worse ending of you let sonic your other characters and to many survivors fall to the metal virus. overall though I absolutely agree with you I think these would be perfect mechanics for a metal virus video game” I’m sorry I made this long but I just thought I’d share my ideas of how to make a perfect metal virus video game and I hope we can come up with more ideas in the future. but anyways thank you for replying back to me and I’ll see you’ whenever until then you have my respect.
It’s honestly astonishing how oblivious Big was to the whole Metal Virus fiasco. And although his fate before Super Sonic fixed everything was tragic, his innocence kind of cushions the blow (for him, not us)
Actually downright terrifying to see the events of this series in the perspective of everyday people (If you can count Big as "everyday people") Because most people cant really fight back or do anything against such apocalyptic events if they arent the main characters
HOLY SH- That went from adorable and fun with the references from other chapters... butnthat went terrifying REAL quick! Also shows how music and sound effects really help with the experience, and you guys are MASTERS to stuff like this!
I absolutely love the score in this comic. Who would've thought Big's Emerald Coast theme could sound so cinematic or even tragic? I wish we could hear the instrumental by itself.
This was definitely one of the most fun videos to work on, voice wise and mixing wise. And I'm glad people seem to be liking it too. Awesome job on this one, Ryan~
I've been waiting for this! It's a great Big the Cat story. I wish he'd show up in the comics more often. Also his voice actor is spot-on! And the metallic sound creeping over his voice at the end really added to the whole thing.
Yo. The way the music dropped into a dead, serious tone by the middle of the dub sent shivers up my spine. You guys NEVER fail to set the mood in these dubs. Keep it up! 👏 🙌
Okay I know I’m very late to this. But did anyone else notice at 3:27 the infected monkey guy from issue 22 was sneaking past Gemeral while he was distracted with Big? It’s basically implying that Restoration HQ might not have fallen if it wasn’t for Big. That is very dark and I can’t help but love it.
Thats what I like about Bigs Character. Hes a simple guy who minds his own business with his best friend froggie. Hes not the smartest guy in the world but he has great determination and courage and will protect his friends if he has too. Hes very innocent and naive and yet has a big heart. :) Also give your Musician some more luv too! This guy is great at making the Metal Virus Theme! Its so scary yet terrifying at the same time.
Something I love about this one is that, at the start, before the Metal Virus is unleashed, the comic panel dividers(?) are mostly twigs and vines, etc, then when the MV gets released, those twigs and vines are also getting affected. As the Virus spreads in-universe, the dividers also become more metallic, until, by the end, they're almost completely corrupted. Another great instance of some very subtle storytelling from the IDW Team there.
I love how Big can just manage to be in the strangest places with no rhyme or reason besides Froggy, or just because. He truly is a god among men. It's a stretch, but I think it's one of his special abilities.
The scene at 4:34 reminds me how double sided a terrifying fate for Big to get caught in the Metal Virus is. Not only is he the purest character and him getting caught is devastating (I had to turn the video off and cry), but can you imagine how badly this arc couldve went for Sonic and his friends if Infected Big found them sooner? They would've never survived.........
I love how big obliviously walks perfectly fine through everything and just finds himself everywhere where the characters are at just the right time and is unaffected by anything except Froggy leaving him. He just stands there unaffected while everyone else is having an emotional story the metal virus is one of the best sonic story’s ever, big is just there and like, oh there were scary monsters but that’s okay because im with my best buddy fwoggy
That poor gentle giant, oblivious and unaware and yet still as dated as the rest who were infected. This was a heart breaker and made more so by the talent of HyoerVoiceActing. Congratulations on some astounding work.
please do continue this series, and it would be really cool if you covered more sonic comic book series. I will gladly stick around till the very last issue of the IDW series and hopefully if you do more sonic comic book series. keep up the good work
Man, HyperVoicingActing, how do you do pull of such a charming Big voice? It was very sweet all the way through -- really want to hug him. Great work, everyone at AD!
My reactions in this were- 1: Aw..Big is just so wholesome. 2: Ok...So he was there during the metal virus saga, at least he didn't get hurt. 3: OH MY GOSH, BIG, NO!!
Having read this and being wowed by like all the references to previous issues, it still gave me chills when I slowly realized the grim fate that was steadily approaching Big. . .and then I saw this and damn were those chills amplified. It hurt more, not because I knew what was going to happen, but from the beautiful way that this video was edited to create even more emotion than what I read in the comics. It's so beautiful, guys, I love it, definitely keep up the fantastic work!!
this is devastating, Big's innocence really shines through all the chaos, even in the safe zone where everyone gathered before Charmy broke loose... and he FOUGHT for his best friend?? chilling.
A story of a bystander in this universe that had only a single compassion in this world. Overcoming all odds, good, bad, bleak, and horrible. To be reunited with his friend, but then have both there lives, essentially, be taken away. You know, I’m with Sonic in saying that Mr. Tinker would have been nice to stay, but I’m also with Shadow and Espio on a long run to say that he either should have been turned in to PRISON or be on trial as Eggman, amnesia is not a dodge for punishment.
2:43, 3:11, 3:40, 4:17, 4:41 These shots right here... Moments like these are what stick with you when reading this comic. Can we also take a second to appreciate how the comic starts and ends on the same view.
Another good dub guys. You really don’t get wnough credit. You are very good at this. Felt a bit sad for Big though. He goes through all that trouble and ends up sick. Poor guy. Still, looking forward to the next dub. I still want to hear Scrillow’s take on Whisper’s scene in the Battle for Spiral Hill.
I truly feel bad for Big. It was such a heartwarming story about him just wanting to find Froggy again. The ending is just truly tragic and heart wrenching since he not only was aware of the planet wide crisis going on but he didn’t even have any idea that he was infected too.
They had me i the first half, but, man!! No way you turned my main man Big into a zombot!!?! Gtfo! I need to hear how this ends! Here's hoping you all continue to do your dubs of the metal virus Saga. Haven't seen one in awhile, hope all is well.
One thing I'll say is that big has to be such an adored sonic character but seeing him protect froggy was heartwarming, But seeing him still be happy to be at his home made me sad.
That was amazing I really enjoyed watching this. Big the cat voice just sound exactly the same In the games. The voice acting for Big the cat was amazing and all other voice actors as well. Amazing work guys 😊👍
@@HypeVoiceActing Your very welcome 😊 You voice Big the cat so well and talented. You got a great work of Sonic team dub voice actors dubbing the IDW Sonic comics. Great work everyone 😊👍
It was so wholesome and then it got so creepy. For some reason this is the issue that really scares me a little. I think it’s because it’s like watching the world vanish as an outsider, rather than through the eyes of heroes who are trying to save it. It seems hopeless if you aren’t privy to what’s going on with Sonic and co.
Chills, shivers, I feel them in m timbers, I swear the end got me just bigs blank eyes petting metallic froggy while being roboticized and looking at a dystopian landscape
I know the whole running theme of Big is that he's always everywhere but rarely ever seen, but it does confuse me that Amy and Cream never once mention Big, like at all not a word of his safety or anything. Also a shame he didn't get a major appearance or acknowledgement as a zombot, I imagine that would have been quite the shock in the main story.
Poor guy.. nobody really cared to tell him what was going on, and he was only focused on finding froggy, tangling up zombots in the process. He was getting infected too without knowing. The shots of zombots were sending chills down my spine, and the music sent more chills.
I find this to be a perfect way of showcasing just how inescapable the virus is. Distant as Big is to the cast, comic relief he may be.... he's still infected. No one is safe. Even the most remote and adorable characters can and will be infected.
The fact that Big was actually looking for Froggy in the areas of some of the events that went down in a few of the previous issues… 👀😯😂 - But I teared a bit with that ending. Poor Big… unaware of the state of the world, and even unaware of the situation happening to him at that moment… 😔
Mad respect for Big. Fought fearless against a horde of zombots just to protect his best friend.
Good night, sweet prince.

Well.... Big IS a cat. And we ALL know how stealthy cats are...
It’s honestly astonishing how oblivious Big was to the whole Metal Virus fiasco.
And although his fate before Super Sonic fixed everything was tragic, his innocence kind of cushions the blow (for him, not us)
Actually downright terrifying to see the events of this series in the perspective of everyday people (If you can count Big as "everyday people")
Because most people cant really fight back or do anything against such apocalyptic events if they arent the main characters
All the more reason for a new story arc where characters explicitly try to kill Eggman. After all this, the world should want his head on a pike.
My heart's pounding at the ending
yup nice
"Hey big guy!"
"Hey little guy..."
When Sonic said that, I was thinking about Steve Urkel when Steve called Carl the “big guy” from family matters.
Tropical paradise....
HOLY SH-
That went from adorable and fun with the references from other chapters... butnthat went terrifying REAL quick!
Also shows how music and sound effects really help with the experience, and you guys are MASTERS to stuff like this!
:D
I absolutely love the score in this comic. Who would've thought Big's Emerald Coast theme could sound so cinematic or even tragic? I wish we could hear the instrumental by itself.
This was definitely one of the most fun videos to work on, voice wise and mixing wise. And I'm glad people seem to be liking it too.
Awesome job on this one, Ryan~
You did a really good job with voicing Big, very similar to how he sounds in the games!
Yeah dude, awesome job
I bet the mixing was fun. Are there any behind the scenes on how to implement some of the voice filters\effects,
@@davidgipe997 Landy is the one who usually handles the voice filters
@@HypeVoiceActing Thanks for the reply and info. :)
This was one of the most unsettling shorts when I read it. I knew what was coming, and you still made me feel that pit in my stomach. *Shudders*
I've been waiting for this! It's a great Big the Cat story. I wish he'd show up in the comics more often.
Also his voice actor is spot-on! And the metallic sound creeping over his voice at the end really added to the whole thing.
listen to naruto don't try to look so wise music
Yo. The way the music dropped into a dead, serious tone by the middle of the dub sent shivers up my spine. You guys NEVER fail to set the mood in these dubs. Keep it up! 👏 🙌
hellve a way to go
Okay I know I’m very late to this. But did anyone else notice at 3:27 the infected monkey guy from issue 22 was sneaking past Gemeral while he was distracted with Big? It’s basically implying that Restoration HQ might not have fallen if it wasn’t for Big. That is very dark and I can’t help but love it.
Yikes
Oh you're good!
So if big was never there restoration hq maybe would have fallen.
@@captainroy9832 Indeed. Or at least they would have lasted longer.
Thats what I like about Bigs Character. Hes a simple guy who minds his own business with his best friend froggie. Hes not the smartest guy in the world but he has great determination and courage and will protect his friends if he has too. Hes very innocent and naive and yet has a big heart. :)
Also give your Musician some more luv too! This guy is great at making the Metal Virus Theme! Its so scary yet terrifying at the same time.
I realized the frog caught it first by jumping directly on the person for big 4:37, then big stayed with him til the end.
Dang. The lengths Big would go for Froggy. He’s almost at Samwise Gamgee’s level as a friend. 😮
Great issue dub you guys!
big is such a simple character and i love him for it
Something I love about this one is that, at the start, before the Metal Virus is unleashed, the comic panel dividers(?) are mostly twigs and vines, etc, then when the MV gets released, those twigs and vines are also getting affected. As the Virus spreads in-universe, the dividers also become more metallic, until, by the end, they're almost completely corrupted. Another great instance of some very subtle storytelling from the IDW Team there.
Remember folks, Sonic adventure 1… Sonic adventure 2… *BIG’S BIG FISHING ADVENTURE 3!*
Ignorance truly is bliss. When Big got sick, he didn’t have any fear or dread. He basically just got to take a figurative nap.
he's too pure for this world.
Wow. Big sure had the greatest adventure lookin' for Froggy. 🐸
I saw where it was going but I STILL got chills, wow that was good!
0:30 love the reference to Big's theme "Lazy Days -Livin' in Paradise" with the "hey big guy, hey little guy"
Looking forward to issue 24 and the rest. Hope you get those up soon. Your dub of the Metal Virus story is the best. I love following along.
5:09 I thought this was a sonic comic... not a creepypasta
It’s an official idw comic, your not wrong
It’s hilarious. This comic is comedy at its finest. I love how he pulls an Adventure 2 and is just hiding somewhere during the main story
please do continue this series, and it would be really cool if you covered more sonic comic book series.
I will gladly stick around till the very last issue of the IDW series and hopefully if you do more sonic comic book series.
keep up the good work
You make it sound like they have no intention of continuing.
And they do have Archie dubs too
2:57 and the world was getting spooky 😭
Big is such a fluffy and loveable character and
It almost hurts that he had a tragic ending in this story.,
Man, HyperVoicingActing, how do you do pull of such a charming Big voice? It was very sweet all the way through -- really want to hug him. Great work, everyone at AD!
This series continues to break my heart! But y'all did such a great job, as usual!
3:29 So _THAT’S_ how the infected refugee got in!? Dammit, Big... 😫
I know, it prolly would've made little difference.
Never noticed that part until now, damn Big really accidentally distracted Gemerl from scanning everybody.
this man been everywhere, he somehow reached Eggman's ship 😭
You guys have such accurate voices! 😃
1:10 I love how Whisper and her Wisps are jusy staring at Big.
My reactions in this were-
1: Aw..Big is just so wholesome.
Big is a literal trooper. He traveled around the world to find his friend. Even when the metal virus was a massive threat.
Poor Big, I felt so sorry for him
Nice job with picking his Voice Actor
Glad you enjoyed my take on Big ^^
@@HypeVoiceActing You Big Voice Acting reminds me of Big's Original Voice Actor
this is devastating, Big's innocence really shines through all the chaos, even in the safe zone where everyone gathered before Charmy broke loose... and he FOUGHT for his best friend?? chilling.
When it’s the apocalypse, nothing in the world is more precious than being with your best friend. This story hit me pretty hard.
Is this referencing how we would always find big in the background of some sonic games?
Also Jesus that ending was dark and kind of sad.
Indeed, the comic was meant to show that the Metal Virus was a threat to everyone, even the most remote background characters weren't safe.
Whoever wrote this storyline is an evil evil man. Props to the voice actors tho!!
The music, man! Really gives off this unsettling feel. Another superb dub, I must say.
2:43, 3:11, 3:40, 4:17, 4:41
These shots right here...
Issue 24 will be sad because one particular character gets turned. Tangle.
One thing I'll say is that big has to be such an adored sonic character but seeing him protect froggy was heartwarming, But seeing him still be happy to be at his home made me sad.
That actually gave me chills a little
No No NOoo not BIG and FROGGY NOOO😭😭
I love the the way that big was just every throughout the series and I just noticed him once in all of 'em
I knew big was at restoration hq but I didn’t know he was EVERYWHERE 😂
This was really cute, then it got super depressing really quickly. Truly haunting! This dub is brilliant!
Poor big.. dude went out not even knowing he was being infected
That was amazing I really enjoyed watching this. Big the cat voice just sound exactly the same In the games. The voice acting for Big the cat was amazing and all other voice actors as well. Amazing work guys 😊👍
Thanks, I'm glad you liked my Big voice
@@HypeVoiceActing Your very welcome 😊 You voice Big the cat so well and talented. You got a great work of Sonic team dub voice actors dubbing the IDW Sonic comics. Great work everyone 😊👍
I love how chill and fearless Big is during a worldwide apocalypse
He's clearly saying multiple times he's afraid.
Techno Media does such an excellent job making each dub feel so cinematic!
I was so happy this whole comics knowing he was still safe but then I saw froggy’s eyes and well man I don’t want to talk about it
This is probably the saddest infection so far, poor big
big is too pure for this world.
Okay this was both cute and scary at the same time
I love how he was everywhere when it comes to the idw comics, just like he was everywhere in adventure 2 😂😎 awesome reference
the end made me cry
Dude that went from a happy story to sad and then just straight up horrifying
I was always…THERE!
Chills, shivers, I feel them in m timbers, I swear the end got me just bigs blank eyes petting metallic froggy while being roboticized and looking at a dystopian landscape
Infected froggy actually jumpscared me. I was not expecting it at all.😅
I know the whole running theme of Big is that he's always everywhere but rarely ever seen, but it does confuse me that Amy and Cream never once mention Big, like at all not a word of his safety or anything. Also a shame he didn't get a major appearance or acknowledgement as a zombot, I imagine that would have been quite the shock in the main story.
Never thought I would cry over Big the Cat and Froggy.
Big resonates do much chad energy, I wouldn't be surprised if the metal virus had no effect on his mind.
Do you even know what a chad is?
Poor guy.. nobody really cared to tell him what was going on, and he was only focused on finding froggy, tangling up zombots in the process. He was getting infected too without knowing. The shots of zombots were sending chills down my spine, and the music sent more chills.
Can't believe this is from Sonic comic
I find this to be a perfect way of showcasing just how inescapable the virus is. Distant as Big is to the cast, comic relief he may be.... he's still infected. No one is safe. Even the most remote and adorable characters can and will be infected.
Wow, that fridge horror was so well done
Oh Big 💔😭😭 thats just heartbreaking
Big is another one of my favorite characters. Sad to see him go out like this. My heart
I hate how Biggie is so oblivious to everyone and everything except for his love for Froggy...
I love how the only reason Big didn't solo an entire group of zombots was because froggy got infected lol
Oh no, he did. He wrapped a whole group on a tree and dipped.
The fact that Big was actually looking for Froggy in the areas of some of the events that went down in a few of the previous issues… 👀😯😂
-
But I teared a bit with that ending. Poor Big… unaware of the state of the world, and even unaware of the situation happening to him at that moment… 😔
