Just guessing, but I’d say power figures are likely to be in the region of 600hp, which is insane in a production car.
May we know the oil&fuel consumption of these laps, if you want to share that data?
Notify me when you add back the "Hoffmeister" kink, along with the dual headlight on the M2 and get back to being a company of engineers. There's a reason Porsche have a better brand - they're not ruining iconic styling cues trying to be different. The M4 CSL - what an embarrassing use of a highlighter, and not even Texaco red I'd bet my M3 on it. BMW used to be a brute in a suit, now it doesn't know what to be... remind you of anything with purple hair?
Yes the car is fast, but does it have emotion or a soul? It's a difficult proposition when fake audio is pumped into the cabin, I mean why not play a Ferrari V12, something nice instead, it would be just as tacky and low rent like a fake blow off exhaust or Swarovski crystal in the cabin.

One of the only car brands that kept the spirit of true motorsport. No music, no flashy intro, just pure racing. Thats how you promote a car.

@@Str8representing lifespan and reliability bro the year is 2024 there is no diffrence what is the engine capacity, the alloy that was used in blocks are very diffrent from that was used before 30 years now it is way more durable, and believe me BMW is on the top in, they made the perfect examlpe 10 years ago BMW i8 3 cyl 1.5 Litre engine that still runs smooth with a lot of KM on the clock
My M52B28 got a damaged piston and oil leaking (i guess head gasket). It drives since 30.000 km without an issue and almost full power. BMW 6 cylinder are really no joke

LMAO what are you talking about... 488 GTB? It did 7:00 in the hands of an amateur journalist who had the opportunity to do like 3 laps in total with it in less than ideal conditions and regular road tires. This is nowhere near as fast. It's over 20 seconds slower on semi-slick tires in ideal conditions and with a driver that did thousands of laps around tracks with this car.
@@derbigpr500 You're mixing the 488 GTB and the 488 Pista i think. Although it's true that the 488 GTB would probable put down a faster time on today's pavement and with semi-slick tyres, it's very unlikely the difference would be over 10-15s.

That was a very fast lap at Nordschleife! It was so composed that looked the driver could even push a little more! But in fact, I think it’s already the fastest BMW there to this day!
As a former BMW M owner an now a Porsche 911 owner, I would love to see a BMW middle engined car like the old M1. Just imagine an I8 with that M4 CS engine (not hybrid)…I would sell my 911 immediately to buy one!🤩

I thought the 1st frame of this video was the lap time (sub 7:00), and was like...no way! I was thinking more along 7:20s, and I was spot on. Great video. Can't wait for the 4 series LCI, which I hope modifies the front fascia, for the better. Then I'll buy one!
4 series LCI has already been revealed, this is actually the CS version of the LCI.

This car is insane. I honestly thought it could go under 7 for a minute. Bonkers of a car. The fact that this is road legal and you get 4 seats in it is insane. Well done! I sure wish I could see a 2 seater shorter version with a manual gearbox, but I guess that's what the M2 is..Exept the M2 is also a 4 seater. Insane cars all time. Bmw should be still making manuals, for life imo. The driving pleasure is so perfect in these cars

I wonder if the firewall wasn't sound deadened and we were really hearing the engine....or if that was just audio being pumped in. I wish we could actually hear induction noise again (at least for M models).
As a Turk, I am a huge fan of the vehicles produced under the BMW brand and I want to receive the necessary training at BMW and become the best driver in the world. Of course, I am lucky enough to know what time will tell.

7:15 Holy shit did he come close to the barrier. An inch or two more to the left and he'd be saying hello to our friend Barry R. Mans was pushing.
180 mph on the straight while going uphill is fuckin nuts in coupe. Kudos bmw, that lap was insane.
Now imagine if it had a proper rear wing, and some fancy aero. This thing could to mega laptimes. Porsche has the 911 GT3 RS, Mercedes has the AMG GT Black Series, Ford is about to release the Mustang GTD. Maybe a BMW M4 GT-Packet version would be nice, to tackle them head on, and I know it could do damage in that front. But it's still amazing to see that without the aero the M4 CS can carry a lot of G-forces in corners and decent apex speeds in a lot of places. Really nice time!

So here on the screen you can have normal speed / RPM dials. Why? Because there more natural to read? So why not these normal ones in the car? Or the option to change them in the settings? Its digital, so not so hard to program for BMW i think. From day 1 I hate the new BMW dials.
