    I've started making scrunchies this way now, and it's so much easier than trying to get the 2 raw ends of fabric to look neat squished in together! Thanks hon.

      That's great to hear! Yes it's less fiddly than getting the raw edges to match, and I find that it's also much more fun!

    Thank you!! Best tutorial I have seen by far. I made the most beautiful scrunchie. It looks high end and cost me pennies. I tied the elastic in a tight knot instead of the zig zag stitch (that worked better for me). I am subscribed !

    I am learning how to sew. I was wondering why do you back stitch for ? Thank you

    • @HeyViviLondon
      @HeyViviLondon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Back stitching is important so that the stitches don't come undone, it's a way of securing your stitching. Usually you would always backstitch at the beginning and at the end of every row of stitching so that your seams don't unravel. Hope that helps!

    • @HeyViviLondon

      Hi, great question, so if you use a sewing machine for the final stitch it will be visible. If you don't want the stitches to show then you can sew it by hand using a "ladder stitch". Hope that helps!
