Not going to lie, as a dad of 5, this hobby often takes a back seat. But there are times where I get to sit and relax and build. Time will come and go. Be patient and remember that it's just plastic. It ain't going now where. And it will be in a box waiting for you when your ready to return
I really agree a lot of people that say why bother painting a kit in the original colors haven't seen an unpainted and painted kit together. I did that one with the MG Heavyarms and its night and day the red, orange and yellow are so vibrant and bright in the painted kit and are so good. I love painting my kits in their original colors
Just shows you can always learn something new, I was watching this just for entertainedment but the toothpick for small dot fixes and bits is genius! Never thought to (brushing lacquer is a no no)
Great tips at the beginning, i forgot to wipe down my spray booth and the dust was on a few pieces of my model as well. I love that you showed a lot of mistakes, really shows how long a great build takes
Nice to have you back. You also forgot two things why there's a distinctive difference of a paint kit and one that is not regardless of chosen color. First, with dark type colors (although white parts can still be visible if you try hard enough), you'll easily see molded lines and you can "sometimes but not always" fix it by sanding over it with a sponge grit of starting with 600 or even 800 until you get to polishing grit sponges. Second, bigger the piece is, more visible the mold lines will be seen and mostly affects MG/PG/Mega size (some HG are possible). By painting it you're ultimately removing the mold that straight builders will encounter. Also congratulations on a new family member, big future ahead.
It’s so true about the difference between painted kits and unpainted kits. I was just in Japan and saw a Deathscythe Hell that was just gorgeous, with the colors vibrant and popping out. I don’t have the space and ventilation for an airbrush, but I wish I could do that with mine.
I hope motherhood is treating you well. I would say to take your time and not worry about posting so much, but since making content is how you make money, I'll say to do your best to find a good balance and take care of yourself. Love the build. I really need to build a GM. I've still never built one!
Congratulations on the new family member here hopefully she’s healthy and safe . And thank you for update and most importantly thanks for returning we all missed you !!
Hello to you all! It makes us all so happy to see you all back. I wish you,Kughee and your daughter a wonderful life. And also your family's, and everyone else on here. Have a wonderful life to all. And keep up the wonderful work that brings us all so much joy to watch. Thank you!
Your painting suggestions/comments really makes life easier. And it's so true with the correlation of painting kits/time/and the backlog that never disappears.
thanks for promoting a clean workspace! ive seen some artists (of all kinds) mock those trying to keep things clean, as if it’s a sign of “not a real artist” lol !
Really glad you’re back. You make the best technique videos on TH-cam. Thank you for thoroughly explaining what you’re doing and why. And your results are so good! Edit: oh and I love the personal bits at the end, I love you and Kughee lol. Congrats on the baby!
"Why paint a kit the same colors that it was molded in?" is a fun question. Ilike your answer better than mine... My answer is more likely along the lines of "Well, it helps me hid my mistakes better when I can paint over them...." or "easier to hide the gaps" or some such.... Thanks for the update! I always walk away learning something when I watch your videos, and get motivated to build the kits I have (looks at the pile of shame collecting dust....).
i can totally feel you, my kids are 5 and 4 now, and the last 3 years since 2019 the covid started in Canada, me and my wife had to take care of the 2 kids ourselves, in early 2021 I had to get back to work, and kids back to schools, just hope the grandparents can come over to help us take care of our kids and live with us after the 3 years 😭, so me and my wife can get back to our works like before
welcome back to u sis.. a while alrdy.. but i agree with sis one thing is straight build and painted kit with same colour build is very different like sky and sun is sit side to side
Congrats with the baby! Building gunpla really helps me get through the bad bits of being a parent (being stuck at home, not sleeping). I found gunpla after we had the first kid (we have 3 now) and haven't had the chance to airbrush yet. I do now have a full airbrush set up though and hope to start this year.
Welcome back! So glad to see you, watching you work on these model is always a great joy! It's been already a year, unbelievable. Seems moments since you first posted about the birth of your little girl! I wish to all three of you a Happy New Year,! Much love!
After finding you while your channel was down, I am super excited to see you back! Amazing video/model to return on. Also, the fan builds are beautiful as well
Welcome back !!! Great to see you and Kughee back. Had been looking forward to the return of you guys on the channel. Congrats to the new baby girl & Happy New Year !!! Wishing you and your family a blissful and fruitful new year in 2023.
Heya, so happy to see you're back, you really helped me find the drive to get into airbrushing my gunpla, although I'm still very much a novice and have been practicing on Bandai's 30 Minutes Missions Line (I'm still too afraid to touch my Gundam XD, I'm in the UK they can be quite hard to get hold of, especially with shipping :/) I've been referring back to your airbrush basics series a lot, thank you so much for all your help, huge congrats to you and Kugdai on your little girl :) again so good to have you back! :)
Yo frosty welcome back to the calming void that is gunpla.
Thanks!!
Congrats on the baby girl! So happy to see you and Kughee back! Both of you are the absolute best and were definitely missed!
