    The most unrealistic part is that the 2 cheerleaders and Tiffany weren’t in jail after the investigation into Stephs fall. They literally had an audience see the 2 girls push the male cheerleader.

    In real life there was a high school girl who was hit by 2 cars and ended up in a coma for about 20 years. She woke up after about 20 years, however 20 years of muscle atrophy left her unable to walk and have terrible speech.

      Cheerleading has the highest rate of injury for school sports- partly because schools refuse to spend money on proper equipment, because they don't see it as a real sport. It's infuriating, to say the least.

They also earn points at the competitions, so kinda fits your definition as well.

I'd even go as far as to say the top 5% own 95% of the wealth in the county.       It's wild how much wealth disparity there is in the USA! For some $10,000 of debt can destroy their entire lives and leave a person homeless, while others make that money in a few hours.     While it would derail the story, Tiffany and the two girls who caused the accident should have spent a long time in jail for attempted murder and their families should have paid the hospital care for 20 years. But this is a movie and "you can't shoot the horses".

    Stephanie had such a planned life, until she got into a coma and everything changed. Even though middle aged, she made the cheerleaders regain their cheerleading energy

The only thing making this character less bad is that someone put her in a coma. That Tiffany girl who put her in a coma had everything handed to her, as she was actually rich and got to live a great adult life. Stephanie worked hard to become a cheerleader and a popular girl despite losing her mom and not having a rich family like Tiffany, and she lost twenty years of her life because of a coma. I'm sorry that that's somehow not good enough for you. I love that nice racist touch you've added as well. It really shows the real reason why you say that Stephanie "had everything handed to her".
      It's the classic "Her problems don't matter because she's white. It's just white women tears!" Line that is the reason why racism against minorities isn't taken seriously. Once over 18 and over a 2 to 3 year gap of school even for medical reasons, you go to adult GED school, your not even legally allowed to step foot in any public school as a student. Even special circumstances to the medical part, As an adult she can not join any athletic team or most clubs, field trips, or even the locker room, cause unless staff or parent. Minors can not mix with adults. So many rules there of. Every state has medical stipulations mostly for cancer kids but her education could never be in that setting.

    I love that she is no longer “the fat character” in movies. She can finally play roles with more depth and room to be creative. It’s unfortunate tho that there aren’t more meaningful roles for plus size actresses.

    Realistically, I would sue Tiffany for all the lost time experienced in the coma. She needs to be in jail! How is this culprit getting away with it. Don't give me power of friendship bullshit. This is 2022! The only thing I like is Martha's version of the school. Students friendly, no prom ridiculousness, no violence, no overly popular cheerleaders. Those things really should be things of the past. Modern school don't have that much drama anymore.

    Umm, the person who wrote the script should of consolidated someone about walking after being in a comma for 20 yeas.
    I was non weight bearing for a bit over a year after in accident. "Stuck in a wheelchair" you literally can't just start walking again.
    I never knew how heavy my upper body was tell the 1st time I was allowed to try and walk. Took close to a year to walk again!

    A very unrealistic thing in this movie is that Steph was able to immediately move around after being inactive for 20 YEARS. Her muscles would have been extremely weak and I’m assuming that during her time in a coma that no one has been training or exercising her muscles and limbs. Though even if someone had been doing that, Steph would have still had to go through existence physical training

    I had saw something like this before in a kdrama called 17 but 30 and what I like was when the girl woke up from her coma she went through rehabilitation process for months as she was lying on patient bed for 13 years so her body became stiff which made it look very realistic.
    The only point dissapoints me in this was Stefani didn't went through that even when she was lying for 20 years. She was walking greatly.

    Stephanie's body really drags me out of the movie. She's way too filled out and athletic for someone who's been in a coma for more than a few weeks.
    I know you're supposed to no think about it, but, they could have done a little to make her seem like she hasn't moved in two decades.
