      22:10 HOLY CRAP! I actually have a... semi-man-hating cat. ALWAYS hisses at men, but then ALWAYS rubs against them IF they speak in a sad voice (ie: "Oh no, why did you hiss at me? I didn't do anything to you") ... never bites or scratches, but will hiss again if males touch him too much - you can circumvent that again with a sad voice, and he'll start rubbing against you apologetically. LMAO, I only ever tested him on one (VERY passing) trans woman, and he didn't hiss. I wish I could test my cat just for fun... just don't wanna upset some trans people if my cat ... "misgenders" them, LMAO
      There must be other people with man-hating and/or women-hating pets? Maybe do a reaction to them??? LOL

      On another note, for transphobes and homophobes who say "people are too young to know", get a friend they don't know you know to ask them about their first crush and how old they were. I think you'll find that they admit that they knew their gender and orientation at a young age. (There are subtleties to "you" vs "thou" that I won't say I have a complete sense of; "thou" could be dismissive or insulting in some contexts. I have a hypothesis: that the easiest identities to dismiss in oneself are aromantic, asexual, agender, bisexual, and pansexual. My idea is that all five of these, if left unexamined, can be assumed in a cisheteronormative society to be “oh everyone doesn’t like/feels like/does like whatever, but we just go along with it because that’s what expected of us.” For example, someone who is ace and is sex-repulsed, but goes along with it anyway because their partner expects it, or someone who is bi/pan who thinks that everyone is attracted to multiple genders and just don’t get into relationships with people from all of them

    • @xnitram4611
      @xnitram4611 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      as someone who is aromantic, asexual, and agender and nonbinary... yeah this is pretty much exactly how it went for me too. i assumed that lack of feeling was normal. i didn't even realize i didn't have those feelings at all because i just wasn't thinking about it. i sort of assumed that once i hit a certain age i'd start feeling those feelings too. it took me years before i realized that 1. other people actually *felt* real feelings in those areas and it WASN'T made up, and had felt them most of their lives, and 2. the idea that "i don't know if i've ever felt those things before because i don't know what they feel like, how am i supposed to tell" was actually itself a sign i'd never felt those feelings before
      the fact i didn't start 'noticing' others the way a lot of allos do, or get any inclination to do anything physical with anyone
      the fact i had no idea what a romantic crush felt like and had to try to force myself to have one, which big surprise didn't work
      the fact i felt absolutely no connection at all to the gender i was "supposed" to have, and was shocked when others said they did
      it is very, *very* easy to gloss over those things and that lack of feeling and just assume you're allocishet by default if you don't put in the conscious work to examine your orientation, attraction, and identity. it can completely fly under the radar if you're not specifically looking for it

      I’ve found it to be quite easy, in a sense English is “lucky” in that it has a pre-existing grammatical way of being gender neutral (the transphobes that think it’s ungrammatical can go argue with Shakespeare about it). I’ve found it very easy to default to they/them, though I usually switch to someone’s preferred pronouns when I learn what they are (even then I still use they/them a lot because it’s natural to me now).
      I also speak Dutch, and there it’s a bit more difficult. We do also have gender neutral “die/die/diens” (equivalent of they/them/their) but especially “diens” is seen as quite formal in my experience, so it’s less natural in regular speech.
      Dutch also has the old idea of “gender neutral he” but even more extreme than in English. We actually use “hij/hem” (equivalent of he/him) for _inanimate objects_ as well. For example “Mijn stoel is kapot, ik ging zitten en toen is hij in elkaar geklapt” is a perfectly acceptable sentence that translates roughly to “my chair is broken, I went to sit and then _he_ collapsed”.
      I realise this is perhaps an unnecessarily long reply to this short comment lol, hopefully it was interesting nonetheless. Have a nice day!!
      Edit: made the translation for the Dutch sentence slightly better, clarified that “diens” is equivalent to “their” not “them”

Turn the big ones including the ones in super stores do an OK job but you’re better off going to a smaller mom and pop shop and they do make gluten-free cake mix that you can make at home if you’re trust yourself or your family members but there are some good gluten-free be good so that you just kind of have to look and find a places around you that have the good quality gluten-free bait, goods imported, any crazy spelling, legally, blind, using speech to text technology, which tends to get messed up due to my speech impairment as well

Do wonder about you thinking mom and pop stores are better then chain stores, do you think that depends on the area and some are better or worse or do you think the small reach of smaller stores is just a stronger incentive to make higher quality goods? Or perhaps it's smaller bakeries might have a little more room to experiment with recipes rather then larger buisnesses, some products of which are likely factory produced and therefore pretty rigid in quality and sometimes cheaper made (depending on manufacturer)? I've always been curious about that ngl, since mom and pop stores can be hard to come by in some areas but I've heard others swear by them as well, I just have a hard time finding any that interest me to see for myself

"i don't like rollercoasters BUT this one is pretty fun" or "i'll eat pretty much anything BUT this pizza is worse than moldy cardboard" etc. so to start any sentence with a message of support followed by "BUT" just makes it clear the message of support can be discarded. it's being contradicted by whatever comes after "BUT," because if it wasn't you would use "AND." see the difference between "i support LGBT people BUT i think they're stealing my rights" vs "i support LGBT people AND i want them to have equal rights to cishet people."

      @marieugorek5917 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@discordiacreates6669 it is not in making the bread garlicky,, but in getting a bread of the appropriate consistency. To get a good crusty texture to bread with the large and pervasive gas bubbles such as are in baguettes and other breads traditionally used for garlic bread, one needs a certain amount of long-chain proteins. Traditionally, these would be the gliaden glutens in flours such as wheat or spelt. The proteins of most gluten-free flours are much shorter, resulting in a denser texture throughout, less dramatic rising, and a crust which is more chewy than crispy. The easiest way to overcome this challenge is to add egg, especially egg yolk, to breads which would not traditionally contain egg, so that the long-chain protiens in the egg will give the dough the elasticity for the sort of large gas bubble formation in high rising crusty breads. This is also why most gluten-free free cakes which are also vegan tend toward the chewier side; the egg substitutes such as applesauce, mashed banana, flaxmeal, and aquafava replace the binding action of eggs, but not the rising action. I can get a passable naan by using flaxmeal, aquafava, and active culture nut yogurts --all three, no two alone work -- but that is nothing compared to the rising action needed for a crusty baked loaf.

      I mean technically it’s possible to build a computer out of ternary, quaternary, quinary, and higher. Ternary especially has some nice features so it’s been proposed before. And where does a quantum computer fall? It has states that are a mixture of the binary 0 and 1, so perhaps it includes genders between “man” and “woman” but not genders outside that part of the spectrum.
      Seems the solution is a ternary quantum computer for true computational equality. Let’s get working gang!!

    • @stylis666
      @stylis666 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kikivoorburg Seems like the perfect solution to me. It's also how many non binary people describe their gender or being gender fluid: like being somewhere in a triangle where one corner has no gender and one has male and one has female.
      Seems perfect for me as well as a cis man, and I assume for most people. I mean, do all that many people perfectly fit on a point of that triangle? I sure don't. Maybe anatomically I almost fit perfectly, but men have breast tissue, and what do male eyeballs look like as opposed to female eyeballs?
      And the way I go about my days doesn't feel like I'm 100% male and nothing but male, but I'm also not female or non binary. So I'm a man, but I don't feel like I fit exactly on that male point of the triangle. It's more like I have an elastic tied somewhere in the male corner of the triangle and I'll just gravitate around that point a bit.
      I try to pull myself a little toward the female side sometimes, but that's just because I like feeling sexy and I find femininity generally more sexy than most masculinity, and I feel that expressing things from the opposite sex often emphasises your gender instead of another gender. Like how a feminine woman can look more feminine wearing a typically masculine blouse and a man can look more masculine in a stylish dress.
      I'm also wondering about the superposition of a binary system, is that really just a mix of the two and there's no option for _none?_ Because if _none_ just equals 0 that seems broken to me. Let's get cracking with this ternary system!

    15:02 LMAO after the first crack appeared on my egg it took me 2 f-ing years of denial and mental breakdown over gender, which were becoming harder and harder to deny untill I just gave up and finally accepted I was indeed a girl. And then dysphoria went and said "But are you really though ?" 😭 (Strangely enough dysphoria is easier to manage somehow ? Like dysphoria is there everyday, while I had time to breath between breakdowns, but said breakdowns were the worst things I ever experienced lmao)

      Dysphoria was waaaay easier to deal with once I understood what was going on. I was able to say to myself, "It's not a bad body. There is nothing inherently wrong with it. Some parts of it aren't right for me but that's not it's fault." It sounds silly but being able to forgive my body really helped. There will always be aspects that trigger dysphoria but I can accept that better now.

    I have a wholesome trans-related story for anyone who wants it
    So ever since i was 7 or 8 i wanted a little brother. My mom didnt want more kids, and at the time i knew my only sibling as my older sister. being a child i assumed that i could get a brother by wishing for one using the candles on my birthday cake, and of course when my mom didnt randomly appear with a baby i assumed that i wouldnt get my wish. A few years later, my brother came out to me as trans. And the best part? He's mistaken for my younger sibling because of the fact that im taller than him. So in the end, the birthday candles WORKED and i got a "little" brother :)
    Always make a wish on your birthday folks!

I'm a trans woman and when I come across someone that has a bigoted view of me or of trans people in general, its not worth trying to argue. To them you will always be wrong. You can't turn a rock into a dog no matter how hard you try. Best to just walk away and let them think what they want. Why ruin your day.

      This. I hate the way that cishet people will make it seem as though it's trans people's job to educate others... I mean if that's a thing you want to do, then great, but it's not something you have to do. Trans people are just trying to exist. They have the resources to educate themselves. Walking away is an entirely valid method of dealing with bigots.
