After following the sequence of components test, we reached the replacement of the controller, which we could reach through the back of the cabinet, where the extensive heat damage of the batting, the oven light socket, the plastic housings on the relays, we were done. We have pronounced our Frigidaire Gallery electric range with convection oven and are shopping for another range today. Thank you for the video.
I just solved a problem so easily. The story: Bought new Frigidaire appliances. Stove / Oven Range didn't work at all. Nothing got hot, but the clock and lights worked. I had to call warranty in and scheduled a service tech to come in a few days. ANd thinking the worst, I wanted to see if maybe someone can tell me how serious the problem is and I am going to be out of my oven for another week or so, I found this youtube video. It gave me the idea to double check the power to the brand new oven. And so it was in deed. The plug was not all the way in, just enough though to give the lights and the clock its power, but now enough power to the burner elements. I pushed the plug in all the way and now everything works. It boggles my mind of why the factory or the tech was not able or willing to troubleshoot that with me over the phone. It's so easy. Thanks for your video.
Ha...thanks. That's what was wrong. I pulled the stove out and it looked plugged in but I pushed it and it went in just a little bit more and problem solved...thanks

Question. I have a 15 year old Kenmore stove that I have replaced the element in several times. The other day I turned it on to preheat and came back in about 15 minutes and all the lights were off. I reset the breaker and the lights came back on but the bake element would not come back on. I then checked the bake element and it had broken in a hot spot. I replaced it the next day and it would still not come on. The only things left in the circuit are the control board and fusing resistor. I think the control board is ok because I can press the bake button and then the up arrow and when I press the bake button again I can hear the relay activate. The same thing happens in the broil circuit - I can hear the broil relay activate. The top side of the oven works fine. I have all four top elements but no bake or broil. I think the fusing resistor popped. What do you think?
Hey had this same issue. Clock comes on but over nor stove heats up. Turns out all we had to do was hit the “clean” button on the stove 🤦🏾♀️😩 thank god because Christmas is literally 6 days away and no one wants to cash out big bucks during the holidays. 🙌🏾🙌🏾 thank you guys for all Your advice and this video. One thing RC does not mention with regard to the control board. You can use a multimeter to test voltage is being sent to the oven element at 220. If it isn't that is probably a good test to rule this out.
Really good information, sadly for me other than the element there’s no way I could be a regular person replacing thermal fuse or thermostat sensor oh my God I touched the oven control but I might blow the whole house up!… Good video though but it only reinforce that I don’t know what to do about my oven not getting hot I might find out what it is but I will be able to repair it myself other than the element
@@raquelclass9647 there is a reason specialists exist, while you don't want to pay, they are gonna be able to do it and do it right if you don't feel confident. Especially if you think your gonna mess something up worse which is kinda hard to do if it's already not working. It's generally cheaper to have it done right and with a warranty that comes with it. Vs you being a parts replacer, guessing, getting it wrong, and costing more money in the end. Just a lil food for thought.
This just saved me a huge headache and a lot of anger. Thought my brand new range had already broken. Turns out it just barely popped one breaker. Reset the breaker all good.
That’s all already above and beyond me I was hoping for something simple. Other than the element I cannot be capable of taking care of any of those other six things.

When I turned it back on (I realized I didn't switch my cooker isolator switch off), my hob and grill worked fine. MY oven light and fan worked, only it wasn't heating up. This information might come in handy- I have a 13 year old GE profile oven . My symptom ? The oven would reach the correct temperature but after 10-20 mins I would have lost about 50 -60 degrees ... I ended up changing the termostat - that was not the problem. Solution - it was the convention element that was burnt !! Somehow the oven uses all three elements to keep the termperature of the oven and not just the upper and lower elements.
Wow, same GE Profile with same issue of not maintaining heat and if I open the door, heat escapes, it doesn’t reheat unless I turn off the oven and reset the temperature. I suspect it drops heating during long baking sessions as well. Hateful that it counts up the temp as it preheats, but then lies and only shows the desired temp and not the actual.
I've got the exact oven as pictured. Yesterday the baking element burned up in spectacular fashion. Today I replaced the element and neither element (broil and bake) is working. I've got 120 V to each leg. Continuity to new element. Wires are not burned up. I cannot see any visible burn marks nor do I smell anything at circuit board. The cooktop works. I have 1093 ohms of resistance on temp sensor. What else could it be? Are the broil and bake relays able to be replaced or are they soldered to the board? Help please...

Hello, can anyone help me? I have Gorenje Ora Ito oven and it won't turn on. The biggest issue is that the system keeps beeping, while constantly showing/blinking an error/fault code of F26-F28. Does anyone know what is the issue and how it can be fixed? I tried to resetting the time, but to no avail.
Dang mouse got into mine. After watching this video I had the courage to open up the back and see if I could get lucky. I guess the little guy got hungry one day and chewed up a bunch of wires. Anyway, all I had to do was splice up the wires and give it a good clean Now I'm back to cooking. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome! Mice do that. Make sure to clean the path they walked with bleach or a mice urine cleaner because they will come back over and over again. Also good to clean up any feces to not expose yourself to disease they could carry. Wear rubber gloves when your cleaning and keep it well ventilated. They might be using the wire material to build a nest.
WIthout watching video, it's probly a fried wire and terminal box. Take off the back cover. See a fried wire going into a melted plastic black box at the bottom? That's it. Unscrew the wires, unscrew the terminal box, get the model number from the drawer in front, go to the appliance parts store, get a new terminal box, go to Home Depot, get a new wire prong connector, screw in the terminal box, cut the fried wire back to where it's not fried (not too far!), put on the new connector, screw it all back together. Turn on your new working stove and buy something with the $200 you just saved.
Can i use a broken stove and use broken wooden pallets in the bottom of the stove like a wood burner would it work cause i could also use that to warm my house ?
Just go and buy a new one, because if it's your first time changing a part in the oven you won't fully relax because your be constantly wrorried weather you do it right or not your even be thinking about gass explosion sounds silly but it's true .just go and buy a new one

You have two breakers in the same inlet? Dude if you have two single pole breakers to make 240v you have bigger problems bud.

I have the exact oven in this video. The range on top works AND the broiler works but not the normal baking mode
On bake mode my oven doesn’t go past 150 degrees or doesn’t hear at all

My oven is about that old. They can last a very long time?

What if the oven is inconsistently heating? Sometimes it takes an hour to bake a pizza. Other times, 25 minutes will start to burn it.
You may need new oven thermostat or new oven switch Assy..the oven thermostat should read about 1000 ohms on a meter at 70 % F./ 21 C.
