That's how you sell an album. Two word title, the album cover is said title. I saw Rat Taxi, I read "Rat Taxi" I click on Rat Taxi. I really enjoyed my time with this music, Favourite tracks were Rise & Shine, Home Bass, and Recess really surprised me, it took a while to get into it but it grew into something so much more as it went on, keyboards gave me streets of rage vibes which is NEVER a bad thing. I clicked on a whim and will be listening to this one again.
I was legitimately surprised to learn this wasn't a sleeper hit video game, but actually just a fire album. Can you imagine how sick a game this would be? Like crazy taxi but with animals and bizarre quests. Maybe you uncover a cabbie conspiracy, that goes all the way to the top- or bottom... (because you're rats)
You legit got a whole main character concept. Cheezy Street kind of outlines the protagonist as an escaped labrat (it's hard from the lab to the city, smarter than the average rat you see, the audio sampling of the scientist) who is using the conditioning/training they got from the experiments to navigate the 'maze' of the city in pursuit of cheese and freedom. Like, there's genuinely a *lot* that you could do with that.
I'm very particular on the vinyls that I'm willing to spend money for but I would definitely love to own the vinyl to this and stick the album cover on my wall.
This is exactly what Ratatouille would have been if Remy gave up the chef life and starred in Taxi Driver. What a masterpiece. You rock fam. I'd buy a vinyl immediately.

This is without a doubt my favorite Louie Zong album (previously it was Funky Friends). I love how the vibes shift a lot, one moment you’re listening to something inspired by Jet Ser Radio, and the next you’re listening to Dumpster Disco’s amazing blend with chiptune elements that sound like it could’ve come from a video game, even a hip-hop esque track which I wasn’t expecting. And yet switching up vibes makes listening through the album refreshing imo. Every song in this does not miss. Louie does not miss.
dumpster disco is my absolute favorite, theres just something abt it that tickles my brain so good i can listen to it 9 times non stop without it getting repetitive (also i find it ironic how traffic jam seems to be at a faster bpm than rush hour, when yknow, traffic jams are so goddamn slow and tedious)
I think it's a more frenetic pace to represent the /feeling/ of being in a traffic jam. You're right that traffic is slow crawl but inside the taxi I'm bugging out slamming my paws on the steering wheel and pulling my whiskers out

MY GOD what have i stumbled upon? Only on track 3 "Basement Boogie" and I'm absolutely loving the vibe of this album. This track takes the cake so far.
My favourite part is when the rat taxi said: "It's rat taxing time!"
